With the DriverGenius VDC2021 video grabber, you can easily digitize your
recorded videos without a driver (Plug & Play) using a modern software and copy
them from an external playback device (e.g., Video camera or Video recorder), for
example, to your hard disk, Blu-ray or DVD.

Before Installation
You maybe need one or more of the following cables/connectors. Please choose
the right connection according to “Connection Examples” and your Device’s Manual
Instruction.

Connection Examples
1. RCA Connection - This is the most common connection. The yellow jack is for
video connection. The white and red jacks are for audio connections.
2. S-Video + R/L Audio Connection - Under this connection, you need prepare a
S-Video cable and a RCA cable. The S-Video is for video connection. The white and
red jacks of the RCA cable are for audio connections.
3. SCART-RCA Connection - Under this connection, a SCART-RCA connector is
necessary.
4. 3.5mm to RCA Video Connection - Generally a 3.5mm to rca cable is in the
package of your VCR/VHS device.
Note: All of the above mentioned cables / connectors are not included in the
package due to actual needs, so please prepare it (or them) in advance.
Software Installation
• Download Potplayer from https://www.vtop.shop/pages/VDC2021_faq
• Install the Potplayer and Codec files according to the Setup instructions.
Hardware Connection
Please read “Before Installation” fully before “Hardware Connection.”
Hardware Verification
At Device Manager you can find “USB Video” at Camera.
Recording and Saving a Video
To use a Potplayer as capturing software, you have to make settings in advance.
1. Open the recording software.
2. Open Device Settings by "Open" --> "Device Settings...(Alt + D)”
3. Open the menu item "Analog TV". Adjust the "Input" to match your input signal
(for example，composite or S-Video).
4. To start recording a video now, open the menu again and go to "Video" ->
"Video recording" -> "Record video …(Alt + C)”
A window now opens in which you can set all the video options. This could be, e.g.,
the file path (storage), file format or the video bit rate etc.
5. Specify the desired storage location of the video under "Save". Make the desired
settings. Alternatively, use the settings from the figure shown below.
6. Then press the "Start" button to start the video recording. Stop recording by
pressing the "Stop" button.
