Location ---- Placethe speakers ina stable location
so they willnot fall causingdamage to thespeakers or

Cleaning ---- Unplugthe speakers fromthe computer
and from theelectrical outlet beforecleaning them
with a dampcloth.
Lightning ----For addedprotection during lightning
storms, unplug thespeakers from theelectrical outlet
and turn off the computer.
Servicing is requiredwhen the apparatushas been
damaged in anyway,such as power-supplycord or
plug is damaged,liquid has beenspilled or objectshave
fallen into theapparatus, the apparatushas been
exposed to rainor moisture, doesnot operate normally,
or has beendropped. Refer allservicing to qualified
service personnel.

One Year LimitedWarranty
Edifier warrants tothe end userthat all ofits computer speakersystems are freefrom defects inmaterial and workmanshipin
the course ofnormal and reasonableuse for aterm of oneyear from thedate of purchase.
This warranty isthe exclusive andonly warranty ineffect relativeto Edifier multimediaspeaker systems andany other
warranties, either expressedor implied, areinvalid. Neither Edifiernor any authorizedEdifier reseller isresponsible for any
incidental damages incurredin the useof the speakers.(This limitation ofincidental or consequentialdamage is not
applicable where prohibited.)
Edifier obligation underthis warranty doesnot apply toany defect, malfunctionor failure asa result ofmisuse, abuse, improper
installation, use withfaulty or improperequipment or theuse of thespeaker systems withany equipment forwhich they werenot
intended.
The terms ofthis warranty applyonly to speakersystems when suchspeakers are returnedto the respectiveauthorized Edifier
reseller where theywere purchased.
Under the termsof this warrantythe original consumerpurchaser has certainlegal rights andmay have otherrights which vary

1.POSITIONING
If youhave the5.1 surroundsound inputthen youcan experiencethe fullperformance ofthis system.Youwill
have theindivedual outputsfor thesubwoofer,front stereo,rear stereoand frontcentre speakers.Position the
front stereospeakers infront ofthe listeningposition andan equaldistance tothe leftand rightsides. Ideallythe
speakers shouldbe aboutear height(whensitting tolisten)if possibleand slightlyaway froma rearwall butthey
can behooded ontoa wallif necessary. Ifthey areplaced ona slipperysurface, alittle blue-tackmay helphold
them inplace. Thesespeakers contributea lotto theoverall audioso carefulplacement iscrucial toyour
enjoyment ofthe music.
The centrespeaker shouldbe placedon yourTV screenor yourcomputer screen(dependingupon
application)as thisspeaker isused forvocal content.The voicesin amovie needto soundas thoughthey are
coming fromthe Tvset sotry positioningthis ontop ofthe set.
The rearspeakers areused forspecial effectsand arenot ascrucial intheir placement.Agood positionfor these
is highup onthe wallbehind thelistening position,perhaps pointingdownward alittle.
The subwooferhouses apowerful bassdriver andthe positioningof thisunit canhave aneffect onthe qualityof
the bass.If theunit isplaced ina corner, thebass willbe amplifiedby thereflection fromthe walls.This position
will givemaximum bassbut cansound quiteboomy.Aposition neara rearwall butaway fromthe corneris best
as thiswill givea littleboost tothe basswithout beingtoo much.Experiment withthe positionto achievebest
results.Also notethat theunit receivesthe signalsfrom theremote control.The rangeof transmissionfrom the
remote isnot toogreat sodon`t positionthe bassunit toofar fromthe listeningposition.
2.CONNECTING
(1).Switch offthe powerfirst beforeconnecting anypart ofthe system.
(2).Connect all5 satellitespeakers totheir relativespeaker outputspring clipson therear panelof the
subwoofer.Please noteto matchthe colour, redto redand blackto black.Note thatthe cablefor therear
speakers islonger thanthe front.
(3).Connect theinputs toyour PCor DVDplayer asshown infigure.
(4).Plug theACpower pluginto thewall outlet,as shownin figure.
