X Axis Scale mounting instructions
1. Clean the back side of the saddle of machine where the X axis scale is
to be fitted.
2. The best location for mounting the scale is as near to the centre line of
the slide, or as close to the guide-ways of the machine as possible.
3. Mount the scale and the reader head as per the tolerances given
above. The mounting should be as shown in the figure below.

4. Mount the middle support provided with the scale. The scale should be
supported by the middle support after every 500mm.
5. Mount the stopper at the end of the travel using a M6 X 60mm Allen
(Hex) screw provided.
6. Move the slide over the full machine travel carefully to make sure that
full machine travel is obtained. Do not over travel as it may damage the
scale.
7. Mount the scale cover supplied with the scale as shown in the figure
below.

8. Clamp the cables with the cable ties provided so they do not come in
between the machine moving parts.
Z Axis Scale mounting instructions
1. Clean the right side of the saddle of machine where the Z Axis scale is
to be fitted.
2. Mount the scale using the brackets as shown in the figure. Tolerances
should be maintained as given above.

3. Mount the reader head using the brackets as shown in figure (). Ensure
mounting tolerances as mentioned above.

system calibration.
