Procedure for Periodic Manufacturer's Service
1. A PMS Checklist Incubator 8000 IC form, available from the Dräger Medical, Inc.
Technical Service Department, shall be completed by the Technical Service
Representative each time a PMS is performed.
2. Caution: Service, Inspection and Calibration are to be performed by Dräger trained
and authorized Service Personnel only!
3. Note: Test Equipment for this procedure is listed in the document "Test equipment
for CCS devices". DO NOT USE any test equipment having an expired calibration
date.

4. Warning: During Service and Inspection some systems may be disconnected.
Ensure these systems are reconnected, test equipment is removed and all covers
are replaced after testing!
5. Perform Periodic Manufacturer's Service according to the document "Test
Certificate Incubator 8000 IC" except for test items 5 through 5.2 "Safety Checks"
(Electrical safety test according to VDE 0751) and test items 7 through 7.1.11:
Please note for test item 6.7.7: As of software version 21.n the skin temperature
deviation alarm is set to 1.0 °C (USA and Canada only).

6. Perform electrical safety test according to the following Instructions
"Incubator 8000 IC/SC/NC, Electrical Safety Test in the USA and Canada":
With Biotek Model 501
With DNI Nevada Model µ-Test 2000
If necessary record the measured values additional to the PMS Checklist in the
following form:

7. Important information for US and Canadian units: As of software version 21.n the
skin temperature deviation alarm is set to 1.0 °C (USA and Canada only).

8. Completely fill in the header information of the document PMS Checklist
Incubator 8000 IC.
9. If the Incubator 8000 IC passed all tests in the Test Certificate Incubator 8000 IC
and the electrical safety test, fill out the PM CERTIFICATION label (P/N S010006
with "Call 1-800-543-5047 for service" / P/N S010007 w/o service number). Check
box "Certified" and write the month and year, (six month from date of PM
Certification) next to "NEXT VISIT DUE".
Any Incubator 8000 IC not receiving a PM CERTIFICATION label shall receive a
WARNING NOT CERTIFIED label (P/N 4114857). This label shall be placed at a
prominent location after the previous PM CERTIFICATION label has been removed.
10.Have the Customer sign each PMS Checklist form and review the equipment
conditions with the Customer.
11.Return the top copy to Dräger Medical, Inc Service Department, keep the middle
copy for service organization records, and give bottom copy to customer.
12.Place unit at the user's disposal ready for operation.
