Introducon
TheSecurityLightincorporatesaPIR(PassiveInfraRed)sensingdevicewhichconnuouslyscansapreset
operangzoneandimmediatelyswitchesthelightonwhenitdetectsmovementinthatarea.
Thismeansthatwhenevermovementisdetectedwithintherangeofthesensor,thelightwillswitchon
automacallytoilluminatepathways,steps,paos,porches,orwhateverareayouhaveselectedtolightfor
reasonsofsafety,convenienceorsecurity.
Whilethereismovementwithinrangeoftheunitthelightwillremainon.
Fing your security lamp
• Ideally the security lamp should be mounted 1.8 to 2.5 metres
 (6to8)abovethegroundtobescanned.
• Toavoiddamagetounit-donotaimthesensortowardsthesun.
• Toavoidnuisancetriggering,thesensorshouldbedirected 
 awayfromheatsourcessuchasbarbecues,Air-condioners, 
 otheroutsidelighng,movingcarsanduevents.
• Toavoidnuisancetriggering,keepingawayfromtheareaof 
 strongelectromagnecdisturbance.
Detecon Area Setup
Donotaimtowardsreecvesurfacessuchassmoothwhitewalls,
swimmingpools,etc.Thesecuritylampscanningspecicaons
(approximately12metresat180°)mayvaryslightlydependingonthe
mounngheightandlocaon.Thedeteconrangeoftheunitmayalso
alterwithtemperaturechange.Beforeselecngaplacetoinstallyour
security lamp you should note that movement across the scan area is
moreeecvethanmovementdirectlytowardorawayfromthesensor.
Ifmovementismadewalkingdirectlytowardsorawayfromthesensor
andnotacross,theapparentdeteconrangewillbesubstanally
reduced.

Installaon
1. InstallaonbyalicensedelectricianandaccordingtoIECwiringRegulaon.
2. Switchpoweroatthemeterboxandensurethatthereisnopowertothelamp.
3. UnscrewtheFixingCoverScrewsthenremovethecover.
4. RemovetheCableAnchorageandTerminalBlock.
5. Usetheplascbackboxtomarktheposionofscrewholesontomounngsurface.Drillthewallto 
depthofabout4cmandtthewallplugs(supplied).Careshouldbetakentoavoiddrillingorscrewing
intoconcealedelectricalwiring.
6. ConnecngthePowerCabletotheTerminalBlock,ensurethecablemustpenetratethrough  
theCableGasket.
7. AxthebackboxtothemounngsurfacewithMounngWallScrews(supplied).
8. Re-ttheTerminalBlockandCableAnchorage.
9. Re-tthecover.

• Pleaseswitchthepoweroandletthelampcoolbeforetouchingthelamp(s).
• Whenadjusnglampholders,ensurethatlampsarenottouchingorincloseproximitytosensorhead 
 (morethan40mm),heatfromthelamp(s)maydistortthePIRSensorordestroytheplascencloserofPIR
 Sensor.
• Loosenlocknutsandscrewsonsensorandlampbeforemakinganyadjustments.
• Do NOTaempttoopenthefasciaofthespotlight,asthiswillvoidwarranty.
Notes for electrician
The security lamp should be wired to its own light switch.
Do not interconnect with other lights on the same switch.
Earth connecon must be required.
Understanding the controls
Adjusng the duraon me:Thelengthofmethatremains
switchedonaeracvaoncanbeadjustedfrom(10±5)seconds
to(4±1)minutes.RotangtheTIMEknob+to-willreducethe
duraonme.
Note:OncethelighthasbeentriggeredbythePIRsensorany
subsequentdeteconwillstartthemedperiodagainfromthe
beginning.
Adjusng the LUX control level:TheLuxcontrolmodulehasa
builtinsensingdevice(photocell)thatdetectsdaylightand
darkness.The()posiondenotesthattheoodlightcanworkat
dayandnight,andthe()posiononlyworkatnight.Youcansetto
operatetheunitatthedesiredlevelbyadjusngtheLUXknob.
Adjusng the sensivity:ThesensivitymeanstheMaximum
distancewhichPIRSensorcanbetriggeredbymovementbody.
TurningtheSENSknob+to-willdecreasethesensivity.
Seng the controls
1. PuttheLuxcontrolknobtolight()posion,turnthewallswitchonandwaithalfaminuteforthecontrol
circuittostabilise.AtthisstageensurethattheTIMEcontrolknobissetatminimumduraon.Thesecurity
lampwillnowswitchonandremainonforabout30seconds(within60seconds).
2. Directthesensortowardthedesiredareatobescannedbyadjusngtheelbowjointandswiveljointon
the sensor arm.
Important:loosenalllocknutsandscrewsonsensorandlampbeforemakinganyadjustments.
3. Haveanotherpersonmoveacrossthecentreoftheareatobescannedandslowlyadjusttheangleofthe
sensorarmunltheunitsensorsthepresenceofthemovingperson,causingthelighttoswitchon.
4. Adjustmecontroltorequiredseng.
5. Tosetthelightlevelatwhichthelightswillautomacallyswitch“on”atnight,turntheLUXcontrolknob
fromdaylighttonight.Ifthelampsarerequiredtoswitchonearlier,e.g.Dusk,waitforthedesiredlight
level,thenslowlyturntheLUXcontrolknobtowardsdaylightwhilesomeonewalksacrossthecentreofthe
areatobedetected.Whentheoodlightsswitchon,releasetheLUXcontrolknob.Youmayneedtomake
furtheradjustmentstoachieveyourideallightlevelseng.

How to change into MANUAL OVERRIDE CONTROL MODE
1. Whenpowerison,thePIRdetectorentersintothe“WARM-UP”periodsforabout1minute,then
automacallychangesintoAUTOMODE.
2. DuringAUTOMODE,byswitchingtheON/OFFmainswitchtwicewithin3seconds,andthenswitchingit
onagain,thePIRdetectorwillautomacallychangeintoMANUALMODEfromAUTOMODE.InMANUAL
MODE,theLamp(s)willremainON,notaectedbyduraonmeandLuxcontrollevel.
3. DuringMANUALMODEorAUTOMODE,byswitchingotheON/OFFmainswitchforover6secondsand
thenonagain,thePIRdetectorwillresettoWARM-UPperiods.Pleasenote:theperiodsof“WARM-UP”
maybe shorter than 1 minute.
