NOTE:
•Remove thebatteries during long periods (about30 days
or more) of nonuse, possible battery leakage and corrosion
candamagetheset.
•If the sound becomesweakand unclear,thebatteries may
be weak. Replace both batteriesat once.
TOINSERT THETAPE
1.Open the CASSETTE DOOR by holding the door as shown
and gently pulling it toyou.
2.Insert the tape into the cassette holder ON THEDOOR.
3.Closethe CASSETTEDOOR gently till itclicks shut.
CAUTION: Do not pull doortoo strongly or you may damage
thedoor,treatthis setwithcareandit willlasta
long time.

BATTERYINSTALLATION
Slide theBATTERYDOOR inthe direction shown bythe arrow
toopenthedoorandinsert2 “AA”batteries,taking care notto
reverse thepositive andnegativepolarities.
Alkalinebatteries are
recommendedandwill
normally providemore playing
time.
•Donot mixoldandnewbatteries.
•Donotmixalkaline,standard (carbon-zinc)or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.

TAPE PLAY
1.Check whether ornot thetape is tightbefore it isinserted.
2.Open the CASSETTEDOOR by hand, face the side to be
played towardyou, and insertthe cassette tape. Close the
CASSETTEDOOR.
3.Connect the headphones tothe jack and adjust the
headphonesbandforproper fit.
4.Pressthe PLAY button.
5.Adjust theVOLUME tocontrolthesoundlevelyoulike.
6.Toskip portions of the cassette tape, press the FASTF.
button.
7.Tostop playingthecassettetape, press the STOP button,
and the power source is also turned off.
(This set has abuilt-in auto-stop and the tape mechanism will
stop playing and shut off when it reaches the end of the tape.)
8.Tohear the other sideoftape,flip it over andpress PLAY .
TOHEAR THESAMESONG AGAIN
1.Remove thetape,flip it around to the other sideand insertit.
2.Press the FASTF. buttonforashorttime.
3.Removetape, flipitaroundto the originalside,reinsert and
press PLAY .

•Tokeep the tape from tangling, firmly
windthetapebeforeinsertingit intothe
player.
•Useofacassette withmorethan90
minutes,such asC-120 (120
minutes), is not recommended. The
extreme thinness of this tape may
damagethis set.
CLEANINGTAPEHEAD
If the sound dropsout or excessive
noiseoccurs, cleanthe magnetic
head,capstan andpinchroller witha
cottonswabmoistenedwith alcohol.
BASSBOOSTSWITCH
This switchenhances the low frequency (bass) sound atlow
listening levels.Tosuit yourtaste,rotate the BASS BOOSTswitch
upwards, theorange indicatorappearsinside the circle.
