cause trouble or accident in a long run although no immediate trouble occurs.
- Store the electro stimulator at a place free from a wet areas and water. Avoid
installing in places subject to humidity, high temperature, dust or places exposed
to direct sunbeam or near to sources of high electromagnetic emission: The sti-
mulator must be used free and not wrapped or covered.
- Do not use thinner, gasoline, kerosene, cleaning powder or chemicals; for clea-
ning the machine and the cables, it is sufficient a soft duster lightly humid.
- After a long period of no use, it is advisable to check the correct working of the
stimulator and of the battery. (Contact authorized centres).

above all those used for support of vital functions.
Maintenance and use of electrodes and cables
Before placing the electrodes on your body, be sure to always wash and dry the skin
in order to ensure good conductivity.
After the use of the reusable mono-user electrodes, store them in the apposite seat
and insert in a plastic bag cleaned and closed.
Check that there is no contact or overlapping among the electrodes.
The electrodes can be used for 25/30 applications.
If the electrodes loose their conductivity and adhesion, they could be old and need
replacement
In case of use of electrodes not adhesive, it is advisable to clean the surface with
water.
Use only the electrodes recommended by the supplier.
Be sure that the cables and electrodes are cleaned before any application.
In case of cable deterioration, replace them with original spare parts.

BATTERY RECHARGEMENT
15
How to charge the battery
The stimulator is supplied together with a rechargeable battery. The batteries are
Nickel Metal hydrate type with peak effi-
ciency without memory effect. When the
battery indicator lights up on the display it
is advisable to recharge the batteries.
Shut off the stimulator and the electrodes;
connect it to the supplied charger (Globus
MA 075D015CE), inserting the plug in the
special outlet (see the side figure). The LED
on the charger is lit when the connection is correctly executed. The first recharge
must be absolutely complete and it has not to be stopped for any reason. A com-
plete recharge takes about 10 hours; should the stimulator accidentally stay con-
nected for longer than (72 hours) the battery will not be damaged.
Only use the charger supplied with the stimulator. Battery should only be replaced
by an authorized centre.
Attention
Do not use a charger different from that supplied with the stimulator.
During the charger the stimulator MUST NOT be connected to the electrodes.
If the charger is connected with the stimulator switched on, it will automatically
switch off.
Should the cable or connector show signs of wear and tear you should replace it
immediately.
