DSE4200 Quick-guide for use and start up
Congratulaons with your microwave-based moisture meter for balers, The DSE4200.
This guide is intended as a simple and straighorward guide how to get started using the DSE4200 with a few steps
aer installing it.
If your moisture meter is installed and prepared by
the dealer, you can always go through the menu
under the dierent menu items and change sengs
or repeat e.g. Zero Adjustment.
To start the menu, hold down the right-hand buon
for 3 seconds. Another opon is to press “Restore
factory sengs”, which will bring you through all
the sengs shown in this Quick Guide.
When power is applied to the display for the rst
me, the unit will perform a "system check" and try
to contact the RX and TX units.
If successful, the system will automacally proceed
to the "First me use" dialog. If this fails, there are
faults and shortcomings in the cabling. See user
manual.

Select Ok or Skip using the buons below the
display screen.
Step 3. Language
Select language by using the up/down arrow keys.
Final selecon is made with the arrow poinng to
the right. To get to the next point, press the "Door
buon".

NB! Density associated with microwave-based moisture meters is always DRY WEIGHT DENSITY.
The density is calculated as: (the weight of the bale in kg ÷ the moisture content of the bale in kg) / (the volume
of the bale in mᶾ)
The factory seng is 145 kg/mᶾ. This seng ts classic Heston presses (120 x 127 x 240 cm). If the moisture
meter is to be used for high-density Balers HD in midi format (120 x 90 x 240 cm), experience shows that it can
be advantageous to start with the seng 200 kg/mᶾ.
Step 5. Bale width
Set the desired density with the +/- keys and then
select Ok.
Step 4. Bale density
Use the arrow keys to select the correct bale width
and select Ok.
Step 7. Set and ready to use
If the press is empty, you select Yes. This is answered with Ok and the DSE4200 moisture
meter is now set and ready for use.

NB! Zero adjustment is a very important process that must be carried out, when the moisture meters are to be
used for the rst me and if they have not been in use for a longer period. Zero adjustment can only be done
correctly if the baler is empty.
If sudden incomprehensible measurements are experienced, it may be a good idea to repeat the zero adjustment
process.
