This lighting flash arrow symbol in a triangle is intended to alert users to
the presence of non-insulated high voltage within the product’s enclosure
that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock
to person
The exclamation point symbol in a triangle is intended to alert users to
the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the
literature accompanying the unit
The marking of products using lasers. The marking will be shown at the
rear panel of the unit, means the unit have been classified as Class 1,
and are utilizing laser beams that are of weaker class. There is no
danger of hazardous radiation outside the unit

IMPORTANCE
Read through this instruction manual before installation and use.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hand.
When disconnecting the power cord from the power outlet, hold the plug, do not pull the wire.
Switch off the main power when the unit is not in use. (Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet
when you do not intend to use the unit for a prolonged period of time.)
Before moving the unit, remove the disc from the unit’s tray first.
Do not open the cover or touch any of the components inside the unit.
Do not install or operate the unit direct exposed to sunlight or nearby objects radiating heat that may lead to
overheat and dangerous to the unit.
Do not install or operate the unit to moisture or humidity that may affect the laser head.
Install the unit on flat surface with good air circulation. Do not cover the ventilation holes on the unit by
any kind. Otherwise, the unit would possibly overheat and malfunction.
Wipe the panel and case with soft dry cloth only. Do not apply any kind of thinner, alcohol or sprays when
the cleaning of the unit.

2. SELECT A DVD DISC
DVD discs and DVD players are manufactured under the worldwide agreed DVD Regional Code System that
the player will operate only with corresponding disc of the same Regional Code.

3. CARE OF DISC
Video disc contains high density compressed data that needs proper handling.
Hold the disc with fingers, holding the hole at center and the edge, do not touch the disc
surface.
Do not bend or press the disc, do not explore the disc to direct sunlight or heating source.
Store discs in cabinet, vertically, in dry condition, prevent moisture or humidity.
Clean the disc with soft dry cloth only, wipe gently, radically, from center to the edge. Do
not apply thinner, alcohol or sprays when cleaning.

REMARK
Some features of this unit are relating to the DVD disc’s software. Some
features of this unit cannot be preformed if the disc does not support
the features, or required special settings. Check the features of the disc
before playing it, or follow the instruction on screen menu of the disc.

PREPARATION
1. UNPACK THE UNIT
The standard packing contains the following items:
The DVD player unit.
Infra red remote controller
AV Cables
Two AAA batteries
User’s instruction manual
2. LOADING BATTERIES INTO THE REMOTE CONTROL
Remove the battery compartment cover.
Load two AAA batteries into the battery compartment.
Make sure that the batteries have been inserted in the right polarities matching to the symbols +, - as
indicated in the battery compartment.
When replacing batteries, replace both batteries. Do not mix new and used batteries operating together;
otherwise, the operation lifetime will be much shorter than normal.
Do not dispose batteries as normal rubbish. Be environment friendly, dispose batteries according to the
Government’s regulation.
Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the unit for a prolonged period of time.

GETTING START
Read through this instruction manual.
Unpack the unit.
Load batteries into the remote control.
Connect the unit, make sure the connections are correct.
Connect the power socket to wall outlet, power on the system.
Check the setting of the unit, TV and amplifier are correct and matching.
1. PLAY A DISC
Switch on the power
Switch on the main power switch on the unit’s front panel, and switch on the TV set, and the amplifier if
connected.
Set the system
Select the corresponding setting of the unit, TV set (AV or S-Video) and the amplifier, until the power on screen
shows.
Load a disc
Press the “OPEN” button on the front panel or on the remote control, to open the disc tray. Load a disc
into the tray and press the “OPEN” button again to close the disc tray. (Note: place the disc’s label side
up, blank side down. Prevent upside down)
Automatic Play
The unit will take several seconds to read the disc data, display the disc type logo at the left upper corner of the
TV screen, and start playing automatically.
(Normally, MP3 disc would take longer time to upload the data when loading)
If a Disc Menu displayed on the screen:
1. Press the
button to start playing, or
2. Press button on the remote control to select the desired item and then press ENTER button to
confirm.
Different kind of Disc Menu would be displayed on screen depending on the design and production of the disc.

If the above problem happened:
1. Set the TV set’s system to the proper setting, or
2. Change the DVD unit’s output system “TV Type” settings in ‘Preference’ of ‘General
Setup’ menu
If the above DO NOT fix the problem, see TROUBLESHOOTING or

The unit’s TV output color is selectable to
PAL
or
NTSC
IMPORTANT
If the TV set is NOT multi-system, and the following happened, it could be
a result of wrong color system matching with the TV set:
Picture is distorted
Picture is black and white, no color.
Picture is not full screen, or border part of picture bas been blocked.

3. GENERAL SETUP
1. Pressing the SETUP button on remote control during STOP or PLAY mode to SETUP MENU.
2. Using Cursor to select GENERAL SETUP. Press ENTER to enter GENERAL SETUP page.
TV DISPLAY
Using cursor to move to desired setting and
press ENTER to confirm.
NORMAL/PS – 4 x 3 Pan Scan
Full screen of picture on TV. Normally, left and
right edges cannot be shown.
NORMAL/LB – 4 x 3 Letter Box
Orginal ratio of aspect.
WIDE – 16 : 9 Widescreen
PIC MODE (PICTURE MODE)
( FOR PROGRESSIVE-SCAN MODEL )
ANGLE MARK
This feature is functioned only for the disc, which
has ANGLE function.
When the ANGLE MARK is set ON, the screen
displays the mark.
When the ANGLE MARK is set OFF, the mark is
not displayed.

5. AUDIO SETUP
OFF: Audio signal is out from AUDIO OUT (RCA) jacks.
SPDIF/RAW: The player is connected to a Dolby Digital amplifier through DIGITAL OUT Coaxial or
Optical jack.
SPDIF/PCM: The player is connected to a 2-channel digital mode or stereo amplifier through Coaxial
or Optical jack.
OP MODE
LINE OUT : Line out mode with digital dialog
normalization, compress input linear signal.
RF REMOD : RF remodulation mode with heavy
compression and digital dialog normalization.
DUAL MONO
Output mode of the L/R signals. Mix-mono can be
functioned only if the DVD is playing in 5.1 channel.
