The operation
is assimple
asthe operationwith the conventional
projectors
andthe Xenon-arclampON/OFF
can
be done
by just simple
switching. Only onedifferent
pointin operationisthattheXenon-arc
lamp
must
be
turned on before startingfilm run. Thanksto the safety
shutterinterlocked
with film transportation
andthe
specially-designed
reflector
incorporated
into thelampsystem,
thefilm will be
neverdamaged
by heat.
To operate
theprojectorin mosteffective
way,
please
readthroughthisinstruction
manual.
Thefollowing
precaution
mustbe
faithfully exercised.
I. Avoid exerting
shock
againstthe projection
lamp. Thebulb of theXenon-arclampishighlypressured.
Parti-
cularly,
when
it ison,theinterior
pressure
isfurtherraised,and,therefore,noshockor impact
shouldbe
given
to thelamp.
2. Do not allow excessive
electric
current
otherthan the specified
oneto the lamp. Thelamp
current
isalways
kept constant
sothat no cunent fluctuationoccurs
whiletheoperationisunderway. Thelampcircuitis
pre-
adjustedto the normal current setupat factory. If the currentadjustmentisnecessitated
by all means
for
good reason,
adjustthe currentlevelby turningthe rod in thelampcurrentadjustinghole. Don't raise
the
level
of thelampcurrent
beyond
theredmarkon the lampammeter.
3. Whenthe Xenon-arclamp istumed on, ahighvoltageof some30,000Visapplied.Thelampignition
circuit
is safety-proofed;it is so arrangedthat no current is admittedif the lamphouse
coveris removed. Don't
remove
the safety
switchnor tamperthe safetycircuit. Any troubleor accidentattributedto tamperingof
thiscircuitby unauthorized
person
will exemptusfrdm any
obligation
orresponsibility.
4. Don't insertmetalpiece
or the like into theopenings
intheprojector
norpeep
into theprojector
throughthe
openings.
