Betta Bowl & Planter
QUICK SETUP GUIDE

ASSEMBLY
Check to make sure none of the kit components are
damaged before setup. If damaged parts are discovered
call 1-855-ELIVE18 or email eliv[email protected]
for customer support. Do not return the product directly
to the retail store.
Install 3 AA batteries to power
the LED light See Figure 1.
Alternatively, there is a mini-USB plug in the base that
can power the unit using the appropriate 5V adaptor
cable. When using an adaptor cable, always use a drip
loop for safety. See Figure 2.
PREPARING THE
PLANTER
The planter may be used for live or artificial plants,
or it can be used as a desktop organizer by installing
Part E onto the top of the planter.
Select your plant and
planting media
See Plant Suggestions for recommended species.
Place the plant in the planter
Cover the roots with planting media. The planting
media may depend on the type of plant, but aquariuim
gravel, decorative marbles, or organic potting soils are
suggested. See Figure 3.
When using soil
An added thin layer of gravel to the bottom
of the planter is recommended to aid in drainage.
PREPARING
THE FISH BOWL
Decorate the fish bowl
Rinse aquarium gravel, marbles, and any other décor
with cold water before adding to the fish bowl.
Fill the fish bowl
with dechlorinated,
room temperature water
Do not fill the bowl all the way. Leave at least
a 1/2 inch gap between the water’s surface and
the top of the bowl. See Figure 4.
The LED light includes
a built-in 4 hour timer
Press the power button once to turn the LEDs on
and they will stay on for 4 hours before turning off.
This feature helps to conserve battery life and can
be used as a nightlight.
The setup is now complete
Add one betta fish to the bowl. The Betta Bowl
and Planter is intended for one betta fish.

What the Warranty Covers
Elive LLC (Company) warrants this Elive product
(see exclusions below) to the original purchaser against
defective material and workmanship that occurs during
normal in-home use for 90 days from the original
purchase date. Company will, at Company’s option,
either repair or replace same without charge (but no
cash refunds will be made). This warranty is limited
to replacement or repair of product only and does not
cover loss of aquarium life, personal injury, property
loss, or damage arising from the use of the product.
Exclusions:
1. Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse,
lack of reasonable care, subjecting the product
any but the specified electrical service, other
than normal or ordinary use of the product,
subjecting the product to abnormal working
conditions or any other failure not resulting from
defects in materials or workmanship.
2. Damage resulting from modification, tampering
with, or attempted repair by anyone other than
the Company.
3. Transfer of product to someone other than the
original consumer purchaser.

You must pay any postage, shipping charges,
insurance costs and other expenses to return the
product along with the original cash register receipt
to Elive LLC. However, if the necessary repairs are
covered by the warranty, Company will pay the return
shipping charges to any destination within the United
States or Canada.
Limitation of implied warranties and exclusion
of certain damages:
The Company disclaims liability for incidental and
consequential damages for breach of any express or
implied warranty, including any implied warranty of
merchantability, with respect to this product. This
writing constitutes the entire agreement of the parties
with respect to the subject matter hereof: no waiver
or amendment shall be valid unless in writing signed
by the Company. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of consequential damages,
so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply
to you.

INSTRUCTIONS
Suggested Fish and Care
This kit is intended for betta fish. Other fish species
may require aeration, filtration, or a larger aquarium
to be properly maintained.
FISH CARE
MAINTENANCE
Feeding
Use food only intended for betta fish. Feed 2 to 5
pellets once daily, as much as the fish will consume
in 2 to 3 minutes.
Water Changes
Change no more than 50% of the water once weekly.
Use an Elive Betta Aquarium Siphon to easily remove
water from the fish bowl. Make sure that the new
water being used is dechlorinated and the water
temperature matches that of the water in the bowl.
Do not clean the bowl or decorations with soaps
or detergents.
Suggested Plants and Care*
* Make sure to research which types of houseplants may be toxic. It is
important to keep these plants out of reach of children and other pets.
PLANT CARE
MAINTENANCE
Place your Betta Bowl & Planter in an area where your
plant will get adequate lighting, depending on the
plant type. It is best to keep the fish bowl out of
intense direct sunlight.

Plant Watering Instructions
Important: Empty the water basin before watering.
Water the plant with no more than 1/3 cup of water
at a time and pour the water into the planter slowly
to prevent overflowing. Watering fequency will vary
depending on humidity and plant species.
