Purotapcansimplybedisposedofinthehouseholdwaste.Ifyoureturnthecartridgetous,we
will recycle it in an environmentally friendly process. A freepost label is included in the packa-
ging.
Theion-exchangeresincontainedinthecartridgemustnot get into the heating system.Before
use,checkthefinefiltersinbothcartridgeconnectors.
As a result of deionisation, the conditioned water contains carbon dioxide and is temporarily
slightlyacidic(pHvalue5-6).Thisiswhyyoumustfirstfillthesystemwithuntreatedwaterbefore
usingPurotap.
To drive out any gases dissolved in the system water, it helps to run the system up to operating
temperatureforashorttime.Werecommendcheckingthequality(oratleastthepHvalue)ofthe
systemwateraftertheheatinghasbeenrunningforabout1month.

Themaximumcapacityvarieswithwaterhardness.
Even partial replenishment with filtered water is effective
againstcorrosionandlimescale.Thediagramshowsthe
practicallimitsofuse.
Purotapcanonlybeusedonce.Evenifitsmaximumcapa-
city is not used up in one go, the effectiveness tails off
towardstheendofthefilltime.Itisnotpossible touse up
any residual capacity without suitable measuring instru-
ments.
Purotapactivelycombatsdamagetoheatingsystemsbyfilteringthefillwaterofsubstancesthat
causelimescaleandcorrosion.
Purotapdoesnotreleaseanychemicalsintothewater.
