Establish connection
To establish a connection to the RCD 22, congu-
re a serial interface with the following parameters:
Transmission speed: 9,600 Bd
Start bit: 1
Data bits: 8
Stop bit: 1
Parity: none
Hardwarehandshake: no
XOn/XO󰀨: no
The RCD22 sends a life telegram to the PC every
2 seconds. (A5 04 1B 00 0A 0D). This enables
you to check whether the interface settings have
been made correctly or not.
The telegram structure of the life telegram
is described in the adjacent table.
Transmit Easywave telegram
To trigger a transmission process, transmit a va-
lid transmission telegram to the RCD22 via the
RS232 interface.
The telegram structure can be found in the adja-
cent table. All entries marked as X can be freely
selected by the user.
The RCD22 is able to send out any Easywave
telegrams. Only the rst 8 bits of an Easywave
serial number cannot be freely selected for se-
curity reasons. This means that it is not possible
to duplicate received Easywave telegrams. Only
self-selected serial numbers can be sent out.
Receive Easywave telegram
The RCD22 forwards all received Easywave te-
legrams via the serial interface. You can see the
structure of the telegrams in the adjacent table.
By looking at the entries marked as X, Easywave
transmitters and their buttons can be clearly dis-
tinguished from one another.
