5 Upkeep of the Machine
The appliance should be cleaned once a week. To allow easy
cleaning of the machine, the cover on the polishing area can be
removed. To do this, the two captive screws on the top left-
hand side of the cover must be loosed. The cover can now
easily be removed. The machine and the inside of the cover
should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. If they are very dirty,
a mild cleaning agent can additionally be used. When it is being
re-installed, the cover should be fitted on the casing and
screwed tight with the captive bolts/screws.
If the output of the extractor decreases markedly, the filter mat
must be changed. The filter is to be found in the filter drawer on
the front right-hand side of the machine. To change the filter
mat, the two screws are each turned a quarter rotation to the
left and the filter drawer is pulled forward out of the machine.
The old filter should be removed and the new filter inserted with
the printed side down. By emptying the gauze filter that is
located under the polishing wheel, gross detritus such as brush
hairs, etc., can be removed.
Filter met information: the filter mat in use is a fine filter and is
extremely well suited to screen out dust arising from the
polishing process. The surface is adhesive with a degree of
separation of 97% in accordance with DIN 24 185.
This filter mat is not washable.
When the polishing wheel is being changed, the equipment
should be switched off and the plug removed.
The polishing engine does not require any attendance.
For your own safety, we recommend that you check the mains
cable and the mains connection jack at the unit for damage at
regular intervals.
There are no fuses in the machine.
In case of technical faults please contact your supplier or the
