TIPS
SIZE
• Cut large pieces of food into smaller even sized pieces. This should be about
• ½ -1 inch. Doing so will allow for a more consistent and smooth chop.
• To make cracker, cookie, or bread crumbs, break them into pieces before
placing them into the food chopper.
• Cut vegetables into 1 inch pieces before processing them.
QUANTITY
• Do not overload food into the bowl. Overloading will cause inconsistent results
and will strain the motor.
• For liquid ingredients, place a maximum volume of 2/³measured at center
hub when ling the bowl. After processing food, ensure that the food does not
reach past 2/³measured at the center hub.
REMOVING FOOD FROM THE SIDES OF THE BOWL
• Occasionally food will stick to the sides of the bowl during operation.
• Once the blades have stopped moving, remove the cover and use a spatula to
scrape the food off the sides.
• Never put hands into the bowl unless the unit is unplugged.
• CAUTIONS: The blade is very sharp! Do not touch blades directly. Use center
hub at all times. Handle with care.
ADDING LIQUID
• While the unit is running, you may add liquids such as water, oil, or liquid
avorings.
• To do so, pour your desired liquid into the oil dispenser on the top cover.
GENERAL
• For better processing control, use PULSE function.
• Because of the powerful motor of this unit, use one hand to support the unit
during operation.
• Use the ON/OFF function for chopping, pureeing, and
mixing. This is great for chopping softer foods such as herbs, softer vegetables
and cheeses. It is also great for pureeing cooked fruit or vegetables or to make
bases for soups and sauces.
• You can also use the food chopper to grind spices as well as chopping hard
foods such as seeds and nuts.
• When operating the unit for more than 10 seconds, use the PULSE function.
This allows the food to drop to the bottom and mix more consistently.
• Never operate the unit continuously for longer one minute at a time.
• Over time, the bowl and cover may become worn and scratched. This does not
adversely affect how well the unit works.
