Maintenance & Cleaning
enance & Cleaning
Before any maintenance of cleaning work is
carried out DISC NNECT the appliance from
the ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories with war water and
bicarbonate of soda (5 l to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse
and dry thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfu ed cleaning products, wax
polishes or cleaning products containing

External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with war soapy water.
Once or twice a year dust the condenser (black grille)
and the co pressor at the back of the appliance with
a brush or vacuu cleaner, as an accu ulation of dust
will affect the perfor ance of the appliance and cause
excessive electricity consu ption.
Defrosting
The refrigerator auto atically defrosts every ti e the
co pressor stops. The water is discharged, via the
pipe, into a tray located below the appliance, where it
evaporates.
Important
To avoid defrost water overflowing into the fridge,
periodically clean the water discharge hole in the
centre of the V shaped drip collector at the back of
the refrigerator co part ent behind the salad
drawer(s). Use the special cleaner provided which
you will find already inserted into the discharge hole.
While in operation the ****-star co part ent beco es
progressively covered with frost.
This frost, which acts as an insulator and thus prevents
the cold fro reaching the food should be re oved
whenever the thickness of the frost exceeds 6
(1/4).
10
To carry out co plete defrosting proceed as follows:
1. Re ove any food fro inside the ****-star
co part ent, wrap it in several sheets of

thoroughly.
Turn the ther ostat knob to a ediu position to
restart the appliance.
After letting the appliance run for at least half an
hour replace the previously re oved food into the
**** -star co part ent.
When defrosting it is not necessary to re ove the
foods fro the inner door and the refrigerator
co part ent.
Important
A te perature rise of the frozen food packs during
defrosting ay shorten their storage life.
Never use sharp etal tools to scrape off frost fro
the evaporator as you could da age it beyond
repair.
Changing the ight Bulb
Should the light fail to work you can change it as
below:
Disconnect the appliance fro the electricity supply.
Re ove the la p cover retaining screws, then take
the la p cover off in the direction of the arrow and the
