RECESS EXTENSION
RISER INSTALLATION P/N 3935AX6, 3920AX6
Components Equipment Required
3 - 1/2" Sch 40 pipe Silicone Sealant Level
3 - 1/2" Sch 40 couplings Hammer Screwdriver
2 - L Shaped extension components Pliers Saw
11 - 1 1/4" screws Nail Punch Pencil
Preparing the Endura Tank to Accommodate the Extension
Disengage the Quick Connect latches and remove the lid from the tank.
With a hammer and a punch,
disengage the dowel pin from the tank.
Using a pair of pliers, remove the
dowel pin. Repeat this procedure for all
of the pins housed in the tank.
1Insert the tank into the excavated hole
and locate the pipe connections to the
desired height.
2Level the tank into its final position and
secure to the piping.

Assembly of the Extension
Apply a generous bead of silicone to
the tongue and groove channel on the
ends of the extension components.
4Mate the stem of the extension
component into the tongue and
groove channel.

With the extension assembly resting on
a flat surface, install the Endura lid on
the assembly. Press down on the lid

Attaching the Extension to the Endura Tank
If the extension is too high, determine
the extension distance that needs to
be shortened.

If the assembly is too high, cut the
extension to the required height.
8Apply a generous bead of silicone to
center of the flange on the tank. Insert
the extension assembly in the center
channel on the top of the Endura Tank.

Ensure the extension is firmly seated in
the flange of the tank. Determine if the
extension needs to be shortened.
Note: A new line will need to be scribed
from the top of the tank.

Measure the distance to the top of the
tank. For the 3920AX-6, Subtract 3/8".
For the 3950AX-6 subtract 5/8". Cut the
Sch 40 pipe to the required height.
12 In the screw housing provided on the
baffle, secure the baffle to the pipe.

Multiple Extensions
The Endura Extension Risers were designed to be nested on top of one another. In the event that an installation
is deeper than 6", follow the procedure listed above and nest the extension riser into the flange of the first extension.
Press down on the lid and push the
components together. Ensure the
extension is firmly seated into the flange
of the tank.
10 With the 1" screws provided, insert the
screws through the existing dowel holes
on the tank and secure the extension to
the tank.

Securing the baffle enables the user to
use the Sch 40 as a handle to remove
the baffles for maintenance.
For the 3920AX-6, subtract 3/8".
For the 3950AX-6, subtract 1/2".
14 Solvent weld the 1/2" coupling
provided to the top of the pipe.
15 Finish the floor.
