HOW TO USE
HOW TO MAKE WAFFLES
1. With the Wafe Plates installed, ensure the unit is on a
at, stable & heat resistant surface. Close the cover and
plug the unit into a 120V AC outlet. The red indicator light
will illuminate. The red indicator light will remain on until
the unit has reached cooking temperature. Thereafter,
it will cycle on and off as the unit maintains the correct
temperature.
2. When the unit has preheated, and the red indicator light
goes out, you are ready to cook.
3. Open the lid and pour 1/3 to 1/2 cup of batter into the
center of the lower Wafe Plate. Close the Cover. DO NOT
LOCK THE HANDLE LOCK DURING COOKING. Locking the
handle lock will prevent the wafes from rising.
4. The wafes take approximately 4 minutes or until there is
no more steam escaping. Do not open the Wafe Maker
during the rst 3 minutes of cooking.
5. When the wafes are cooked, carefully open the wafe
maker and remove them, making sure never to touch the
cooking surface with sharp, pointed or metal objects. This
could damage the non-stick surface. To remove wafes, use
heat resistant plastic or wood utensils.
NOTE:
When your wafe
maker is heated for
the rst time, it may
emit slight smoke or
odor. This is normal
with many heating
appliances and does
not affect the safety of
your appliance.
However, it may
affect the avor of
the rst set of wafes
prepared in your
wafe maker, and it
is recommended to
discard these.
All parts of the unit,
except the handle, will
be very hot during
and after cooking. Do
not touch any parts
of the unit, except the
handle, until the unit
has cooled.
ALWAYS use
protective, heat
resistant gloves or
mitts when opening
and closing the unit to
avoid steam or other
burns.
-
-
WAFFLE BAKING TIPS:
1. Do not over mix the batter or wafes will be tough. Stir
batter only until large lumps of dry ingredients disappear.
2. The optimal amount of batter to produce a full-shaped
wafe, without overowing, will vary with different wafe
batters. Pouring batter from a measuring cup will help you
gauge how much batter to use each time. Fill bottom grid
of wafe maker with enough batter to cover peak areas of
the grid about ¾ to 1 cup.
3. For more evenly shaped wafes, spread thick batters to
outer edge of grid, using a heat proof rubber spatula or
other non-metallic utensil before closing the lid.
4. Wafes can be baked and frozen for future consumption.
Prepare according to the recipe and cool on a rack for
approximately 10 minutes. Store in your freezer for up to 2
weeks.
5. Wafes can be heated by toasting in a toaster or toaster
oven.
6. Unused batter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3
days.
7. NEVER lock the handle lock during the cooking process
