1Setup
Intended use
The DT-200 is intended to create new sounds for your synthesizer.
The DT-200 v3 is a programmer for the JX-3P and the MKS-30 but will also work
with Roland's GR-700 Guitar Synth.
What is included
Please ensure that your DT-200 includes the following:
•DT-200 Programmer (in the second box)
•Din 6P Male-Male MIDI Cable (in the main box)
Installation
Installation of the programmer onto the synthesizer is simple and requires no
tools. .
1. Make sure that the JX-3P is turned off
2. Connect the DIN jack on the programmer and the Programmer Input jack
on the rear panel of the JX-3P with the DIN cord (6p)
3. Set the Ext. Selection switch on the rear panel of the JX-3P to the
Programmer position.
4. Turn the JX-3P on. The JX-3P supplies power to the DT200
5. When the DT200 is turned on, the Red LEDs will go on and off, showing
everything is ok.
The DT200 has no sound source itself, therefore no sound is obtained unless
connected to the JX-3P.

2Operation
Powering On & Off
When you power the synthesizer on or off, the programmer will automatically
wake up or go to sleep. No action is required to turn the programmer on or off.
Flashing LEDS
If the red VCA-MODE LED and MANUAL LED both flash, there is no communication
with the synthesizer, this can be a defective cable or defective synthesizer.
Using the WRITE function
A WRITE button is not present on the DT200. To write patches to memory, use the
WRITE button on the synthesizer.
