TTSeriesinstrumentsareintendedformeasurementoflowdifferentialairpressureinandaround
commercialandindustrialairhandlingsystems,andforusewithaPitotStaticTube.
Theinstrumentsarenotsuitableforliquidpressuremeasurement,andmustnotbeusedwith
corrosive,toxicorotherwisehazardousgases.
Theinstrumentsarenotclassified“Flameproof”or“IntrinsicallySafe”andconsequentlymustnotbe
usedwhereanexplosionhazardmayexistandarenotauthorisedforLifeSupportapplications.
Duringnormaloperationsmallquantitiesofair(typicallylessthan0.1ml/min)maypassintooroutof
thesystemundertest:itistheuser’sresponsibilitytoconsidertheconsequencesofsuchleakage
beforedeterminingthesuitabilityoftheinstrumentforanyparticularpurpose.
Theinstrumentmustbeturnedoffbeforeitisstoredortransportedandifitistobestoredforalong
periodoftimeoristobetransportedbyair,thebatterymustberemoved.
Thereisa12‐monthguaranteeonallmanufacturedparts.
Thisguaranteedoesnotcoveranyconsumables,and/orwearandtearduringnormalorabnormaluse.
Theguaranteebecomesnullandvoidiftheinstrumentspartshavebeentamperedwith,misused,
abusedorusedoutsidetheparameterssetoutinthemanual.
Themanufacturerwilldetermineiftheinstrumentisrepairableorrequiresreplacement;chargesmay

Theinstrumentcontainsaminiaturesolenoidvalve,whichisolatesthepressuresensors
duringautozero.Thevalveemitstwoclearlyaudibleclicks,whichsignalthestartandendof
theautozeroprocess.
BatteryLow:
Thebatteryconditionismonitoredeverytimetheinstrumentautozeroes.
Whenthe‘batterylow’warningappears,thebatterymustbereplacedimmediately,
otherwisethereadingsobtainedwillbeunreliable.
Ifatanytimethereadingsseemsuspect,checktheconditionofthebatterybyzeroingthe
instrumentmanuallyusingZERO.
Ifindoubtreplacethebattery.Forrechargeableinstrumentschargetheinternalbattery
withthechargersupplied.
Units:
Theunitofmeasurementisshownontherighthandsideofthedisplay.
Beinganautoranginginstrument,thecorrectresolutionandthedecimalpointwillbe
displayedaccordingtothepressurebeingapplied.
FASTSLOW:
Somepressurisedcircuitsexhibitpressureandvelocityfluctuations,whichcanbe
disconcerting;ifunacceptablefluctuationsoccur,pressFASTSLOWandverifythattheslow
indicationisdisplayedonthescreen.
