5 Product connection
Connect the product in accordance with this manual and valid regulation. To connect the product
inputs and outputs use high-quality 75 Ω coaxial cable designed for satellite (or terrestrial)
reception. The coaxial cables shall not be broken, the minimum bending radius shall be 5 cm.
Mount the F connectors on the ends of cables. You can use screw, crimp or compress types of
connectors. Connect the cables into the F sockets of product and fasten them with an appropriate
force.
•interconnect F socket marked IN with output of multiswitch
•interconnect F socket marked OUT with input of satellite receiver.
•
interconnect chosen cinch socket with output DC 0/12 V of satellite receiver (G1/1 CN-1
only).
The wiring examples are shown in the section 10 Wiring diagrams or at the website www.emp-
centauri.eu.
6 Product settings
Generator generates at F socket marked IN analog commands + commands DiS qC 1.0,
depending on voltage at cinch sockets (G1/1 CN-1) or on position of switches (G1/1 CNman-1).
voltage at cinch socket, position of switch command at F socket marked IN
cinch socket 1 (0/12 V), switch 1 (OFF/ON) 0 00 38 F0/1 + 0/22 kHz (low/high band)
cinch socket 2 (0/12 V), switch 2 (OFF/ON) 0 00 38 F0/2 (vertical/horizontal polarization)
cinch socket 3 (0/12 V), switch 3 (OFF/ON) 0 00 38 F0/4 + tone burst 0/1 (“position” 0/1)
cinch socket 4 (0/12 V), switch 4 (OFF/ON) 0 00 38 F0/8 (“option” 0/1)
Generator repeats commands received from F socket marked OUT to F sockets marked IN. Final
command at F sockets marked IN is result of “OR” function of command at F socket marked OUT
and command generated by generator. In addition to commands DiS qC 1.0 are added analog
commands (except polarization), in addition to analog commands are added commands DiS qC 1.0.
