• For the argest cinema screen channe app ications
• Bi-amp ified
The CSC923X represents a major advancement in cinema screen
channe speaker design. Incorporating many new EAW engineering
breakthroughs, the CSC723X is designed to provide optima coverage
in a cinemas, especia y “stadium” seating auditoriums, where
front-to-back coverage provides a difficu t cha enge for even the
best conventiona systems.
The bi-amp ified three-way CSC923X features a mu ticomponent
modu ar design which a ows quick insta ation, with no assemb y
required on site.
The mid-range and high frequency horns feature an unusua
asymmetrica f are design, which provides a narrow pattern at the
rear of the room, and a wider pattern at the front of the room. This
design minimizes energy radiated at the side wa s, whi e concen-
trating sound in the seating area. The high frequency horn is
coup ed to a 2-in exit driver, and a so features a contro ed co ap-
sing pattern at the very highest frequencies, which compensates for
the screen’s effect of widening the dispersion, thus resu ting in a
constant pattern in the seating area.
The sing e 10” mid-range cone driver is housed in its own subenc o-
sure and is coup ed to EAW’s patented Radia Phase P ug.™ The
unique design of the Radia Phase P ug™ significant y reduces throat
distortion and frequency “time smear”, resu ting in noticeab y
c earer, more natura sounding dia og.
The dua ow frequency sections incorporate EAW’s “push-pu ”
driver arrangement. Each driver pair is out of phase re ative to each
other both physica y and e ectrica y, yet their product is
acoustica y in phase, substantia y owering mechanica y induced
distortion.
The CSC-MFX mid-frequency section inc udes an interna passive
crossover network, which provides frequency division for the mid and
high frequency sections.
