(1) Press and hold for 2 seconds. Pick up the phone and press several times until the LCD display shows MODEM SETUP. Press to
access to ISP PHONE NO. and press again to edit this item.
(2) Use your telephone keypad to input your Internet access phone number. Press to save and exit.
(3) Press and the screen will show ISP USER ID. Press to edit this item. After inputting your ISP USER ID, press again to save and exit.
(4) Press again to access to ISP PASSWORD. Press to edit this item. Input your ISP PASSWORD. For example: to enter "123",
press on your telephone keypad. Press on your to save and exit.
(5) Now you've entered Internet connection information. Press several times until you see EXIT SETUP. Press to save and exit.
Note: ISP Test
If you use modem dialup for your Internet connection, you may want to verify if you have entered correct Internet connection information. After you
completed 3. Input Internet Connection Information, you can perform ISP TEST by the following steps.
(1) Press and hold for 2 seconds and the screen will show WORKING MODE. Pick up the telephone handset and press several times until you
see MODEM SETUP.
(2) Press and then several times until you see ISP TEST on the screen.
(3) Press to start ISP TEST. will test the Internet connection information you entered. Please wait for the testing result. This test will take 30
to 50 seconds.
(4) After the ISP TEST is completed, there are two possible results:
(a) If the screen shows ISP SUCCESS, you've successfully completed your setting.
(b) If the screen shows ISP FAIL, there might be some errors while you entered your Internet connection information or the Internet is heavily
congested at this time. Please try the ISP TEST again later. If the result remains FAIL, please check if the Internet connection information you
entered is correct. Or contact your ISP to check your account status.
(5) Press several times until the screen shows EXIT TO MAIN. Press to exit, and press several times until you see EXIT SETUP. Press
again to exit the setup.
Press and hold for 2 seconds. Pick up the telephone handset and press several times until the LCD display shows ETHERNET SETUP.
Press to access to IP TYPE. Press again to edit this item and press or to select Static IP, DHCP or ADSL PPPoE. Press again to
save and exit.
1. Before You Start
If you are a modem dialup user:
Subscribe to an Internet access account from your local ISP. You'll be given
the following information:
(1) The local Internet access phone number (2) User Name or User ID (3) Password
Note: functions only with standard PPP (Point-to-Point) Internet access. It is
not compatible with certain proprietary commercial services, such as American
Online (AOL).
If you are an Ethernet user:
Subscribe to an Internet access line from your local ISP. It could be ADSL, Cable modem or leased line. You will be given the following information:
(1) Available IP address (2) Gateway IP address (3) Subnet mask
(1) Press and hold the button for 2 seconds
and the LCD screen will show WORKING MODE.
Pick up the telephone handset and press
again to select Modem Dialup or Ethernet mode
by pressing the button on your telephone
keypad.
(2) Press again to save and exit. When you set
the to Modem Dialup mode, the LCD
screen will show IP980M. If you set it to Ethernet
mode, the LCD screen will show IP980E.

Please refer to the right diagrams and follow the instructions below to input the Internet connection information.

(1) Modem Dialup User:
Pick up the handset and press on your to connect
to the Internet. When you see a static @ sign on the LCD screen,
it means it has connected to the Internet. Please wait until you
hear the ready tone.
Congratulations! You've successfully completed the settings. You can start to talk to anyone over Internet/Intranet by following the instructions below.
Note: If you see a static @ sign on the LCD screen, that means the has connected to the Internet successfully. If you see a flashing @ sign on the
LCD screen, it means the is not connected to the Internet.
Note: After the connects to the Internet, you can press on the telephone keypad to display your ITSP account balance on the screen.
For Static IP
(a) When the IP TYPE "Static IP" is selected, pick up the telephone handset and press to access to IP ADDRESS. Press to edit this item.
(b) Use the telephone keypad to input one of the available IP addresses. Press again to save and exit.
(c) Press to go to GATEWAY IP and press to edit this item.
(d) Input the gateway IP address with your telephone keypad. Please check your ISP or network administrator for the information. Press to save and exit.
(e) Press to go to SUBNET MASK. Press to edit this item.
( f ) Input your subnet mask and then press to save and exit. Please check with your ISP or network manager for the information.
(g) Press again to go to OFFHOOK MODE. Press to edit this item and press or to select PSTN or I-PHONE. Press again to save
and exit.
(h) Now you've entered Internet connection information. Press several times until you see EXIT TO MAIN. Press to save and exit. The system
will automatically reload the Ethernet.
For DHCP
(a) When the IP TYPE "DHCP" is selected, pick up the telephone handset and press to go to OFFHOOK MODE. Press to edit this item and
press or to select PSTN or I-PHONE. Press again to save and exit.
(b) Now you've entered Internet connection information. Press several times until you see EXIT TO MAIN. Press to save and exit. Press
several times until you see EXIT SETUP and then press to exit.
For ADSL PPPoE
(a) When the IP TYPE "ADSL PPPoE" is selected, pick up the telephone handset and press to go to ADSL PPPoE ID. Press to edit this item.
(b) Use the telephone keypad to input the ADSL PPPoE ID and then press again to save and exit.
(c) Press to go to PPPoE PASSWORD. Press to edit this item. After you input the password, press to save and exit.
(d) Press again to go to OFFHOOK MODE. Press to edit this item and press or to select PSTN or I-PHONE. Press again to save
and exit.
(e) Now you've entered Internet connection information. Press several times until you see EXIT TO MAIN. Press to save and exit. The
will automatically reload the Ethernet.
(1) Press and hold button for 2 seconds and the screen will display your working mode. Pick up the telephone handset and press several times
until the screen shows ITSP SETUP.
(2) Press and the screen will display ITSP ACCOUNT. Press again to edit this item.
(3) Use your telephone keypad to enter the ITSP account number. Press on your to save and exit. You must have a valid ITSP account in order
to make a Device-to-Phone call. If there's no balance remained in your ITSP account, you can contact your local dealer or e-mail to [email protected].
(4) You have now entered required information for Device-to-Phone mode. Press several times until you see EXIT TO MAIN. Press to save and exit.

4. Input Required Information for Device-to-Phone Mode
Operation Mode
Ethernet User:
First be sure you see a static @ sign on the LCD screen. Pick up the handset directly and you will hear the ready tone. If you set the "OFFHOOK
MODE" as "PSTN", you have to press first and wait for the ready tone before you call.
(2) Now you can start to dial any long-distance or international telephone numbers. No matter where you are, the dialing rules of long-distance calls or
international calls are the same as follows:
Note: If you find any serious delay or interruption during the conversation while using , it is an indication of congested data transmission between
ISPs. You can hang up and try to call again later to see if the transmission improves. If you have any further question, please refer to the
