SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS1.
To avoid electric-shock hazards, do
not open the cabinet, refer servicing to
qualified personnel only.
Keep the receiver away from liquids and
liquid containers such as vases in order
to avoid damaging the equipment.
Do not expose the receiver to direct
sunlight. Keep it away from heat sources.
Do not block ventilation holes of the
receiver so air can circulate freely.
When an abnormal phenomenon occurs
cut off the power immediately.
Do not touch the receiver during
electrical storms to avoid electric-shock
hazards.
Switch the receiver off whenever it
remains out of service for an extended
period.
Be sure to disconnect the AC power cord
before cleaning. To clean the surface
wipe clean with a cloth which has been
dipped in a weak soap-and-water solu-
tion and wrung out thoroughly, and then
wipe again with a dry cloth.

1. Standby on/off: Enters/exits standby mode.
2. Mute: Press to disable/enable audio output.
When the audio is disabled the following icon appears on screen:
0-9: While in TV/radio standard mode use the numeric keys to input the number3.

TV/RADIO: In standard mode, press to switch between TV and radio.4.
<-PR: Switch back and forth between the current and previous channels.5.

Press [2] to switch between the 3 panels.
- Up left: channel list.
- Up right: time, date, current and next programs.
- Down: scheduled programs of the channel selected at the up left panel.
Press [OK] to book a program (a heart icon notes booked programs).
Press [1] to show the booking list. At this list you can delete the programs you no
longer want to book.

Press [3] to view program details and [1] to switch between short and extended
descriptions.
MENU: Shows the main menu or steps back one menu if you are already browsing7.

PR+ PR-: When in standard mode use it to change to the previous or next channel.8.
While using menus or lists use to select the next or previous item.
9. (-vol) (+vol): When in standard mode use it to increase/decrease volume.
While using menus or lists use to select the left or right item.
OK/LIST: When in standard mode press to show the TV or radio list (see section10.
‘Main menu’ for details). In other contexts it is used to confirm selections.
EXIT: Return to the previous menu.11.

INFO: Shows information about the current program. Press it once to see first13.
information screen which includes channel, time, current and next program and
audio , subtitle and teletext availability data.
Press[INFO] again to display technical information and reception quality/intensity
of the current channel.
AUDIO: Choose audio mode and track (language). Also used as ‘red’ on Teletext.14.
TXT: Show the teletext screen (if available). Also used as ‘green’ on Teletext.15.
16. (subtitles): Choose subtitle display and language (if available). Also used as
‘yellow’ on Teletext.

PAUSE: Pause/resume the image (sound does not pause).18.
When the program is paused the following icon appears on screen:
MSM: Multi Screen Mosaic. Shows nine channels on screen and allows you to19.
browse them.
FAV: Favourites. Shows the groups that contain your favourite channels. If you20.
select one you will be limited to the channels contained in that group when
pressing [PR+] or [PR-].
PAL/NTSC: Switches between PAL and NTSC systems. A single press will show21.
the currently selected system.
TV/AV: Not used22.
UHF: Not used23.

MAIN MENU4.
Enter [Main Menu] by pressing ‘MENU’. The contents of the [Main Menu] and the next
level of menus are shown in the following diagram.

TV Channel List4.1.1.
Switch between Favorite Groups. Note that
only “Edit” and “Find” are available when a
Favorite Channel group is selected.
The currently selected channel is
shown in the preview frame.
You can sort the channels by:
name / free to air / locked

Radio channel list4.1.2.
The operation of this list is the same than [TV Channel List].
Delete all favorites4.1.3.
This erases the ‘Favorite’ attribute of the channels. Note that it will not erase the chan-
nel database or your customized Group names.
Delete all4.1.4.
After asking for password it erases the channel database so you will need to tune the
TV/radio channels again.
Group rename4.1.5.
Change the name of any favorite group with this function.
Tip: You can use a favorite group for each family member (e.g. James’ favorite chan-

nels, Sally’s, Jude’s, etc) or to sort them by content (e.g. News, Movies, Sports, ...)
INSTALLATION4.2.
Auto Scan4.2.1.
Scan mode: All (any channel), Free (only free to air channels).
This screen will show while the channel scan is in progress:
Manual search4.2.2.
There are two scan modes with different parameters (gray means not applicable):
Scan Mode by channel by frequency
Scan band UHF/VHF
Channel number <input>

Bandwidth 6/7/8 MHz
After you have selected the scan parameters press “Search”.

Antenna feeding4.2.3.
Turns on/off the power supply to the active antenna (note that your antenna may not
need feeding)

OSD language4.3.1.
Select your preferred language for the On Screen Display between: English, French,
Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, German, etc
TV System4.3.2.
Display Mode:
PAL: television standard used in Europe and other countries.
NTSC: television standard used in America and other countries.
AUTO: automatically detects the television standard used.
Aspect Ratio:
4:3 LB (Letterbox): fits a widescreen video preserving the original aspect ratio.
4:3 PS (Pan and scan): crops a widescreen video to a 4:3 screen.
16:9: no transformation is needed to watch widescreen video.
Video Output:
RGB (Red Green Blue): The color signal is separated in three components to improve

quality.
CVBS (composite video): Basic video signal supported by all TVs with SCART connector.
LCN Mode:
Turns On / Off Logical Channel Number.

Sets the countdown timer. When it expires the receiver will automatically shut down.

Default user password: 0000
Menu lock
Turns on/off password checking when accessing the Installation menu.
Channel lock
Turns on/off password checking when trying to watch a channel marked as ‘Locked’.
New password/Confirm password
Changes the user password and asks for confirmation to avoid mistakes.

Receiver information4.4.1.
Shows technical data about the receiver firmware and hardware.

Game4.4.2.
There are three fun games: Tetris, Snake and Othello.
Load factory default4.4.3.
After asking for password all the parameters of the device will reset to its default value.
Software upgrade4.4.4.
Upgrades the firmware. You should be careful with this option and use it only by
manufacturer’s advice.
