Position and cleanthe cabinetasexplainedinthe

Beforeinserting thepowerplug intothe
outletand switching on the cabinetfor
thefirst time,leaveit standing upright
forabout30 minutes, or for4 hoursifit
wastransported horizontally. Otherwise
the compressormaysustain damage.

Using the freezerGB
To start thefreezerand set the
correct temperature
Turnthethermostatcontrol tothedesired position.

Temperatureinsidethefreezer
Toensurethatfoodstuff will keepforalong time, be
surethat thetemperatureinsidethefreezeris-18°C
orbelow.Pleasenote, however,that the energy
consumption increasesasthetemperaturedecreases.
Switching off
Turnthe controlanti-clockwisepast the click
position to”H”.
Unplug thepowersupply plug from thewall socket
or,alternatively, removethefuse.

Alarms and otherfeatures
Temperature alarm
Aredwarning lamplightsifit getswarmerthan
-12°C.Find outwhatcausedthe alarmand correct
thesituation. Thelamp goesoutwhenit becomes
colderthan-13°C.
Freezing
You need notpress thefast-freezing button when
freezing smallerquantitiesof food during any
24-hourperiod.
Inall othercases, press thefast-freezing button
approx. 24 hourspriorto placing thefood inthe
freezer.
Press thefast-freezing button toswitch off
fast-freezing againabout24 hoursafterplacing the
food inthefreezer.
Theyellowfast-freezing lampremainslit aslong as
thefast-freezing button isengaged.
Practicaladvice onfreezing
·Whenfreezing products, usethetop shelf,and if
necessarytheshelfbeneththat.
·Place thefoodsdirectlyonthefreezershelves.
·Spread out theproductsasmuchaspossibleto
allowairtocirculatebetweenthem.
·Do notplace food productswhichareto be
frozen directlyagainstother frozenfood.
Theheatfrom theunfrozenfood maycause
thefrozenfood tothawon thesurface.
·Once frozen, re-arrangetheproductsand put
themasclose aspossibletoeach other.
Thefood will thenstaycoldlongerinthe
eventofapower failure.
·Do notfreeze too muchfood at thesametime.
Thefreezing capacity oftheunit isindicatedin
thespecifications section.
Checkthat the cabinet isoperating and keeps
theset temperatureonedayafterswitching it
on forthefirst time.Onlyafterthenshouldthe
freezerbeusedtofreeze freshfoodstuff.
Suitable storageperiods
Food purchasedinfrozencondition:Followthe
advice on themaximumstorageperiod indicated on
thepackaging.
Food frozenathome:
Fattyand saltyfood should notbekeptfrozenfor
morethanthree months.Cookedfood and low-fat
food may bekeptup toaboutsixmonths.Leanfood
and berriescan bekeptforapproximately oneyear.

Thawing
It isbest to usethefridgetothawfood. Place the
foodstuff on aplatewitharaisededgeto prevent
liquidsfromrunning out.To quicklythawfood, put
it inroom temperatureorincoldwater.When using
amicrowaveoventothawfoodstuff,followthe
manufacturer’sinstructions.
Cabinetinterior
Freezer drawers
Thefreezerdrawersmakeit easyto quicklyand
easilyfind thefood packageyou want.To gain
space,thedrawerscan beremovedand theproducts
can beputdirectlyontheshelves.Onall shelves,
except thetop shelf,it ispossibleto place products
thatprotrude20 mm from thefrontedge.This
allowsmaximumuseofthe availablespace.
Do notremovethebottomdrawer.It isrequiredto
assureproperaircirculation.
Freezer tray
Usethefreezertraytofreeze berriesand vegetables.
Afterabout4 hoursthefood will bethoroughly
frozenand canthen bepackaged normally. Food
that isfrozeninthiswaywill notsticktogether,
enabling you to useonlythe amountrequired.
Ice cubes
Fill theice traytomax. 3/4since waterexpandsasit
freezes.Releasetheice cubesby twisting theice
tray.
If ice cubesarekeptforalong time,theywill dry
outand thetasteisaffected. Thus,throwaway old
ice cubesand preparenewoneswhen needed.
Removeableshelf
Thereisamiddleshelfinsidethefreezer.Remove
theshelfwhenlargefood productsneedto befrozen.

Saving energy
·Paycarefulattention towherethe cabinet is
placed. See thesection ”Installation”.When
installedcorrectly, the cabinetwill consumeless
energy.
·Trytoavoid keeping thedooropenforlong
periods, oropening thedoortofrequentlyas
warm
airwill enterthe cabinet,and causethe
compressortoswitch on unnecessarily often.
·Ensurethere areno obstructionsprevending the
door fromcloosing properly.
·Thawfrozenfood inthefridge.Thiswill ensure
saferdefrosting of foodsand reduce thework of
therefridgeration unit
·It isadvisableto periodicallycleanthe
refrigeration systemat theback ofthe appliance
withadusterorvacuumcleaner.
·Food whichisto befrozen(whencool)should
beplacedinthefridgebeforebeing transferedto
thefreezer.
·Avoid unnecessaryfrosting inthe cabinetby
packing all foodstuffsintoairtightpackages

Removing the ventilation grille
Theventilation grille can beremoved, e.g. towash
thegrille.

Cleaning
Cleanthe cabinetatregularintervals.
Do ntusedetergents,abrasivepowers, high
perfumedcleaning products,wax polishes
orcleaning productscontaining bleach or
alcoholwhencleaning theproduct
Discconnect the appliance fromelectricitysupply.
InternalCleaning
Cleantheinside and accossorieswithwarmwather
and bicarbonateofsoda(5ml to 0,5 literwater) Rise
and drythoroughly.
Regularlycheckthedoorsealsand wipe cleanto
ensurtheyare cleanand free fromdebris.
ExternalCleaning
Washtheoutercabinetwithwarmsopy water.
Removetheventilation grille(see thesection
”Removing theventilation grille”)and vacuum-clean
underthe cabinet.Twiceayearpull out the cabinet
from thewall and vacuum-cleanthebacksideofthe
cabinet,therefrigerating systemand the compressor.
Whenmoving the cabinet,lift it by the
frontedgetoavoidscratching thefloor.
Defrosting thefreezer
Acertainamountof frostwill alwaysformon the
freezershelvesand around thetop compartment.
Defrost thefreezerwhenthefrost layer reachesa
thickness ofabout3-5mm.
Removethefreezerdrawersand place themon top
ofeach otherby turning every otherdraweronehalf
turn. Put insulating materialaround thedrawers,e.g.
blanketsornewspapers.
Thefrozen productscanalso bepackedclosely
togetherand bekept ina coldlocation, e.g. inthe
fridge.
Defrosting can be accelerated by placing bowlswith
hotwater (notboiling)insidethefreezer.
Takeout thedrainspoutand place it inthebottom
freezerdrawerwherewatercancollect.
Loosentheventilation grilletoenablethebowl tofit
underthedrainspout.
Carefullyscrapeoff theice whenit startstothaw.
Useawood orplasticscraper.Do notusesharp
objectsasthesemay damagetheinterior.
Whenall theice hasmelted, cleanand wipethe
cabinetdry, then pushthedrainspoutbackin place.
Switchonthe cabinetand replace thefrozen
foodstuff.
Neveruseahairdrierorotherheating appliances
tospeed up defrosting. Excessiveheat may dam-
agetheplasticinterior,and humiditycouldenter
the electric appliance making it live.

To ChangetheLightBulb
Thelight is switchedonautomaticallywhenthe
doorisopened. Beforereplacing thelightbulb,
disconnect thepowerplug from theoutlet.
Press thespring togetherand pushthegrille
downwardat thesametime.
Useabulb ofthesametype,E14 socket,maximum
rating of25 W.
Something NotWorking GB

pulsing sound isheardwhencoolant ispumpedinsidethe
cooling pipes.Aticking sound from thethermostatcan be
heardwhenthe compressorswitcheson and off.Thesound
levelvariesdepending on theoperation ofthe cabinet.
If you feel thesound level isincorrect:
Makesurethepipesat theback ofthe cabinetnot toucheach
other.Carefully bend them ifthey do.
If the cushion spacers(betweenthe cabinetwall and pipes)
comeloose, put thembackin place again.
Carefullyfollowtheinstructionsinthe chapter”Installing the
cabinet”.
Power failure Do notunnecessarily openthe cabinet,exceptwhenthepower
outageseemsto belong, inwhichcasethefood products
should bemovedtoanothercabinet thatworks.Incasethe
frozen productsarestill hardfollowing thepoweroutage,they
may beimmediatelyrefrozen. If thefood productshavethawed
butstill arefreshand smellsalright,theymay beused,
howevertheyshould beprepared beforere-freezing oreating
them.

Removethetransportsupporton theglass shelfby
pushing thesupportforwardalong the edgeofthe
shelfuntil it stopsat theprotuberance oftheshelf.
Takehold oftherearedgeoftheglass shelfand pull
theshelfand transportsupportforward until the
shelftiltsand thetransportsupportcan beremoved.
Somemodelsarefittedwithasilencing pad under
the cabinet.Do notremovethispad.
Cleaning
Washtheinsideofthe cabinetusing lukewarm
water,amildwashing-up detergentand asoftcloth.
Installing the cabinet
To otainthebestperformance from the cabinet,ensure
:
·the cabinet isplacedinadry, coolplace and
isnotexposedto directsunlight.
·the cabinet isnotplacedclosetoasource of
heat,e.g. a cookerordishwasher.
·theroom inwhichthe cabinet isplaced
hasatemperatureof+16°Cto+32°C.
·the cabinet islevel.The cabinetshould not lean
againstany wall.If necessaryadjust the
feetusing thesuppliedadjustmentspanner.
·thereisgood aircirculation around the cabinet
and that the airchannelsbelowand behind
the cabinetarenotblocked. Theventilation
space abovethe cabinetand any
grocery/top cabinet mustbe at least200 cm@.
Theventilation space caneitherbe
a)directlyabovethe cabinet, or
b)behind and abovethetop cabinet.Inthiscase,
thespace behind the cabinet mustbe at least
50 mm deep.
If the cabinet isplacedina cornerand thesidewith
thehingesfacesthewall,thedistance betweenthe
wall and the cabinet mustbe at least10 mm toallow
thedoorto openenough sothat thebasketscan be
removed.

DoorReversal
1. Closethe cabinetand pull out theplug from the
electricaloutlet.
2. Removetheventilation grille.Thereisaparton
thegrillethatcan beremoved. Removeit and put it
on theotherside.
3. Put the cabineton awooden boardwhenit islaid
down. Later,whenraising the cabinet,it will be
easierto grip underthe cabinet thankstotheboard.
4. Ontheupperpartofthe cabinet.Put thehingepin
on theotherside.
5. Onthelowerpartofthe cabinet.Unscrewthe
hinge.Movethehingepinand plastic cover.Secure
thehingeon theotherside.
6. Raisethe cabinetand replace theventilation grille.
7. Unscrewthehandle.Carefully press intheplastic
plugson theoppositesideusing adrift.Securethe
handleintheplug holes.Then press thesupplied
plasticplugsintotheholestowhichthehandlewas
previouslyfitted.
8. Put the cabinet in position. Checkthatitstands
straight.See thesection ”Positioning the cabinet”.
