Warnings and Safety Advice
In the interests of children's safety:
When d spos ng of the refr gerator, remove all doors and leave the
shelves ns de. Th s prevents ch ldren from be ng acc dentally trapped or
suffocated n the refr gerator.
Never open the cool ng un t - t s under h gh pressure.
Never store explos ve substances, such as l ghter fuel, petrol, ether or
s m lar products n the m n Cool.
The m n bar s not su table for the proper storage of med cat ons.
The m n Cool must be nstalled n such a way that acc dental contact w th
the cool ng un t (wh ch heats up when n use) s mposs ble.
The appl ance has to be connected to a properly earthed socket n l ne
w th the relevant val d country regulat ons.
Serv c ng must only be carr ed out by author sed serv ce personnel.
Coolants
Ammon a s used as the coolant. Th s s a natural compound wh ch s also
present n common household cleaners (1 l tre of salm ac cleaner conta ns
up to 200g of ammon a - th s s roughly double the amount conta ned n the
cool ng un t).
If a leak occurs (wh ch can be eas ly detected due to the unpleasant smell):
Sw tch the dev ce off (pull ma ns plug, f appl cable);
Vent late room thoroughly.
Inform hotel personnel.
For the safety of hotel guests and personnel, t has been establ shed by
nspectors that the coolant poses no threat to health.
WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Warranty arrangements are n accordance w th EC D rect ve 44/1999/CE and
the normal cond t ons appl cable for the country concerned.
For warranty or serv ce, please contact our customer serv ces sect on.
Spares can be obta ned all over Europe from our relevant customer serv ce
po nts.

INSTALLATION
The Purpose of this Manual
The manual shows you how to:
nstall the m n Cool correctly.
operate the m n Cool correctly.
guarantee the m n Cool´s correct ma ntenance and funct on ng.
deal w th faults by yourself.
Tools / Materials Required
You w ll need the follow ng tools for n t al operat on:
Unpacking
Check dur ng unpack ng that the dev ce s defect-free.
Report transport damage to the transport company w th n 48 hours.
Check that the voltage noted on the model label corresponds to the
ma ns voltage.
Depending on the model, the following parts can be found in the
miniCool :
Cleaning
Before operat ng the m n Cool, we recommend you clean t both ns de and
outs de.
Use a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a m ld detergent.
Follow ng th s, wash out the m n Cool us ng clean water and dry
thoroughly.
At annual ntervals, remove dust from fr dge aggregate us ng a brush or
soft cloth.

To prevent mater al damage:
Do not use soap or detergents wh ch are harsh, coarse or
wh ch conta n soda.
Keep the door seal free from o l and grease.
The cyl nder locks have been lubr cated n the factory to be long-last ng.

1. The refrigerator must be level both directions
2. There sould be 20mm clearance to the wall
3. Ventilation must be provided as shown in
alternatives A,B,C or D
4. The ventilation duct must at least measure
10 mm x the wtdth of the refrigerator
. Only the entire cooling unit must project into
the duct as shown
6 Air passing through the duct must not be
preheated by any source of heat
7. Ventilation grills, if used, must have openings
of at least 200cm² each
Please follow the installation details below
carefully. Guarantee is valid for products
installed as described only.
IMPORTANT:

Securing
EA 330
The m n Cool must be screwed onto the cupboard us ng the lower h nges.
Connecting the Device to the Electricity Supply
The dev ce must be connected to a properly earthed socket n l ne w th
the relevant val d country regulat ons.
Check pr or to n t al operat on that the voltage
noted on the model label corresponds to the
ma ns voltage.
If th s s not the case, do not connect the dev ce
and contact your dealer!
If the connect on cable s damaged t must be replaced by the
Customer Serv ce at Domet c, or by respect vely qual f ed personnel,
n order to prevent any hazards.
Attention: For GB Only !
Plug connect on (for Un ted K ngdom only)
If a 3-p n 13 amp fused plug s used, t should be f tted w th a 3 amp fuse;
w th other plug types, the c rcu t should conta n a 5 amp fuse.
Th s appl ance conforms w th the requ rements of EEC d rect ve No. 82/449
relat ng to rad o nterference.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
IMPORTANT

are coloured n accordance w th the follow ng
code:
GREEN and YELLOW : EARTH
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
As the colours of the w res n the ma ns lead
may not correspond w th the coloured mark ngs
dent fy ng the term nals n your plug, proceed as follows.
1. Connect the GREEN and YELLOW coloured w re to the plug term nal
marked letter Eor earth symbol or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. Connect the BROWN coloured w re to the plug term nal marked letter L
or coloured red.
3. Connect the BLUE coloured w re to the plug term nal marked letter Nor
coloured black.

Moulded-On Plug Version
The ma ns lead s f tted w th a non-rew rable moulded-on 13 amp plug con-
ta n ng a 3 amp fuse. If the fuse requ res replac ng at any t me, the fuse
cover/carr er should be removed us ng a small screwdr ver to level out. The
old fuse should be replaced by a 3 amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse and
the fuse cover/carr er must be ref tted before the plug s used aga n.
If the fuse cover-carr er s lost, a replaceement can be obta ned from the
Domet c serv ce Shops.
The fuse cover/carr er must be of the same colour as that of the coloured
nsert n the base of the plug. In no c rcumstances must the plug be used
w thout a correct fuse cover/carr er f tted.
If the plug suppl ed on the ma ns lead s not su table for the socket n your
home, t should be cut off and d sposed of safely, or destroyed, to avo d any
poss ble shock hazard result ng from the plug be ng nserted nto a 13 amp
socket elswhere n the use. A su table replacement plug should then be
f tted as g ven above.

Initial Operation
The dev ce must be plugged nto a properly
earthed socket.
The m n Cool ach eves ts operat ng
temperature after several hours.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Temperature Control
The m n Cool s f tted w th an electron c
temperature control. The thermostat
control button s s tuated n the nternal
conta ners rear area. (EA 355: the
thermostat button s s tuated n the
unrefr gerated compartment).
Automatic Defrost Function
The f rst defrost ng phase commences 15 hours after the n t al operat on
(5.1) and lasts for two hours.
After th s, the dev ce operates for 22 hours at a t me, followed by a
defrost ng per od of 2 hours .
The ce layer must never be removed us ng
force, nor must the defrost ng process ever
be accelerated us ng a heater.

Leakage Detection
Air sensor
The electron cs carr es out a leakage test after
every defrost ng per od ( every 24 hrs) by
measur ng the temperature at the evaporator
by means of a second sensor.
If a leakage s detected, the m n Cool s shut
off by the electron cs.

Automatic Door Control (ADC)
The follow ng descr pt ons only apply to dev ces w th ADC.
1. Open the m n Cool, check ts contents and - f appl cable- stock t up
aga n.
2. Close the m n Cool.
4. Remove ADC key.
Automatic Door Control (electric)
When the m n Cool s opened, a magnet cally operated approx mat on
sw tch located underneath on the fr dge s act vated (FIG 1.)
Depend ng on the connect on (open ng/clos ng mechan sm), an electr c
c rcu t s closed or opened. Accord ngly, th s s reg stered and processed at
the hotel recept on. Note: Electr cal rat ng!

Environmental Advice
m n Cools manufactured by Domet c GmbH are free from
CFC/HCFC and fluor nated hydrocarbons.
The cool ng un t uses ammon a as the coolant (a natural compound of
hydrogen and n trogen). Cyclopentane, wh ch does not damage the ozone
layer, s used as propellant for the nsulat on made from PU-foam.
Disposal
In order to ensure the re-use of recyclable packag ng mater als, these must
be d sposed of us ng local collect on systems. The dev ce tself must be
handed over to a d sposal company or local counc l wh ch w ll guarantee
the correct use of recyclable mater als and the proper d sposal of the rest.
Energy Saving Tips
At an average room temperature of approx. 22°C, t s suff c ent to
operate the m n Cool w th an average thermostat sett ng.
If poss ble, always store pre-cooled goods.
Do not expose the m n Cool to d rect sunl ght and do not place t close
to a source of heat.
An unobstructed a r c rculat on n the fr dge aggregate must be
ensured.
When remov ng goods, only open the m n Cool br efly.
