Quick Start Guide (rev 2.0)
Introduction
The Dynamode 850 UPS is a low cost solution or electronic device protection or both
Computers and other electronic sensitive devices such as Networking Devices,
Multimedia and Broadcast equipment. Please take time to read the ollowing so you can
get acquainted with this device
Charging the UPS for the first time
In order to ully use the internal Battery o the UPS in the event o a power cut, the UPS
will irst need to be charged or the irst time, a ter unpacking the product.
Please place the UPS in a suitable, level position, away rom heat sources. Connect the
supplied Power Cable into the rear (bottom, male IEC socket) o the UPS. Connect the
UK Plug into a suitable electrical wall outlet.
Important note: The Dynamode 850VA UPS shou d be charged for at east 6 ~ 8 hours
without any oad (i.e. devices connected to it) so to fu y charge its interna Battery!
To con irm the UPS is charging, there is a Yellow LED on the ront o the device. It will
glow Yellow when the Battery is charging.
Starting up the UPS
Be ore starting the UPS, please connect any Computer devices or equipment to the rear,
emale IECs at the back o the UPS. Please do not exceed the maximum rating o the
UPS as this may cause the UPS to ail and thus not provide protection or your
equipment.
1. Once input Power to the UPS is con irmed, please press the ront, top-right
On/O button or around 3 Seconds to activate the UPS, a bleep will also sound
2. I normal, external Power is being eed into the UPS the Green LED will glow,
this is con irmation the UPS is running correctly
Important note: P ease do not p ug Fax, Scanners or Printers into the UPS as these may
cause vo tage spikes and reduce UPS performance!

UPS vo tage warning procedures
The Dynamode UPS has both visible and audible warnings in the event o a Power
Outage or other Power problem. The table below is a summary o these:-

Turning off the UPS
The Dynamode 850VA UPS is designed to be le t on continually. However, in order to
maintain Battery per ormance the UPS can bene it rom being switched o i not needed
or any long duration.
Please Press the ront, top right button or around 3 seconds to turn the UPS o .
Rep acing the Fuse and Troub eshooting
The Dynamode 850VA UPS has a user replaceable glass use located under the Power
Input IEC. To access this, please (with the UPS turned o and unplugged rom any Power
Source) care ully pull orward the notch which holds two uses.
Examine the existing use; i the wire is not continuous then it is blown. Replace the use
with the spare next to it, push back the use holder and connect and turn on the UPS in
the normal way.
WARNING: There are no user serviceab e parts in this UPS. The
interna sea ed Battery is NOT user rep aceab e.
