General safety instructions
When using the air purifier, basic precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock,
or injury:
Carefully read through the operating instructions for the
appliance and safeguard them for future reference.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children under 8 years
old or by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their
safety, and understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children
without supervision.
• The cord of the adaptor cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged, the adaptor is not usable.
• This appliance is only to be used with the adaptor model
provided and supplied at the safety low voltage indicated on
appliance marking plate.
• Turn the power o and disconnect the adaptor before cleaning
the appliance. Proceed according to the cleaning section of this
manual for cleaning the appliance.
• This appliance is designed only for household use up to 2,000 m
above sea level.

Important notices
• Do not plug in the appliance until you have read and are familiar with all instructions and
procedures described in this user manual.
• Only use the power adaptor provided with the appliance.
• Before plugging in the power adaptor, check that your home’s electric circuit voltage is the same
as indicated on its characteristics plate.
• This appliance is designed for home use and should never be used for commercial or industrial
uses under any circumstances. Any incorrect use or improper handling of the product shall render
the guarantee null and void.
• This appliance must be used only for the purposes described in this user manual. Any other use
will be considered improper and consequently dangerous.
• Use indoors only. Do not leave the appliance exposed to weather conditions.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water
or other liquids.
• Do not use the appliance, or connect and disconnect to supply mains with wet hands and/or feet.
• The appliance must be used and rested on a flat and stable surface.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, plug or adaptor, or in the event it has been
dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the appliance. If
it is not working as it should, contact Dupray’s customer service team immediately. Incorrect
assembly might result in a risk of electric shock when the appliance is used aer reassembly.
• Always turn the appliance o before plugging or unplugging the adaptor. Never pull on the cord
to disconnect the adaptor from the appliance; instead, grasp the plug and pull on the plug to
disconnect it.
• The cord must not be tangled or wrapped around the appliance during use. Do not allow the
cord to come into contact with sharp edges or hot surfaces. Arrange the cord so that it will not be
pulled or be tripped over.
• Do not place the appliance in a room with high humidity (bathrooms, green houses) or smoke.
Keep it away from gas appliances, flammable and toxic vapors.
• Do not obstruct air inlets or outlets. Keep openings free of dust, hair, or anything that may reduce
air flow.
• Keep hair, clothing, and fingers away from openings.
Do not insert objects.
• Always turn the unit OFF, unplug and remove the plant pot before watering the plant.
• Keep space (12 in./30 cm) around and above the appliance free of objects or clutter.
• Do not wash or reuse the HEPA filter. Replace it only with an original filter from Dupray.
• Do not install a wet fabric pre-filter on the unit. Make sure the pre-filter is entirely dry.
• Do not let the plant grow over 3.3 /1 m in height.
• Proceed according to the maintenance and cleaning section of this manual for cleaning the unit.

Get started
Choose the proper placement
Place the Bloom™ in an upright position on the floor in your room. We recommend installing the
unit in a space that is less than 1,517 sq../141 m to maximize eectiveness. Make sure to place
the unit where it won’t be knocked over by any person or pet in the household.
Install the antibacterial pre-filter

Pull the pre-filter up to cover
the base section.
Place the pre-filter at the base
of the upside down unit.
When properly installed, the
pre-filter will be flush and kept
in place by the indent.
Make sure the unit is more than
12 in./30 cm away from any
other object or walls.
Do not place the unit near
sources of heat, such as
radiators, fireplaces, or ovens.

wet areas such as bathrooms,

Connect the power cable
at the back of the Bloom™
then plug it into an electrical
outlet.
Turn the power switch,
located at the back, to ON.
The AUTO mode and air quality
indicators will illuminate on
the control button.

Bloom™ comes with a universal power adaptor and a set of 3 dierent plugs.
Select the one that corresponds to your area and install it on the power adaptor.

The usage of the standard North American power plug in the illustrations above is for explanation
purpose only. You must install the one that corresponds to your country's electrical installation.
The lights may flash for a brief moment as the system is running a self-test.

Control button
The touch-sensitive control button is located at the front of the Bloom™.
Touch it to navigate through the dierent modes. Aer 20 seconds
without any interaction the lights will fade out for a subtle appearance.
Touching the control button once from HIGH SPEED will cycle back
to AUTO mode.
AUTO mode
AUTO mode is the default mode when Bloom™ is turned ON.
It will automatically regulate the fan speed according to your
indoor room air quality.
NIGHT mode
Tap once to switch to NIGHT mode. In this mode, the fan speed
will drop to a minimum and all lights will turn OFF, even when
the air quality changes.
A 12-hour timer will be set automatically. When the timer is up,
Bloom™ will go back to AUTO mode.

Air quality indicator
Bloom™ provides an accurate real-time indication of the room's air quality. When set to AUTO
mode, the fan speed adjusts according to the air quality sensor's reading.
The air quality indicator will light up automatically when the air quality changes and will fade aer
20 seconds if the function button is le untouched.
The air quality is divided into 3 color categories:
Good
Green
Fair
Yellow
Poor
Purple
When set on a manual fan speed mode, the air quality sensor has no impact on the fan speed.
Low fan speed Medium fan speed High fan speed
5 sec Press and hold the control button for 5 seconds.
When activated, the air quality light will stay ON and the rest
of the lights will fade out.
To deactivate the always ON mode, repeat the same step.
This function does not apply when on NIGHT mode.
All lights will go OFF aer 20 seconds from the last time
the button was touched.

Add a plant
Make sure the root strainer is placed at the
buttom of the pot.
Add enough soil for your plant.
Insert your plant into the pot.Add a bit of water to dampen the soil.
Add soil. Stop below the handle. Add a bit more water. Don't overwater!
For safety reasons, transplanting, adding soil, watering,
or any other plant manipulations need to be done with the
unit turned OFF, unplugged, and the plant pot removed
from the air purifier and set on a flat, steady surface.

Pruning your plant
Insert the pot back into the Bloom.
Pruning is the practice of trimming parts of the plant to refresh
its look and allow for new, healthy growth. Pruning needs will
dier depending on the plant species.
Keep the plant height under 3.3 ft/1 meter to
ensure the stability of the unit and the safety of
the users.

Filters
The unit comes with an antibacterial pre-filter and a HEPA-13 filter. These filters help remove the
following pollutants:
Dust
Pollen Pet dander
Dust mites
Bacteria
VOCs
Mold
Smoke
Chemicals
Cooking odors
Maintenance
Please take proper care of your Bloom™ Air Purifier to ensure optimal performance
and product lifespan.
Cleaning your air purifier
Remove the pot (and plant)
from the bottom section
of the Bloom™.
Always unplug the unit
before cleaning it.

Pre-filter cleaning
Reminder: Always unplug the unit before removing the pre-filter.
The pre-filter should be cleaned every 4 to 6 weeks to increase the eiciency and extend the life of
your air purifier.
You can also wash the pre-filter in the washing machine on a gentle, low temperature cycle
and hang to dry.
DO NOT bleach, iron or tumble dry.
Occasionally vacuum the exterior of the pre-filter to remove dust
or use a so brush to remove larger particules such as hair
and dust.
Wipe the outside of the planter with a so, dry cloth.
If necessary, wipe the housing with a damp cloth, then dry
immediately.
DO NOT clean with harsh, abrasive chemicals or flammable
cleaning agents. Keep soil away from the power connection, the
front button control, and the pre-filter.

Replacing the HEPA filter
The HEPA filter should be replaced aer every 6-8 months of use or when the filter change indicator
turns ON. You may need to replace your filter sooner or later depending on how oen you use your
air purifier. Using the unit in an environment with relatively high pollution may mean you will need
to replace the filter more oen, even if the filter change indicator is OFF.
When it's time to replace the HEPA filter, the filter replacement indicator
located on the control button will blink red.
Note: Remember to reset the filter change alert aer replacing the HEPA filter.
Unclip the 2 clips and remove the cover. Remove the old filter and install a new
HEPA filter on the filter frame.
Flip the air purifier upside down. Open the filter section by turning
counterclockwise. Li, and remove
the HEPA filter.
Change the filter if you notice : Before attempting to change
the HEPA filter :
• Increased noise when the air purifier is on. • Turn the unit OFF and unplug.
• Decreased airflow. • Remove the pot and plant.
• Unusual odors. • Remove the pre-filter.
• A visibly clogged filter.

Replace the cover, insert the new filter, and lock it in place by turning clockwise.
Note: The filter mode is only available when the filter change indicator is ON.
To reset the alert, press the button for 5 seconds. While pressing, the filter light
will blink, then go OFF and the mode will change to AUTO, indicating the alert has
been successfully reset.
To reset the filter change alert
Once the filter has been replaced, reset the alert. Access the FILTER mode by
tapping the control button once when on HIGH FAN SPEED mode.
When on filter mode, the red
LED will stop blinking.

Cleaning the air quality sensor
The air quality sensor lens should be cleaned every 2 to 3 months to make sure the air purifier properly
detects the particles in the air.
Using a dry cloth or a so brush, remove dust
from inside and outside the cover. Make sure
the 2 holes in the cover are free of dust.
Using a slightly damp cotton swab, clean the
air quality sensor lens, which is the circular
mirror-like surface at the upper le section
inside the cavity.
Dry the sensor lens with a dry cotton swab
and close the cover.
Open the air quality sensor cover.
Turn OFF and unplug the unit. Find the air quality sensor cover located under
the pre-filter at the back of the unit.
Clean the lens only, nothing else, and do so very delicately.
DO NOT remove the foam cover piece on the cover.

Airflow seems to be weak
or reduced.
The unit is set on AUTO mode and
the air quality is good, so the fan is
running on low speed.
The machine is working as
intended; enjoy the clean air.
The unit was set on LOW
speed mode.
Select a different air speed level
by touching the control button to
increase air flow/filtration power.
Air flow might be blocked by
objects, furniture, wall, toys or
anything too close
to the air intake.
Leave at least 12 in./38 cm.

The filter is clogged. Replace the filter. (refer to page

The air purifier may be damaged,
or a foreign object may be

A weird smell is coming from the
unit.
The pre-filter may be dirty. Clean the pre-filter.

The HEPA filter may be saturated

The unit may be in an area with
very high humidity levels (above
55%). Mold may have developed
on the filters, or essential oils may
have been diffused in the area.
Make sure not to use your air
purifier in an area with high
humidity or while diffusing
essential oils. Replace the filter.

Poor performance/air cleaning
quality.
Unit is set to LOW speed setting. Select a different air speed level
by touching the control button to
increase air flow/filtration power.

A blinking red light has appeared

After 180 days (6 months) of usage
(time is not factored in if the unit
is OFF), the filter change light will
appear, indicating the HEPA filter
must be replaced. Don’t forget to
reset the filter change alert.

change mode, located right after
