First connection steps
To start the 1111 module it must be connected to a 15 V socket via the coaxial power jacks or terminal
blocks located at the rear. The POWER LED will come on and the operating system will start to load for
1 or 2 minutes. When it has been loaded the SYSTEM STATUS LED will remain steady and the unit can
now be connected to a router or to your company network via the RJ45 connector, where a DHCP server
must be available. The network parameters will be automatically configured.
The unit publishes its IP address and name through NetBIOS (samba), so you can connect directly with
its name on a PC using any Ethernet or Internet explorer program.
NOTE: The other rear connections (AUDIO IN, AUDIO OUT, PIN IN, PIN OUT, RELAY IN and RELAY OUT)
will depend on the needs of each installation.

– Port: the 5004 must be used whenever possible so that the network switches/routers will be able to
correctly process the IP audio.
– PIN state publishing: it transmits to the network, the status of the PIN input of the unit to be able
to automatically control the client module outputs. There are 3 options: periodically transmit the
current status of the input (REMOTE), always transmit ON or always transmit OFF.
– RELAY state publishing: it transmits to the network, the status of the RELAY input of the unit to
be able to automatically control the client module outputs. There are 3 options: periodically transmit
the current status of the input (REMOTE), always transmit ON or always transmit OFF.
– Input gain: gain in dB that is analogically applied to the audio input before digitizing. The nominal
value is 6 dB. The nominal audio input is 1.2 VRMS for the XLR input and 3 VRMS with 7.5 V activation
of the PIN input. If the audio level is lower, gain must be applied correspondingly in order to reach
the nominal input value.
The final buttons are used to:
– Save: to configure the parameters without rebooting the service. The configured parameters will be
used the next time the unit starts.
– Save and apply: to configure the parameters and reboot the service. In the case of the server, the
unit must be rebooted completely and it will take another minute for the changes to take effect.

Client work mode
In this work mode the audio-link mode is used independently via the Audio OUT inputs (XLR OUT or
PIN OUT) or linked to a Millennium extension, through a zone module 1306 (XLR OUT).
The audio is streamed over the LAN from a device configured as server. Several clients can be
connected to the same audio channel.
The parameters are:
– Audio client (ON/OFF): to stop receiving the audio.
– Channel number: selected transmission channel between 1 and 10 (it will transmit in multicast address
239.192.0.X, where X is the channel number).

unit must be rebooted completely and it will take another minute for the changes to take effect.
– Revert: deletes the form and returns to previous initial values.
If the unit is used as a Millennium zone, it is recommended for the volume level of each zone to be configured
on the website, instead of on the 1306 zone module with the console. There are two reasons for this:
– If you reduce the output of the 1306, the audio input of your 1111 module will not use the entire
dynamic margin when digitizing, so the signal/noise ratio will get worse.
– As there is a possibility of several client modules being connected to one single server module this
permits configuring the volume separately in each client/amplifier zone.
Player work mode
The 1111 module includes a complete audio player, which enables you to listen to both local audio files
and audio streams from the Internet (Internet radios) or PC.
It has 3 work modes:
• Local audio file player with playlists, based on the Music Player Daemon (MPD) program.

– General volume: unit audio output level in %. The maximum nominal value is 88%. This is the
value for which an input at maximum nominal value would not be distorted. A higher value could
distort depending on the input level . 0% = -∞dB; 88% = 0 dB; 100% = +1.1 dB.
The MPD can be controlled from a mobile or PC by means of freely available MPD clients, such as:
– PC: Auremo
– Android: DroidMPD
– IOS: MPoD
In this work mode the 1111 unit plays or obtains the audio from the network independently, with the PC,
mobile or tablet acting as remote control. There can be more than one client controlling the MPD at the
same time, and any changes are automatically displayed in all the clients. The MPD client can
disconnect or switch off the mobile and the MPD will continue playing the configured playlist.
The DLNA/Airplay work mode is similar to audio Bluetooth but it operates via WiFi or Ethernet. The
contents are played by mobile or PC and sent to the unit. If a call is received by the mobile or if the
mobile leaves the area covered by WiFi, the audio will be lost. But remember that with this option
mobile or tablet battery consumption will be greater.
• Audio streaming playing, which permits:
– Playing radios over the Internet.
– Receiving corporate audio from an external streaming server.
– Receiving audio from a PC, sent with a streaming program such as VLC, Windows media player,
Icecast2, Jamcast, etc.
– Creating streaming with adverts and music, by programs such as Airtime.
• Playing audio from PC, tablet or mobile:
– Android/PC: DLNA.
– Apple/iTunes: AirPlay-compatible.
The parameters are:
– ON/OFF audio player: to stop playing audio.
– Player volume (%): volume at which the audio is heard on the players. It is separated from the general
volume and is based on a percentage over dB. 0% = -∞dB; 88% = 0 dB; 100% = +1.1 dB.
– Music player daemon parameters (MPD):
• Repeat playlist: the selected list will be repeated over and over again.
• Random play mode: the list will play audio files randomly.
• Automatic playlist: if this box is ticked, the selected playlist will be loaded every time the 1111
unit is turned on, and it will be played automatically in the established list order (AutoPlay).
• Playlist file: a playlist can be selected for automatic start, out of those available in the music
directory/playlists. Lists can be loaded directly from the PC into the file explorer or created with
an MPD client from PC, tablet or mobile. They must have M3U format.
• DLNA: ON/OFF. This plays the audio from a DLNA device, such as PC, tablet and mobile based
on Android or Windows. It does this through the MPD.
• Airplay: plays the audio from an Apple device, such as iPhone, iPad, MacOS, or from a PC with
iTunes. It is separated from the MPD, but it is advisable to stop the MPD before playing music
with Airplay.
– PIN output:
• ON: always active.
• OFF: always inactive.
– RELAY output:
• ON: always active.
• OFF: always inactive.

General priority configuration
Multicast priority configuration
There are 10 multicast channels available where these options should be configured.
The options are the same as required for setting up a PBX to allow multicast paging.
In each channel the following data are configured:
– Multicast address, 224.0.1.75 type.
– Multicast port.
– Codec used.
– Packet time.
– The latency allowed (this will depend on the overload of the network you are connected to).
15
To configure the priority between simple SIP VoIP calls, the analogue input (PIN IN or Relay IN + XLR
connector) and the audio player (MPD). Values of 0 to 12 can be selected, where 0 represents the
highest priority.
The analogue input to be selected between PIN IN or RELAY IN is configured in "Services Millennium IP".
Depending on the priority of the analogue input, you can configure a music input, which is interrupted
by IP messages (minimum priority) or an input from a local device (microphone, emergency system,...)
which must take priority and interrupt music or other calls (maximum priority).

Final Din-don: this is the audio that will be heard when the VoIP call ends.
To load files in ding-dong in the unit, search for the disc drive using the explorer:
"\\EGi-1111-0_ _ _\dindon" and load files in ".WAV" format or extension.
The password will be requested, by default:
User: egi

Sound mixer: VoIP volume
It serves to configure the audio level of all the IP servers, both the VoIP SIP call and the multicast. It is
in % and can reach 100% for maximum level.
– Revert: deletes the form and returns to previous initial values.
