A very low noise, high impedance in-
strument input. The input jack also
switches the internal battery power on and
off.
WARNING! Be sure to keep the output
volume down when plugging in and out
the jack.

ingång. Ingångsjacket kopplar även på den

SELECTING ACTIVE OR PASSIVE
The 10-pole piano switch offers the pos-
sibility to adjust the input impedance and
sensitivity of the EBS-MicroBass accord-
ing to the instrument being used. The set-
ting is very important to achieve maximum
operation from the unit.
Den 10-poliga piano-omkopplaren erbju-
der möjligheten att ställa in ingångs-
impedansen och känsligheten för EBS-
MicroBass beroende på typ av instrument
inkopplat. Denna inställning är mycket
viktig för att enheten skall fungera korrekt.
PASSIVE INSTRUMENT
Use this setting if have a passive instru-
ment with high output impedance or sim-
ply low signal level. This is the factory
setting.
Använd denna inställning om du har ett
passivt instrument med hög utgångs-
impedans eller låg utsignal. Denna är
fabriksinställningen.
ACTIVE INSTRUMENT
Use this setting if you have an active in-
strument and/or high output signal
strength.
Använd denna inställning om du har ett
aktivt instrument och/eller hög utsignal.
Battery replacement is achieved in the
following way:
• Unscrew carefully the four M3 bolts
located at the bottom plate.
• Remove the clip and the bottom plate.
• Replace the old battery with a new one.
• Carefully put the bottom plate and the
clip to their correct position.
• Put back the four bolt and fasten them
with moderate tension.
Be sure to use an appropriate screwdriver
to not damage the bolts or other parts on
the EBS-MicroBass.
If you are unsure how to replace the
battery, please consult your nearest music
dealer for correct procedure.
Battery life is approximately 200 hours of
operation, i.e. more than 7 weeks using the
unit 4 hours every day.
Så här går du tillväga när du skall byta
batteri:
• Skruva försiktigt bort de fyra M3
skruvarna på underdelen.
• Ta bort clipset och underdelen
• Ersätt det gamla batteriet med ett nytt.
• Sätt försiktigt tillbaks bottendelen och
clipset på deras rätta ställe.
• Sätt tillbaks de fyra skruvarna och
skruva dem lagom hårt.
Var säker på att använda rät typ av
skruvmejsel för att inte skada skruvarna
eller andra delar på EBS-MicroBass.
Om du är osäker på hur du skall byta
batteri, rådgör med din närmaste
musikhandlare för rätt tillvägagångssätt.
Batterilivslängden är ungefär 200 timmars
drift, dvs mer än 7 veckors användning 4
timmar per dag.

USING PHANTOM POWER SETTING THE INPUT GAIN

The Phantom Power option allows you to
power the EBS-MicroBass from an exter-
nal power source such as the EBS-1V2
preamp, EBS-300 Gorm bass combo, EBS-
AC300/315 active cabinets or similar units
incorporating phantom power.
If you intend to power the MicroBass from
another source, please consult the nearest
dealer for proper wiring.
When using the phantom power, you only
need to connect a stereo jack cable between
the OUTPUT from the EBS-MicroBass
and the input jack of the amplifier. The
figure below shows the connection of the
phantom powering system.
Note that the battery doesn’t need to be
removed. The phantom power will not
surge or charge the battery.
EBS MicroBass kan strömförsörjas från
andra yttre apparater såsom EBS-1V2
förförstärkare, EBS-300 Gorm bascombo,
EBS-AC300/315 aktiva högtalarlådor eller
andra enheter med möjlighet till strömför-
sörjning.
Om du vill strömförsörja MicroBass från
en annan strömkälla, rådgör med din
musikhandlare för korrekt inkoppling.
När du använder den externa strömmat-
ningen, koppla in en stereotelekabel
mellan EBS-MicroBass och ingångsjacket
på förstärkaren. Figuren nedan visar
kopplingen hos kabeln.
Lägg märke till att batteriet ej behöver tas
bort då strömmatningen varken laddar ur
eller upp batteriet.

POWER
IMPORTANT! If you are using the
phantom power, make sure the output
VOLUME is set to zero while plugging in
the amplifier cable. Since power is
attached to the stereo jack, the audible pop
at connection may cause damage to speak-
ers and other equipment.
VIKTIGT! Om du använder strömmat-
ningen, se till att VOLYMEN är nerdragen
när du kopplar in och ut kabeln till för-
stärkaren. Eftersom spänning ligger på
stereojacket, kan ljudet vid inkoppling
orsaka skador på högtalarelement och
annan utrustning.
A correct input gain is vital for the EBS-
MicroBass to work properly. This is
achieved by setting the appropriate piano
switches at the side to an accurate setting.
A correct setting would cause the peak
LED to flash at the very strongest peak
form the instrument. Refer to the following
diagrams for quick reference.
En korrekt gain inställning är förutsätt-
ningen för att EBS-MicroBass skall kunna
fungera korrekt. Rätt inställning ställs in
med piano-omkopplaren på sidan. En rätt
inställning medger att peak LED’en blin-
kar till vid starkaste utsignal från instru-
mentet. Se nedanstående figurer för snabb
referens.

The EBS-MicroBass incorporates the
feature of adding boost of desired fre-
quency band with the flick of a switch on
the piano-switch at the side. This EQ only
alters the input stage and does not affect
the filter section.
When adding boost, certain recalibration
of the input gain may be necessary.
Refer to the supplied diagrams for quick
reference.
EBS-MicroBass erbjuder möjligheten att
lägga till extra boost på valda frekvensom-
råden, med en enkel omkoppling på piano-
omkopplaren på sidan. Denna EQ påver-
kar inte filterdelen utan endast ingångsste-
get.
Viss justering av ingångs-gainen kan bli

The filter stage provides bass and treble
controls which can be configured to oper-
ate in one of two modes; standard boost/cut
or with the treble control also functioning
as a reversed damped midrange control.
This allowing quick access for rapidly
changing the sound.
In the center position the tone controls
give a flat frequency response without
effecting neither the low, middle or the
high frequency bands.
Filterdelen erbjuder bas och diskant-
kontroller som kan ställas in att arbeta i en
av två moder; vanlig förstärk-
ning/dämpning eller med diskant-
kontrollen också fungerande som en om-
vänd mellanregisterkontroll. Den senare
för att snabbt kunna ändra ljudkaraktär.
I mittposition ger tonkontrollerna en rak
frekvensgång utan att påverka bas, mellan
eller diskantregistren.
