3 Safety instructions
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
• Installation and removal of the device may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Do not disconnect any cables when the device is in use.
• If this device's connection cable is damaged, the connection cable must be replaced by
the manufacturer, a service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent safety
hazards.
• This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel. Improper repairs can lead to con-
siderable hazards.
• When the device gets disassembled: Detach all connections. Ensure that no voltage is
present on any of the inputs and outputs.
WARNING! Fire hazard
• Do not place the device on highly flammable surfaces.
• Do not cover the vents.
• Avoid the contact with direct heat sources.
WARNING! Health hazard
• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they

have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
•Electrical devices are not toys. Always keep and use the device out of the reach of very
young children.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
• Observe that parts of the device may still conduct voltage even if a fuse has blown.
• Do not use the device in wet conditions or submerge in any liquid. Store in a dry place.
• Only use accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not modify or adapt any of the components in any way.

• Before start-up, check that the voltage specification on the data plate is the same as that of
the power supply.
• Ensure that other objects cannot cause a short circuit at the contacts of the device.
• Ensure that the negative and positive poles never come into contact.
Installing the device safely
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
• Lay the cables so that they cannot be damaged by the doors or the hood.
• Crushed cables can lead to serious injury.
CAUTION! Suffocation hazard
Install the device in a well ventilated area.
CAUTION! Risk of injury
• Ensure that the device is securely fastened so that it cannot get loose under any circum-
stances (e. g. sudden braking, accidents) and cause injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
• When positioning the device, ensure that all cables are suitably secured to avoid any form
of trip hazard.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Do not place the device near heat sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens, etc.).
• Set up the device in a dry location where it is protected against splashing water.
• Use ductwork or cable ducts if it is necessary to lay cables through metal panels or other
panels with sharp edges.
• Do not lay the cables so that it is loose or heavily kinked.
• Do not pull on the cables.

• Do not place the device near AGM or EFB batteries because they produce flammable, cor-
rosive and explosion gas while working.
Safety precautions when handling batteries
WARNING! Risk of injury
• Batteries contain aggressive and caustic acids. Avoid battery fluid coming into contact with
your body. If your skin does come into contact with battery fluid, wash that part of your
body thoroughly with water. If you sustain any injuries from acids, contact a doctor immedi-
ately.
• When working on batteries, do not wear any metal objects such as watches or rings. Lead
acid batteries can cause short circuits which can cause serious injuries.
• Only use insulated tools.
• Do not place any metal parts on the battery.
• Wear goggles and protective clothing when working on batteries. Do not touch your eyes
when working on batteries.
• Do not use defective batteries.

Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
CAUTION! Electrocution hazard
• Keep the battery away from water.
• Avoid short circuits.
• Avoid clothing rubbing against the battery.
• Wear antistatic clothing when handling the battery.
CAUTION! Explosion hazard
• Do not place the battery in a area with flammable liquids or gases.
• Never attempt to charge a frozen or defective battery. Place the battery in a frost-free area
and wait until the battery has acclimatised to the ambient temperature. Then start the charg-
ing process.
• Do not smoke, use an open flame, or cause sparking near the engine or a battery.
• Keep the battery away from heat sources.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Only use rechargeable batteries.
• Prevent any metal parts from falling on the battery. This can cause sparks or short-circuit the
battery and other electrical parts.
• Ensure that the polarity is correct when connecting the battery.
• Follow the instructions of the battery manufacturer and those of the manufacturer of the sys-
tem or vehicle in which the battery is used.

• If the battery has to be removed, first disconnect the ground connection. Disconnect all
connections and all consumers from the battery before removing it.
• Only store fully charged batteries. Recharge stored batteries regularly.
• Do not carry the battery by its terminals.
Safety precautions when handling lead acid batteries
CAUTION! Health hazard
The water-acid liquid inside the battery can evaporate and cause an acidic odor. Use the battery
only in a well-ventilated area.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• The battery is not sealed. Do not turn the battery on its side or upside down. Place the bat-
tery on a horizontal surface.
• Check the acid level for open lead acid batteries regularly.
• Immediately recharge deeply discharged lead acid batteries to avoid sulfation.
4 Intended use
The battery monitor is intended to monitor and control the current information about the battery charging and
discharging current from 12 V lead acid batteries of AGM, Gel and Wet. The battery monitor is intended to con-
nect the connected batteries in parallel and protect them from deep discharge. The battery monitor is intended
to be installed in recreational vehicles.
The battery monitor is not intended to be used with lithium batteries.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor
installation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible
failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

5 Target Group
The mechanical and electrical installation and setup of the device must be performed by a qualified
technician who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and operation of
automotive equipment and installations, and who is familiar with the applicable regulations of the
country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or used, and has received safety training to
identify and avoid the hazards involved.
6 Operation
1. Switching the battery monitor on or off:

Making settings
Open the basic settings by tapping the icon for a few seconds.
The following settings can be made:
• Setting the language
• Setting the house battery 1 type and capacity
• If available, setting the house battery 2 type and capacity
• Setting the date and time

Display the next screen by tapping the icon.
Display the previous screen by tapping the icon.
Increase a value by tapping the icon.
Lower a value by tapping the icon.
Select a setting by tapping the icon.

Confirm the setting by tapping the icon.
Cancel the set setting by tapping the icon.

7 Disposal
Recycling packaging material: Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.
Recycling products with non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries or light sources:
• If the product contains any non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries or light
sources, you don't have to remove them before disposal.
• If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling center or specialist deal-
er for details about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
• The product can be disposed free of charge.

3 Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG! Gefahr durch Stromschlag
• Montage und Demontage des Geräts dürfen nur durch qualifiziertes Fachpersonal erfolgen.
• Lösen Sie keine Kabel, wenn das Gerät in Betrieb ist.
• Wenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Geräts beschädigt ist, muss das Anschlusskabel durch
den Hersteller, einen Kundendienstmitarbeiter oder eine entsprechend ausgebildete Fach-
kraft ersetzt werden, um Gefahren zu verhindern.
• Reparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften durchgeführt werden. Durch un-
sachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.
• Bei Demontage des Geräts: Lösen Sie alle Verbindungen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Ein-
und Ausgänge spannungsfrei sind.

Sichere Installation des Geräts

• Verlegen Sie die Kabel so, dass sie nicht durch die Türen oder die Motorhaube beschädigt
werden können.
• Eingequetschte Kabel können zu lebensgefährlichen Verletzungen führen.

Installieren Sie das Gerät in einem gut belüfteten Bereich.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät sicher befestigt ist, sodass es sich unter keinen Umstän-
den (z.B. scharfes Abbremsen, Verkehrsunfall) lösen und Verletzungen der Fahrzeuginsas-

• Stellen Sie beim Aufstellen des Geräts sicher, dass alle Kabel korrekt gesichert sind und kei-
ne Stolpergefahr besteht.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen (Heizungen, direkte Sonnenein-
strahlung, Gasöfen usw.) auf.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen und gegen Spritzwasser geschützten Platz auf.
• Benutzen Sie Leerrohre oder Leitungsdurchführungen, wenn Leitungen durch Blechwände
oder andere scharfkantige Wände geführt werden müssen.
• Verlegen Sie Leitungen nicht lose oder scharf abgeknickt.
• Ziehen Sie nicht an den Leitungen.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von AGM- oder EFB-Batterien auf, da diese während
des Betriebs entzündliches, korrosives und explosives Gas erzeugen.
Sicherheit beim Umgang mit Batterien
WARNUNG! Verletzungsgefahr
• Batterien enthalten aggressive und ätzende Säuren. Verhindern Sie jeden Körperkontakt mit
der Batterieflüssigkeit. Sollte Ihre Haut mit Batterieflüssigkeit in Berührung kommen, so spü-
len Sie das entsprechende Körperteil gründlich mit Wasser ab. Suchen Sie bei Verletzun-
gen durch Säure unbedingt einen Arzt auf.
• Tragen Sie während der Arbeit an Batterien keine Metallgegenstände wie Uhren oder Rin-
ge. Bleisäurebatterien können Kurzschlussströme erzeugen, die zu schweren Verletzungen
führen können.
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich isolierte Werkzeuge.
• Legen Sie keine Metallteile auf die Batterie.
• Tragen Sie während Arbeiten an Batterien eine Schutzbrille und Schutzkleidung. Berühren
Sie während Arbeiten an Batterien nicht Ihre Augen.
• Verwenden Sie keine defekten Batterien.

Bewahren Sie die Batterie außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.

auf.

• Versuchen Sie nie, eine eingefrorene oder defekte Batterie zu laden. Stellen Sie die Batterie
in diesem Fall an einen frostfreien Ort und warten Sie, bis sich die Batterie der Umgebungs-
temperatur angepasst hat. Beginnen Sie erst dann mit dem Ladevorgang.
• Rauchen Sie in der Nähe des Motors oder einer Batterie nicht, verwenden Sie keine offenen
Flammen und verursachen Sie keine Funken.
• Halten Sie die Batterie von Wärmequellen fern.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich wiederaufladbare Batterien.
• Verhindern Sie, dass metallische Teile auf die Batterie fallen. Das kann Funken erzeugen
oder die Batterie und andere elektrische Teile kurzschließen.
• Beachten Sie beim Anschluss der Batterie die korrekte Polarität.
• Beachten Sie die Anleitungen des Batterieherstellers und des Herstellers der Anlage oder
des Fahrzeugs, in denen die Batterie verwendet wird.
• Wenn die Batterie entfernt werden muss, trennen Sie zuerst die Masseverbindung. Trennen
Sie alle Verbindungen und alle Verbraucher von der Batterie, bevor Sie diese ausbauen.
• Lagern Sie nur vollständig aufgeladene Batterien ein. Laden Sie eingelagerte Batterien re-
gelmäßig auf.
• Tragen Sie die Batterie nicht an ihren Klemmen.
Sicherheitsvorkehrungen beim Umgang mit Blei-Säure-Batterien
VORSICHT! Gesundheitsgefahr
Die wasser- und säurehaltige Flüssigkeit in der Batterie kann verdampfen und einen sauren Geruch
verursachen. Verwenden Sie die Batterie nur in gut belüfteten Bereichen.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
• Die Batterie ist nicht versiegelt. Drehen Sie die Batterie nicht auf die Seite oder auf den
Kopf. Legen Sie die Batterie auf eine waagerechte Fläche.
• Prüfen Sie den Säurestand bei offenen Bleibatterien regelmäßig.
• Laden Sie tiefentladene Bleibatterien sofort wieder auf, um eine Sulfatierung zu vermeiden.
4 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Batteriewächter dient zur Überwachung und Steuerung der aktuellen Informationen über den Batterielade-
und -entladestrom von 12 V-Blei-Säure-Batterien vom Typ AGM-, Gel- und Nassbatterie. Der Batteriewächter ist
dafür vorgesehen, die angeschlossenen Batterien parallel zu schalten und vor Tiefentladung zu schützen. Der
Batteriewächter ist für den Einbau in Freizeitfahrzeuge vorgesehen.
Der Batteriewächter ist nicht zur Verwendung mit Lithiumbatterien vorgesehen.
Dieses Produkt ist nur für den angegebenen Verwendungszweck und die Anwendung gemäß dieser Anleitung
geeignet.
Dieses Handbuch enthält Informationen, die für die ordnungsgemäße Installation und/oder den ordnungsge-
mäßen Betrieb des Produkts erforderlich sind. Installationsfehler und/oder ein nicht ordnungsgemäßer Betrieb

oder eine nicht ordnungsgemäße Wartung haben eine unzureichende Leistung und u.U. einen Ausfall des Ge-
räts zur Folge.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für Verletzungen oder Schäden am Produkt, die durch Folgendes ent-

• Unsachgemäße Montage oder falscher Anschluss, einschließlich Überspannung

5 Zielgruppe
Die mechanische und elektrische Installation und Einrichtung des Geräts müssen von einer qualifi-
zierten Fachkraft durchgeführt werden, die ihre Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse im Zusammenhang mit
dem Aufbau und der Bedienung von Kfz-Anlagen und -Installationen unter Beweis gestellt hat und
die mit den geltenden Vorschriften des Landes, in dem das Gerät installiert und/oder verwendet
werden soll, vertraut ist und eine Sicherheitsschulung erhalten hat, um die damit verbundenen Ge-
fahren zu erkennen und zu vermeiden.
6 Betrieb

Einstellungen vornehmen
Öffnen Sie die Grundeinstellungen, indem Sie einige Sekunden lang auf das Symbol tippen.
Folgende Einstellungen können vorgenommen werden:
• Sprache einstellen
• Typ und Kapazität der Bordbatterie1 einstellen
• Falls vorhanden, Typ und Kapazität der Bordbatterie2 einstellen
• Datum und Uhrzeit einstellen

3 Consignes de sécurité

• L’installation et le retrait de l’appareil doivent uniquement être réalisés par un opérateur
qualifié.
• Ne débranchez pas de câbles pendant le fonctionnement de l’appareil.
• Si le câble de raccordement de l’appareil est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabri-
cant, un agent de service ou une personne de qualification similaire, afin d’éviter tout dan-
ger.
• Seul un personnel qualifié est habilité à effectuer des réparations sur l’appareil. Des répara-
tions inadéquates peuvent engendrer des risques considérables.
• Lorsque l’appareil est démonté: Débranchez tous les raccords. Assurez-vous qu’aucune
entrée ou sortie n’est sous tension.

• Ne placez pas l’appareil à proximité de sources de chaleur (radiateurs, rayonnement so-
laire, fours à gaz, etc.).
• Installez l’appareil dans un endroit sec et à l’abri des éclaboussures d’eau.
• Si des lignes électriques doivent traverser des cloisons en tôle ou autres murs à arêtes vives,
utilisez des tubes vides ou des conduits pour câbles.
• Ne posez pas les câbles sans les fixer ou en les pliant fortement.
• Ne tirez pas sur les câbles.
• Ne placez pas l’appareil à proximité de batteries AGM ou EFB, car elles produisent des gaz
inflammables, corrosifs et explosifs en fonctionnement.
Précautions appropriées lors de la manipulation des piles

• Les batteries peuvent contenir des acides agressifs et corrosifs. Évitez tout contact avec le
liquide que contient la batterie. En cas de contact cutané avec le liquide de la batterie, lavez
soigneusement la zone affectée avec de l’eau. Si vous subissez des blessures causées par
des acides, contactez immédiatement un médecin.
• Lorsque vous travaillez sur des batteries, ne portez pas d’objets métalliques tels que des
montres ou des bagues. Les batteries au plomb peuvent provoquer des courts-circuits pou-
vant causer des blessures graves.
• Utilisez uniquement des outils isolés.
• Ne placez aucune pièce métallique sur la batterie.
• Portez des lunettes et des vêtements de protection lorsque vous travaillez sur les batteries.
Ne touchez pas vos yeux lorsque vous travaillez sur les batteries.
• N’utilisez pas de batteries défectueuses.

Tenez la batterie hors de portée des enfants.

• Veillez à ce que la batterie n’entre pas en contact avec de l’eau.
• Évitez les courts-circuits.

• Portez des vêtements antistatiques lors de la manipulation de la batterie.

• Ne placez pas la batterie dans une zone contenant des liquides ou des gaz inflammables.
• N’essayez jamais de charger une batterie gelée ou défectueuse. Placez la batterie dans une
zone sans gel et attendez que la batterie se soit acclimatée à la température ambiante. Dé-
marrez ensuite le processus de chargement.
• Ne fumez pas, n’utilisez pas de flamme nue et ne provoquez pas d’étincelles à proximité du
moteur ou d’une batterie.
