BEFORE USE
You must inspect the appliance for any signs of damage. If the product is
damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier immediately.
PRODUCT SAFETY
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance.
•Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
•For indoor use only.
•Do not use in bathrooms, or in wet or damp locations.
•Do not use in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming
pool.
OPERATION
Modern banknotes contain numerous security features which can be used to
determine if the note is genuine or fake. The L112F makes it easy to check
some of the more advanced features such as fluorescence, watermark,
metallic thread and see-through register.

Remove the cover of the battery compartment, insert four AA cells into the
battery compartment, observing the correct polarity, and replace the cover.
Move on the main power switch on the front panel to the TUBE position. Hold
the L112F above the suspicious bank note on the panel.
Check the Ultra-violet feature as follows: The paper should not glow. On a
sterling banknote, the denomination will appear in bright colours. On the
obverse of a Euro banknote, the European flag will be illuminated in green and
orange stars, and red, green and blue fibres embedded in the paper will glow.
On the reverse of a Euro banknote, the picture of the bridge and the
denomination will glow yellow.
The photograph on the outer carton shows the ultraviolet features of a £10
note.

To check the watermark and see-through register features, move the main
power switch to the TORCH position, and shine the light through the banknote
from the back.
On a sterling banknote, the watermark shows a portrait of the Queen; on a
Euro banknote, the watermark shows pictures of windows.
The "see-through register" feature aligns different images on the front and
back of the note to make a continuous image. This shows the denomination of
the note.
On sterling banknotes this feature only occurs on £20 and £50 notes.
Also visible will be the metallic strip. This appears as a continuous dark line on
sterling bank notes. On Euro banknotes "EURO" is visible along the strip in tiny
letters.
The L112F can also be used on banknotes of other currencies.
The L112F has been tested on sterling and Euro banknotes, and we are
confident that is effective when used in conjunction with the other security
features listed on the Bank of England and European Central Bank websites.
However, we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from the
use of this product,
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
You must not dispose of this appliance with domestic household waste.
Most local authorities have specific collection system for appliances and
disposal is free of charge to the end-user.
When replacing an existing appliance with a similar new appliance your retailer
may take the old appliance for disposal.
Always recycle spent batteries, do not dispose of them along with household
waste.

FONCTIONNEMENT
Les billets de banque modernes contiennent de nombreux dispositifs de
sécurité qui peuvent être utilisés pour déterminer si le billet est vrai ou faux. Le
détecteur L112F facilite la vérification des caractéristiques les plus avancées
comme la fluorescence, le filigrane, le fil métallique et permet de voir à travers.

Enlevez le couvercle du compartiment de piles, insérez quatre piles AA dans le
compartiment en respectant la polarité puis replacez le couvercle.
Vérifiez la réactivité Utra-Violet comme suit :Le papier ne doit pas briller. Sur
l'avers d'un billet de banque en euros (côté portant l'effigie ou côté face), des
étoiles vertes et orange s'illumineront sur le drapeau européen et des fibres
rouges, vertes et bleues noyées dans le papier brilleront en jaune.
Pour vérifier le filigrane et voir à travers, examinez le billet à la lumière. Sur un
billet en euros, le filigrane est constitué de vitraux. Les informations visibles par
transparence alignent différentes images à l'avant et à l'arrière du billet pour
faire une image continue. Cela permet de contrôler la dénomination du billet.
La bande métallique sera également visible. Sur les billets de banque en euros,
le mot ''EURO'' est visible le long de la bande en lettres minuscules.
Le L112F peut également être utilisé sur les billets de banque d'autres
monnaies.

Il a été testé sur la livre sterling et l'Euro et nous sommes convaincus qu'il est
efficace lorsqu'il est utilisé en conjonction avec les autres dispositifs de
sécurité mentionnés sur les sites de la Banque Centrale Européenne et de la
Banque d'Angleterre.
Cependant, nous ne pouvons pas être tenus responsables en cas de perte ou
dommage résultant de l'utilisation de ce produit.
Le L112F incorpore également un détecteur de bande magnétique pour les
cartes de crédit. Celui-ci est situé à droite de la zone de visualisation des
billets.
Passez la bande magnétique de la carte de crédit sur le détecteur et la LED
s'allumera si une bande magnétique est détectée. Le L112F ne lit pas ni ne
vérifie pas la validité des données contenues sur la bande.
ELIMINATION ET RECYCLAGE
Vous ne devez pas jeter cet appareil avec les ordures ménagères.
La plupart des communes possèdent un système de collecte spécifique et
gratuit pour ce type d'appareils. Dans le cas contraire, renseignez-vous après
de votre mairie.
Quand vous remplacez l'appareil existant par un appareil neuf similaire, votre
revendeur peut se charger du recyclage de l'ancien appareil.
