Operation
Note! Please remember to record your outgoing message.
Making a call
Ordinary dialling
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Enter the desired number.
Redial
If a number was engaged or if you wish to redial the most recently
entered number, pick up the handset and press the redial button .
Memories
This telephone has 3 speed dial memories.
Once a number has been saved in a memory location, you only
need to press one button to make the call. A picture or symbol can
be placed under the transparent cover over the speed dial buttons
so it is easy to remember to whom the speed dial number belongs.
Dialling with speed dial
1. Pick up the handset and wait for the dialling tone.
2. Select the desired speed dial number by pressing the
corresponding button.
Volume control
The handset volume may be adjusted during a call with the rotary
control .
Hearing loop
The handset has a built-in hearing loop for those who wish to use
their hearing aids while using the telephone. Select the T mode
on your hearing aid to enable this feature.

Operation of Answer Machine
The answer machine must be switched on in order to be able to
receive messages. Turn the answer machine on/off by pressing
!under the cover. -- is shown if the answer machine is
switched off, otherwise the number of messages is shown. If no
outgoing message has been recorded, the display will change
between 00 and --. In the ON position, incoming calls will be
answered by the answer machine if you miss a call, and in the
OFF position no calls will be answered.
When the phone rings, calls will be answered after the set
number of ring signals (see Answer Machine Settings).
When the answer machine answers an incoming call, the caller
will hear your outgoing message. The caller will then hear a short
beep, and can leave a message of up to 2 minutes.
The memory will store approximately 15 minutes of incoming
messages (including the outgoing message).
Playback of messages
Playback will always begin with new messages. If for instance
there are three old messages and two new ones, only the two
new ones will be played back, then the answer machine will
return to standby mode. Press the playback button once again to
listen to all messages, starting with the oldest message.

again to continue.

Delete messages
If you want to delete a single message, press Cduring playback.
Deletion of all messages simultaneously is only possible after playback:
Press and hold Cuntil you hear a long beep.
Please note that new messages cannot be deleted until they have
been played.
Screening
Incoming messages will be heard from the machine’s
loudspeaker as they are received. If there is no sound adjust the
volume with +/-.
You can also lift the receiver and speak directly to the caller. If the
recording is not interrupted automatically, press !on the answer
machine, or press * on the telephone you are using to answer.
Remote activation
The answer machine can be activated using the remote access
functions by calling your own home phone number and following
these instructions.
1. Call your own number, after approximately 10 rings, the
machine will answer with a long tone.
2. Enter the remote code, see below. If the code is correct you will
hear two short beeps.

Remote access
This machine can be remotely accessed using the keys of an
ordinary tone dialling telephone. To use remote access, call the
answer machine by dialing home and enter the remote code
while the outgoing message is being played. If the code is correct
several remote access commands are available.
Remote Code
A three digit remote code is needed to access the remote access
functions of the answer machine. The remote code is printed
underneath the machine.

At the end of the manual these remote access commands are
available in credit card size format to cut out.
Please note!
If the machine doesn’t respond to the remote access commands,
try pressing the telephone buttons for a longer or shorter time.
In normal cases, the answer machine should react to tones
approximately 0.5 – 1 seconds in length, but longer tones may be
necessary with certain telephone networks.
If you do not enter any remote access command, the answer
machine will disconnect after a few seconds.
If you listen to messages for longer than 2 minutes and 40
seconds, you will hear a tone. Press any key to continue.

Voice control
The answer machine will record the message as long as the
caller keeps speaking (max. 120 seconds). When the caller
stops speaking, the answer machine will disconnect after a few
seconds.
Out of memory
The total capacity of the answer machine’s memory is
approximately 15 minutes including outgoing and incoming
messages. This memory space is shared by the outgoing
message and the regular incoming ones. If the memory is full, no
new messages will be accepted until the existing messages have
been played and deleted.
When the memory is full, the display shows FL, and the answer
machine will answer after 10 rings to allow remote playback and
deletion of messages.
Power cuts
This answer machine uses a type of memory that will not be
deleted in the event of a power cut or if the power is disconnected
when you want to move the answer machine. The power supply
must be connected in order for the answer machine to be able to
receive new messages.

Settings
Connection
1. Connect the telephone cord to a network wall socket and to the
Tsocket on the back of the telephone.
2. Connect the mains adapter to the mains power socket and to
the Ysocket on the back of the telephone.
3. Connect the spiral cord to the handset and to the qsocket
on the telephone’s left side.
4. You will hear a click when the modular plug is correctly in
place.
5. Set correct Flash time to 100 (see Technical Information).
6. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
Ring signal
There is a ring signal volume switch on the right side of the
telephone.
Memories
Saving speed dial numbers
1. Make sure that the R/Pswitch on the back of the telephone
is set to P.
2. Lift the handset and press P(R) (do not wait for the dialling
tone).
3. Enter the phone number (up to 16 digits) using the keypad.
Press P(R).
4. Select the memory position by pressing the corresponding
button.
5. Replace the handset. The number has now been saved.
Remember to return the R/Pswitch on the back of the
telephone to the Rposition when all the telephone numbers have
been saved.
Press if you want a pause in the telephone number.

Answer Machine Settings
Outgoing message
The outgoing message is your message that plays when there is
an incoming call.
The message could for example tell the caller that he or she may
start talking after the beep, which will be heard following your
outgoing message.
An example of an outgoing message:
-“Hello and welcome to the Andersons. We can’t get to the phone
right now, but please leave a message at the sound of the beep,
and we’ll return your call as soon as possible. Thanks for calling.”
Recording an Outgoing Message
1. Press and hold down 88 (under the cover). You will hear a

2. Record the outgoing message. Speak clearly into the top of the
machine from a distance of about 15-20 cm.
3. Release 88 to stop recording.
4. The message will be repeated after a few seconds. Repeat
the same procedure if you want to change the message. Any
previous outgoing message will be automatically erased when
a new one is recorded.
Checking the Outgoing Message
88. The outgoing message will be played.
Number of ring signals
Use the 2/6/TS switch on the right side of the machine to set how
and when the answer machine will answer incoming calls.
2 = calls are answered after two rings.
6 = calls are answered after six rings.
TS = activates the toll save function.
The Toll Save function answers calls after six ring signals, until

machine switches to answering after approximately two signals.
This is useful when using remote access: if there is no answer
after three rings there have been no messages recorded and you
can hang up before you are charged for the call. If however the
machine does answer after two rings, there are new messages.

Technical Information
On the right side of the telephone there is a switch for Flash time.
Flash time (100/300/600).
100 is the standard setting for most countries including the UK.
Troubleshooting
Check that the telephone cord is undamaged and properly
plugged in. Disconnect any additional equipment, extension cords
and other phones. If the problem is resolved, the fault is with
some other equipment. Test the equipment on a known working
line (e.g. at a neighbour’s house). If the equipment works there
then the fault is probably with your telephone line. Please report
this to your network operator.
The answer machine is not answering
- Check that the unit is switched on.
- Check that the telephone cable and the mains adapter are
correctly connected.
The answer machine does not respond to remote access
- Check that the telephone you are using to remotely access the
answer machine is a tone dialling telephone.
- Some telephones only emit a short tone beep when buttons
are pressed, and this may not be enough to activate remote
access. Use a separate tone transmitter in these cases.
- Also try holding the buttons down longer, approximately 1
second per digit.
I can’t hear the outgoing message very well
- Record a new outgoing message.
- Speak closer to the microphone when recording. The microphone
is located under the handset on the front of the telephone.
The line is disconnected when someone leaves a message:
- An incoming message may be up to 120 seconds in length.
After this time, the call will be disconnected.
- If the caller pauses approximately 7 seconds or more, the call
may be terminated, since the voice control function believes
that the caller has hung up.
I only hear a tone sequence when I press the playback button:
- There are no incoming messages.There are no incoming messages.
If the device still does not work, please contact the place of

Återuppringning
Om det var upptaget på ett telefonnummer eller om det senast
slagna telefonnumret önskas ringas upp igen, lyft luren och tryck
på återuppringningsknappen .
Minnen
Telefonen har 3 snabbvalsminnen.
När ett telefonnummer är lagrat i något av dessa kan uppringning
ske med endast en knapptryckning. Under det genomskinliga
locket på snabbvalsknapparna kan det läggas en bild eller symbol
så att man enkelt kan se till vem snabbvalen går.
Uppringning med snabbval
1. Lyft luren och invänta kopplingston.
2. Välj önskat snabbval genom att trycka på motsvarande knapp.
Volymkontroll
Ljudstyrkan i luren kan under samtal justeras med .
Hörslinga
Luren har en inbyggd hörslinga för de som vill använda sin
hörapparat när de telefonerar. Koppla in hörapparatens telespole
genom att ställa hörapparaten i T-läge.

Handhavande telefonsvarare
För att telefonsvararen skall kunna ta emot samtal måste den
vara påslagen. Slå av/på telefonsvararen genom att trycka !
under luckan. -- visas om telefonsvararen är avstängd, annars
visas antalet meddelande. Om inget utgående svarsmeddelande
blivit inspelat kommer 00 och -- visas växelvis. I läge PÅ
kommer inkommande samtal att besvaras av telefonsvararen, och
i läge AV kommer inga samtal att besvaras.
När det ringer kommer samtalen att besvaras efter det antal
ringsignaler som är inställt (se Inställningar telefonsvarare).
När telefonsvararen besvarar ett inkommande samtal hör den
uppringande ditt utgående svarsmeddelande, därefter hörs en
kort ton och den uppringande kan lämna ett meddelande som
kan vara upp till 120 sekunder långt.
Totalt rymmer minnet ca 15 minuter inkommande meddelanden
(inklusive utgående svar).
Uppspelning av meddelanden
Uppspelningen startar alltid med nya, ännu ej avlyssnade,

två nya, kommer bara de två nya att spelas upp, därefter återgår
svararen till viloläge. Starta uppspelningen en gång till för att spela
upp alla meddelanden, med start från det äldsta meddelandet.
1. Tryck 9/för att starta uppspelningen.
2. Efter uppspelning hörs två korta toner och svararen återgår
till viloläge. Alla meddelanden sparas (såvida du inte raderat
något under uppspelning, se nedan) och nya meddelanden
kommer att spelas in efter de gamla.

Knapp Funktion
8 8 Repetera eller håll nedtryckt till ett pip hörs, för att
hoppa bakåt till föregående meddelande (under luckan).

Radera meddelanden
För att radera ett enskilt meddelande tryck Cunder uppspelning.
Radering av alla meddelanden samtidigt kan bara ske efter
uppspelning:
Håll Cintryckt tills ett långt pip hörs.
Observera att nya meddelande inte kan raderas förrän de har
spelats upp.
Medhörning
Medhörningsfunktionen gör att de som ringer och lämnar
meddelande hörs i apparatens högtalare. Om det inte hörs något
i högtalaren kontrollera att volymen är uppskruvad med +/-.
Om du vill kan du lyfta luren och tala med den uppringande. Om
inte inspelningen avbryts automatiskt, tryck !på telefonsvararen
eller tryck *på telefonen du svarar i.
Fjärrstyrd påslagning
Svararen kan aktiveras med hjälp av fjärrstyrningsfunktionerna.
1. Ring upp telefonsvararen. Den svarar efter cirka 10 ringsignaler
med en lång ton.
2. Tryck sekretesskoden, se nedan. Om koden var rätt hörs två
korta pip.
3. Tryck 9#. Två pip bekräftar att telefonsvararen är påslagen.
Lägg på luren.
Fjärrstyrning
Denna modell kan fjärrstyras med hjälp av knappsatsen
på en vanlig tonvalstelefon. Fjärrstyrning utförs genom att
telefonsvararen rings upp och en sekretesskod trycks under tiden
det utgående svaret spelas upp. Om koden är rätt kan ett antal
fjärrstyrningskommandon utföras.
Sekretesskod
För att få tillgång till telefonsvararens fjärrstyrningsfunktioner
behövs en tresiffrig sekretesskod. Sekretesskoden står tryckt på
apparatens undersida.

Observera!
Om svararen inte reagerar på fjärrstyrningstonerna, prova att hålla
ned knapparna på telefonen olika länge. Normalt skall svararen
reagera på toner som är cirka 0.5 - 1 sekund långa, men på grund
av telelinjen m.m, kan det krävas längre toner.
Om du inte trycker något fjärrstyrningskommando, kommer
svararen att koppla ned linjen efter några sekunder.
Om avlyssningen pågår mer än 2 minuter och 40 sekunder

Röststyrning
Telefonsvararen spelar in ett meddelande så länge den
uppringande talar (dock max 120 sekunder). När den
uppringande slutat tala kommer telefonsvararen att koppla ned
linjen efter några sekunder.
Om minnet tar slut
Telefonsvararens totala minneskapacitet är cirka 15 minuter.
Minnet delas av det utgående svaret och vanliga inkommande
meddelanden. Om minnet tar slut kan inga nya meddelanden tas
emot innan de gamla har spelats upp och raderats.
När minnet är fullt visar displayen FL och telefonsvararen svarar
efter cirka 10 ringsignaler för att fjärrstyrd uppspelning och
radering skall kunna ske.
Vid strömavbrott
Denna telefonsvarare använder en typ av minne som inte raderas
vid strömavbrott eller om strömadaptern tas ut då man önskar

nya samtal måste alltid strömadaptern vara inkopplad.

Inkoppling
1. Anslut telesladden till ett telejack och till uttaget Tpå
telefonens baksida.
2. Anslut nätadaptern till eluttaget samt till uttaget Ypå
telefonens baksida.
3. Anslut spiralsladden till luren och till uttaget qpå telefonens
vänstersida.
4. Ett klickljud hörs när modularkontakten kommit på plats.
5. Ställ in rätt R-knappstid till 100 (se Teknisk Information).
6. Lyft luren och kontrollera att kopplingston hörs.
Ringsignal

Lagra snabbval
1. Se till att omkopplaren R/Ppå telefonens baksida står i läge
P.
2. Lyft luren och tryck P(R) (bry dig inte om kopplingstonen).
3. Slå telefonnumret (max 16 siffror) med siffertangenterna. Tryck
P(R).
4. Välj snabbval genom att trycka på motsvarande knapp.
5. Lägg på luren. Numret är lagrat.
Tänk på att återställa omkopplaren R/Ppå telefonens baksida
till läge Rnär samtliga önskade telefonnummer är lagrade.
Om en paus önskas i telefonnumret tryck .

Inställningar telefonsvarare
Utgående svar
Det utgående svaret är ditt meddelande som spelas upp för
inkommande samtal.
Tala gärna om i svaret att den uppringande kan börja tala efter
pipet som hörs efter ditt svarsmeddelande.
Exempel på svarsmeddelande:
-”Hej och välkommen till familjen Andersson. Vi är inte hemma för
tillfället, men lämna ett meddelande efter pipet så ringer vi upp
när vi kommer hem. Tack för samtalet.”
Inspelning av svar
1. Tryck och håll 88 nedtryckt (under luckan). Ett kort pip hörs
och displayen blinkar.
2. Tala in det utgående svarsmeddelandet. Tala tydligt och cirka
15-20 cm från apparatens ovansida.
3. Släpp 8 8 för att avsluta inspelningen.
4. Meddelandet repeteras efter några sekunder. Upprepa
proceduren om du vill ändra svaret. Det gamla svaret raderas
automatiskt när ett nytt spelas in.
Kontrollavlyssning av svar
Tryck kort och släpp 8 8 . Svarsmeddelandet spelas upp.
Antal ringsignaler
Med omkopplaren 2/6/TS på apparatens högersida ställer du in
hur och när svararen ska besvara inkommande samtal.
2 = samtal besvaras efter två ringsignaler.
6 = samtal besvaras efter sex ringsignaler.
TS = detta läge aktiverar den s.k. Sparsignalfunktionen.
Sparsignalfunktionen innebär att samtalen besvaras efter sex
ringsignaler tills något nytt meddelande registrerats, därefter
övergår svararen till att svara efter cirka två signaler. Denna

det inte några meddelanden att lyssna av och luren kan läggas
