Electrical Installation
The following procedures apply TSA 160 Gr. 2-5 and TSA 160/162 Gr. 2-5 with
intermediate cover assembly(on TSA 160/162 Gr. 2-5without intermediate cover
assembly these procedures must be carried out on each drive):
-Unscrew side plate (7) by removing the flat fillister head screws (fig. 9).
-Run control unit cables as in cable diagram and connect as in wiring
diagram.
Surface installation: Remove the required recesses (9) on side plate.
Concealed installation: Run wire through recess into ground plate.
Connecting to mains: Important! Before connecting to mains, ensure that data
on identification plate agrees with mains voltage and mains frequency, and that a
fuse (11) is drawn. Run the mains cable into casing and connect. Screw side
plate (7) back on (fig. 9). The mains switch must be switched off and safeguard
against switching on in error.
Pre-adjustment:
1. Switching off: Open door by hand to desired opening angle or external
stop and keep in position with wedge. After loosening the central screw
(fig. 15), adjust the blue cam so that it audibly actuates the attached
microswitch (fig. 14). Motor switch to “AUS”. Retighten central screw.
Factory setting 90
o
door opening angle.
2. Permanently open: Switch on “AUS” (only TSA 160 Gr. 2-5) (fig. 16).
Clear the door swing area and insert fuse. Switch on permanently open
switch. On twin leaf units TSA 160/162 GR. 2-5 the passive leaf with TSA
162 Gr. 2-5 opens with 1.5 secs. delay compared with active leaf with TSA
160 Gr. 2-5 (actuation delay).
2.1 Closing moment: The closing moment is adjusted in the factory to a
medium setting. It can be changed in accordance with construction and
local demands. (Pos. 27, diagram A).
Anti-clockwise = smaller. Clockwise = larger.
3. Speed adjustments (fig. 17):
•Door opened
- Closing speed Adjusting screw SG
- Closing damping Adjusting screw SD
•Programming switch at AUS
•Optimise closing with SG and SD
- Opening speed Adjusting screw OG
- Opening damping Adjusting screw OD
•Programming switch at Permanently Open
•Optimising opening with OG and OD
- Latching speed Adjusting screw SE
•SE adjustment must not result in leaf opening with delay
Clockwise = reduction in speed
Anti-clockwise = increase in speed
Important! Do not turn the brass thread collars when setting the adjustment
screw. With twin-leaf units TSA 160/162 Gr. 2-5 the integrated electrical closing
sequence means that the active leaf with TSA 160 Gr. 2-5 begins to close after
the passive leaf with TSA 162 GR. 2-5. The speeds must be adjusted so that the
passive leaf is closed first.
4. Safety sensor: With all twin-leaf units TSA 160/162 Gr. 205 the sensors to
ensure the order of closing must be connected to the corresponding drives
as shown on the wiring diagram. When a sensor is actuated both leafs stop
moving. On release the closing sequence operates again. Active range
limited to angle “a” for each leaf (fig. 18).
To fade out parts of building e.g. wall, the yellow switch cam must be
adjusted (fig. 19).
-Open door by hand until sensor indicates wall through red LED
-Push door back until LED goes out. Keep in place with wedge
-Loosen 3 stud bolts (fig. 21)
-Adjust yellow switch cam in opening direction so that attached microswitch
audibly operates (fig. 20)
-Check by operating door control.

5.
Hold
-
open time;
Both ranges 0-12 secs. and 10-60 secs. for the
hold-open time are pre-selected using jumper plugs (fig. 25). Within
the selected range the hold-open time is set with a potentiometer
(fig. 22).
6. Actuation delay: On TSA 162 Gr. 2-5 the actuation delay 0-5
secs. (important on twin-leaf doors) is adjusted with the
potentiometer (13), (fig. 22 and fig. 25).
Clockwise = longer actuation delay.
The actuation delay on TSA 162 Gr. 2-5 is fixed at 1.5 secs. and
always acts in addition to the set actuation delay of the TSA 160 Gr.
2-5.
If the actuation delay is not effective when the unclosed doors are
controlled again, a door contact switch must be installed on both the
passive and the active leaf.
Connect X1 TSA 160 Gr. 205 to X2 TSA 162 Gr. 2-5 (fig. 25/1).
After setting and testing all control elements, earth the
cover (fig. 26). Press earthing wire (22) onto earthing lug
(23) in hood (1), and close housing. (Also see diagram 70
423/9-9871.)
Programme switch to automatic.
The system is now operational.
Periodic monitoring, maintenance
The operator must maintain the system in correct operational condition. At least once a year or when the need
arises a safety check and maintenance service must be carried out by a specialist. If used and operated in the
Federal Republic of Germany, the guidelines regarding power-operated windows, doors and gates published by the
Hauptverband der gewerblichen Genossenschaften (Confederation of Industrial and Professional Associations) in
53757 Sankt Augustin are to be followed. If used outside the Federal Republic of Germany, the user must follow
the regulations of the country concerned. All repairs and maintenance must be recorded on report forms.
In order to ensure trouble-free operation, we recommend a maintenance contract whereby the system is maintained by our
customer service. The following work is carried out regularly:
-Checking and if necessary optimising the hydraulic and electrical operations.
-Checking mounting of control systems and adjustment and operation.
-Preventative maintenance of external units: if necessary adjust, check operation and clean.
-Safety check of the whole system.
Repairs
Repairs only to be carried out by DORTEK or their approved installers.

COMMISSIONING GUIDE – TSA 160
This guide must be used in conjunction with the installation instruction manual supplied.
Once the drive unit and arm have been fitted in accordance with the instructions, the following steps should be
carried out:- (Tick box after completion of each step)
Site ………………………………….
Doorset reference ………………………………….
Date ………………………………….
Connect all ancillary devices as per wiring schematic. Pay special attention to links.
Connect mains power to drive unit. (Do not switch power on at this stage.)
Adjust spring tension to suit application using 9mm spanner.
Push door open manually and adjust closing speed control valves 1, 2 & 3 to required setting as per manual
page 3 item 3.
Adjust blue motor cut-off cam to activate limit switch at approximately 85°.
Adjust valves 4 & 5 to give a reasonable resistance to door opening (this ensures that when powered up for
the first time it will not strike flank wall).
Switch selector to OFF position (2).
Switch mains power on. (Leave selector switch in (O) position at this stage.)
Push door open until opening face safety detects the flanking wall.
Allow door to close until opening face sensor no longer detects the flanking wall. If sensor detects wall too
early, check the PCB is inserted in the profile to angle the beam closest to door face.
Prop door at this position and adjust yellow cam to activate limit switch.
Allow door to close fully.
Adjust closing face sensor detection height by adjusted knurled brass screw.
Select the AUTOMATIC position (II).
Adjust the detection height of the closing face sensor. The door should open when the sensor is activated
(the internal relay will be heard to click).
Adjust torque value with 4mm Allen key if needed to achieve 90° position (DO NOT TURN MORE THAN
90°).
Re-adjust speed control valves and blue motor cut-off cam to achieve correct open angle.
Adjust hold open timer potentiometer. (Consult client for appropriate time.)
Test safety sensor by standing within the swing area of the door and activate.
Does opening face sensor stop door from opening?
Does closing face sensor re-open a closing door?
Check sensing height of the door mounted sensors. Adjust knurled brass screw.
Adjust activation devices to suit site conditions.
Switch selector to OFF position (O).
Connect earthing tag from cover to base profile of drive unit and clip cover on.
Test complete installation by simulating persons using the automatic entrance.
The above system is install to BS 7036 part3 limited safety for trained personal /area parts 8,2,2 and 8,3
In order to prevent excess wear and tear to both drive unit and door construction, the opening and closing
speeds should be kept to a minimum. If any problems occur please refer to the fault-finding sheet.
