Power On
The screen displays the print message list as below. Press and to move cursor up and
down.
press to confirm the message selection, enter to main page for next step Print, or
press escapes to main age without change.

Press and to change the condition
Press and hold on the and to adjust number up or down
2-1 Encoder.
The encoder is recommended under the condition of the conveyor moving speed is unconstant,
or the conveyor speed has to changed manually and frequently.
Please Note: If the conveyor speed is not constant and the encoder is not installed, printing will
be distorted, or not uniform, please see example bellow.

If there is no encoder installed with the printer system, set at NO, or causes the printer can’t print.
2-2 Print Speed.
The print speed setting directly relates to the conveyor moving speed, i.e the distance moved
per second in millimeters ( mm/sec).
2-3 Print Delay
Measure the distance (mm) between the print head and the photocell.
2-4 Direction
Setting for the printed products moving direction passing in front of the print head.

2-5 Continue Count
Set this to allocate how many prints are repeated. For example, the number is set at 005,
now the print will repeat 5 times after the photocell has sensed the product.
Please see this example below
*. If the value of ‘Continue Count’ is set at 000. the print head will print once only when the
photocell senses the product*
2-6 Continue Interval
If ‘Continue Interval’ is set at 0050mm, the print head will repeat print every 50mm

2-7. 600DPI
Enable this setting will arise the print resolution to 600dpi, the printer default resolution is
300dpi.
2-8 Font Selection
There are two character fonts allow to selecte for the print. The character fonts can choose in
the PC software DotW_One, and download to the DJ1 via USB disk. Please refer to chapter
Appendix A below on page 15.

3-1. System setup
a. Enable spitting
This setting must integrate with Spit Count and Spit Interval below items, It is set in case the
photocell has not sensed product for a while. To ensure the nozzle is clear for printing
before a product is again sensed. When enabled, the print head will auto-spit during the
print head break regular printing.
b. Spitting Interval
Setting the break time (How many seconds) to do a spitting. It can be set from 000 – 999
seconds per interval.

c. Spitting Count
To avoid poor quality prints after a long time break in printing ( ink can dry out in the nozzle),
use “spit”. “Spit Count” is set for the print head nozzle to auto-spit a certain ink droplets
during the print break. It can be set from 000 – 999 droplets(Lines) per spitting.
d. Nozzle
There are two nozzles on the cartridge. Select right or left nozzle enabled to auto spit.
3-2. Data Download
Print message is created and edited on a PC software DotW_One. Saving the message
files in an USB stick. Then plug the USB stick into DJ1 printer controller’s USB Port,
select Download Data and press . The DJ1 printer controller will download the
print messages from the USB stick automatically. Refer to the DotW_One operation
manual for print message creation.

3-3. Data Upload
Back-up print messages and parameters. Plug an USB stick into the DJ1 printer
controller’s USB port, and press . All messages and parameters will upload to
the USB stick automatically. These backed up messages can be re-edit by DotW_One
software. Refer to the DotW_One operation manual for print message edit.
3-4. Modify Counter:
The counters re-setup including the ones in the appendant messages. If there are no
message appended, the item Append Msg is showing “ 0 “.
a. All Counter Reset
Select “Yes”, all the counters including in the appendant message will to be reset.

b. Append Msg
Selecting which appendant message( 1st, 2nd or 3rd ) needs to re-setup the counter, “0”
represents there is no appendant counter in this print message.
c. Counter1
Pressing and to adjust the counter number of the 1st appendant message, the
counter number is about to print.
d. Repeat1
Pressing and to adjust the repeat time of the 1st appendant message counter is
about to do.
e. Counter2
Pressing and to adjust the counter number of the 2nd appendant message, the
counter number is about to print.
f. Repeat2
Pressing and to adjust the repeat time of the 2nd appendant message counter
is about to do.

3-6. Nozzle Checking
Press , the print head performs a self test to check the conditions of the ink
cartridge orifices. (Printing quality checking). Move a paper card over the nozzle. An even,
clear pattern should be seen.
Press any key to stop print.

Pressing and to move cursor up and down. Pressing and for
numbers adjustment. Pressing once, all the setup done.

Appendix A : Download new character font into the DJ1 printer.
1. Click the button for selecting a character fonts by ComeboBox.

2. Plug an USB stick into the PC. Click the button . The character fonts file DJ1.fnt is
exporting to the USB stick.
※ Plug the USB stick in DJ1 printer. Operating the DJ1 to select the item Download Data which is
under System Setup, then the DJ1 is checking the file DJ1.fnt existed in the USB stick and
download it automatically. Please note, if you just need download the character fonts into the DJ1
printer, delete the message file-DJ1.msg in the USB stick, or the DJ1’s print message and
parameters will be updated by the new files downloaded along with the character fonts ※
