Dyanlink A 1171 InfraRed Repeater System
Thank you for purchasing this IR repeater system, which is ideal for controlling
up to eight units of IR-controlled A/V devices that are located behind closed
doors or in closets or draws, using your existing IR remote controls.
Inside the Box:
(1) IR Connecting Box
(2) Dual-band IR receiver with 4-conductor round cable
(3) Single IR emitter (4 units)
(4) 12Vd.c. 500mA switching mode power adapter
Box Receiver Emitter Power Adapter
MOUNTING INSTRUCTION (See installation diagram):
Mount the IR connecting Box behind the A/V devices and near an AC outlet
that is compatible with the input voltage for the power adapter.
Connect the supplied IR receiver to the Connecting Box via socket or terminal.
Place the IR receiver sensor eyes in a desired location so that they can readily
receive a signal from a remote control.
Plug as many IR emitters into the connecting box as required, and adhere the
emitter directly onto the device’s IR sensors.
Plug the power adaptor into an AC outlet and connects the DC jack to the
POWER socket of the connecting box. Make sure the POWER DC12V LED
indicator light is green.

(1) IR CONNECTING BOX
Features and Characteristics
Four IR emitter output connections for 4 single/ dual emitters.
Two IR receiver inputs –1x 3.5mm jack and 1x 3-p screw terminal block.
Power socket with LED indicator to show on/off status.
Adhesive tape for mounting near audio equipment.
Installation
Power:
Connect a 12V DC 550mA power adapter to the power jack of the Connecting
Box. The green LED will be illuminated when powered. This will power all of
the IR components connected to the system.
IR system connection:
Connect the IR system to the detachable terminal connector printed thus: V+
(12VDC), G(Ground), and IR (Signal). Or use a 3.5mm jack for the other IR
socket on the Connecting Box.
Emitter Outputs:
Choose the most suitable parts for your application such as single emitters
(supplied) or dual IR emitters (optional accessory). Connect up to four emitters
to the emitter jacks marked 1-4 in the Connecting Box. Place the emitters
directly onto the source equipment’s IR sensors (up to 4 units when using the
single emitters, up to 8 when using dual emitters).
Mounting:
Mount the Connecting Box near the source equipment to which the emitters are
attached.
(2) DUAL-BAND IR RECEIVER - SPECIFICATION & FEATURES:
Carrier Frequency: 38kHz + 2kHz and 56kHz + 2kHz.
Control Range: 38kHz up to 15 meters and 56kHz up to 10 meters indoors on
axis, depending on remote transmitter signal strength and ambient
interference. Direct sunlight can reduce the range of the IR signal.
Reception Angle: Up to 6 meters distance for + / –45 degrees off axis.
LED display:
Activity LED: When IR signal is received from the remote control, the red LED
indicates IR activity.
Status LED: The Blue LED for System On/Off indication.
IR Lens: Limits visible light interference.
Room to Room wire recommendation: Using 3-conductor (min.) 24 gauge
unshielded solid or stranded copper wire up to 300 meters length.
Power Requirement: 12Vd.c., (500~1200mA), using a regulated adaptor is
always recommended.
Dimension: 32(L) x 13(W) x 12(H) mm.
(3) IR EMITTERS –Single or Dual
SPECIFICATION and FEATURES:
Infrared emitter is built into transparent housing.
Non-blinking version with peak wavelength 940nm.
Cable length = 3m.
Uses 3.5mm standard mono plug.
Self-adhesive tape provides quick and easy fixing to any hard, clean, and dry
surface.
NOTES:
Make sure mounting surface must be clean and dry for well fixing.
Do not connect the IR emitter directly to any power supply or battery.
(4) POWER ADAPTER - 12V/500mA Switching mode
This is a 12Vd.c. 500mA power supply for powering IR components. Power
connectors: Diameter 2.1mm, Tip positive, sleeve negative.
