GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MACHINE TOOLS

( ings, w istwatches) to catch in moving pa ts. NON SLIP
footwea is ecommended. Wea p otective hai
cove ing to contain long hai . Roll long sleeves above
the elbow.
11. USE SAFETY GOGGLES (Head Protection)
Wea safety goggles (must comply with BS 2092) at all
times. No mal spectacles only have impact esistant
lenses, they a e NOT safety glasses. Also, use face o
dust mask if cutting ope ation is dusty and ea p otecto s
(plugs o muffs) du ing extended pe iods of ope ation.
12. DO NOT OVERREACH
Keep p ope footing and balance at all times.
13. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE
Keep tools sha p and clean fo best and safest
pe fo mance. Follow inst uctions fo lub icating and
changing accesso ies.
14. DISCONNECT POWER TO THE TOOLS
Befo e se vicing, when changing accesso ies such as
cutte s etc.
15. AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING
Make su e switch is in 'OFF' position befo e plugging in
cable to the powe supply.
16. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES
Consult the owne 's manual fo ecommended
accesso ies. Follow the inst uctions that accompany the
accesso ies. The use of imp ope accesso ies may cause
haza ds.
17. NEVER STAND ON TOOL
Se ious inju y could occu if the tool is tipped o if the
cutting tool is accidentally contacted. Do not sto e
mate ials above o nea the tool such that it is necessa y
to stand on the tool to each them.
18. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS
Befo e fu the use of the tool, a gua d o othe pa t that is
damaged should be ca efully checked to ensu e that it
will ope ate p ope ly and pe fo m its intended function.
Check fo alignment of moving pa ts, b eakage of pa ts,
mounting and any othe conditions that may affect its

19. DIRECTION OF FEED
Feed wo k into a blade o cutte against the di ection of
otation of the blade o cutte only.
20. NEVER LEAVE MACHINE RUNNING UNATTENDED
Tu n powe off. Do not leave machine until it comes to a
complete stop.
