This booklet provides an overview for USB Phone S200, DSG SoftPhone and
DSG ITSP Network services. DSG S200 is a USB phone connects to your
computer via a USB plug. It provides clear voice quality allowing you to bypass
the sound card to avoid the possible of distortion when place calls.
DSG SoftPhone is a software application running on computers that
synchronizes with USB Phone S200. DSG SoftPhone provides a web-based
interface that facilitates your calling process and account management.
Supported by DSG ITSP Network services, you are able to place calls to any
regular phone in the world at significantly low-priced rates or other DSG VoIP
devices including IPStar, InterStar, InterPhone, IP770, IP870 or DSG SoftPhone.
Overview
Before You Start
Before you install, make sure your PC meet the minimum system requirement
as below.
!Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP
!Pentium 166 or higher
!10 MB hard disk space
!Available USB port
!CD-ROM drive
!32 MB RAM
!Internet access
!Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later
Make sure you have the followings.
!DSG CD
!USB Phone S200
!A valid DSG ITSP Account

Installation
You will need to install DSG SoftPhone and connect USB Phone S200 to your
computer to complete the setup.
Step 1. Installing DSG SoftPhone
Insert the DSG CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. The setup wizard
will start automatically. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the
installation of DSG SoftPhone application.
If the setup wizard does not start when you insert the CD, click Windows
Start Menu and select Run. In the dialog box, type d:\Setup, where 'd' is
your CD-ROM drive, then click Ok. You can also double click on d:\setup from
Windows Explorer.
After install DSG SoftPhone successfully, you will see the DSG SoftPhone
appear in Program Menu and has a shortcut on your Desktop. If your
computer requires you to reboot, restart your computer.
Step 2. Installing USB Phone S200
Make sure the DSG CD is inserted in the CD-ROM drive of your computer,
and then connect USB Phone S200 to your computer's USB port. Your
computer will prompt a pop-up screen 'New Hardware Found' and install the
necessary drivers from DSG CD automatically.

If your computer's OS is Windows 98, you might see a dialog box require
you to assign the drivers. Follow the procedures below to install drivers.
!Under 'What do you want Windows to do?', select 'Display a list of all the
drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want' and
then click Next.
!Specify a location to d:\usb_phone_driver, where 'd' is your CD-ROM drive.
Click Next to install 'tjcom.inf'.
!After installing the above driver, your computer will prompt a pop-up screen
and require you to install other drivers.
!Follow the above procedures to specify the location to
d:\usb_phone_driver and install 'tjusbdev.inf' and 'tjusbaud.inf'.
Step 3. Setup Checkups
After complete the installation of drivers, click Windows Start menu. Move to
Settings and select Control Panel. Double click System. Under System
Properties, click the Device Manager tab. Make sure under 'Sound, video
and game controllers' there is 'USB Internet Phone by TigerJet' item and
under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' there are 'TigerJet USB Composite
Device' and 'TigerJet USB Handset with Keypad Device.'

First Time Use
Congratulations! You have completed the installation. Follow the steps below
to fine-tune your voice input and output and get registered with DSG. You are
then ready to call.
Step 1. Setting Audio Wizard
Run DSG SoftPhone. When you run DSG SoftPhone for the first time, the
audio wizard will be launched automatically to fine-tune your voice input and
output. Follow the on-screen instructions to make sure your USB Phone S200
is working properly.
Note: On the 'Adjust the playback volume' window, make sure the 'USB
Internet Phone by TigerJet' is selected as the preferred audio device.
Step 2. Registration
DSG ITSP Network services allow you to place calls from your computer to
worldwide regular phones or other DSG VoIP devices. To enjoy the services,
you have to obtain a valid ITSP account and register with DSG Account
Center.
!Open DSG SoftPhone and you will see the log-in screen.
!Click the Create New Account button to create your own account. You will
then be connected to DSG website to fill out the registration form.
!On the Register page, input your User Name, ITSP Account, Password
and other required fields.
!Click the Submit button to complete the registration.

Making Phone Calls
Open DSG SoftPhone and log in with your user name and password. DSG
SoftPhone provides PC-to-Phone Mode allowing you to call worldwide
regular phones and PC-to-IP Mode allowing you to call other DSG VoIP
Devices. You can choose to make phone calls from USB Phone S200 or
DSG SoftPhone.
Making PC-to-Phone Calls
First of all make sure you are in PC-to-Phone mode. Enter the country code,
area code and phone number of the party you wish to call.
!To place a call using USB Phone S200, dial the receiver's country code,
area code and phone number from the keypad and press Talk button.
Note: The user name and password are case sensitive and should not exceed
15 characters. You should keep your user name and password in a safe place.

Step 3. Log-in
Open DSG SoftPhone and you will see the log-in screen. Use the user name
and password you created and click Login button. You are now ready to place
Internet phone calls.

For example, to call 1 (USA country code)-212(area code)-5551234 (phone
number), dial 12125551234 and press Talk button to call.
!To place a call using DSG SoftPhone, input the country code, area code
and phone number you want to call and then click Dial.
For example, to call 1 (USA country code)-212(area code)-5551234 (phone
number), type 12125551234 and click Dial.
Making PC-to-IP Calls
Make sure you are in PC-to-IP Mode and you have the IP address of the
receiver's DSG VoIP device with you. Notice that the IP address you wish to
call should be a public IP address.
!To place a call using USB Phone S200, dial the receiver's IP address,
separating the IP address sections with ' ' button, and press Talk.

For example, to call an InterStar IP address 192.168.1.1, dial 192*168*1*1
and press Talk button.
!To call a DSG VoIP device using DSG SoftPhone, enter the receiver's IP
address separating the section with a ''.'' key.
For example, to call a DSG SoftPhone IP address 192.168.1.1, input
192.168.1.1 and click Dial to call.

If you find any serious delay or cut off in the middle of words, it is an indication of
congested data transmission between ISPs. You can hang up and try again later
to see if the transmission improves. If you have any further questions, please refer
to Operation Manual or visit www.dsgtechnology.com for more details.
