Introduction
ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) (DSU + Display) unit is a new version of ETS-DSU 2.1
Hardware PC & Parallel Printer interface, where display is interfaced with ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) on RS 485 internally. Display consists of 128X64 GLCD display and 4
programming keys, which are used for programming of different display parameters, ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) parameters and also to display the controller parameters. This display is
connected internally on same RS485 cable on which controllers are connected.

This key used for exit to the parameter setting.

Scroll the menu parameter
Increments numerical data for parameter setting.
To fast increment press key for 3 sec it will increment automatically by one, further pressing of key
will increment count by 10.

Scroll the menu parameter
Decrements numerical data for parameter setting.
To fast decrement press key for 3 sec it will decrement automatically by one, further pressing of key
will decrement count by 10.

Keypad Functions
1. ADMIN LOGIN
This is used to Access the various parameters of ETS-DSU G01A01(0202PPCT02). To Log
In go to Admin Login menu using “SEL” Key and enter ID NO 10 and password value as 1.
Now user will have access for setting parameters of ETS-DSU G01A01(0202PPCT02). To
log out just go to Admin Login menu once again and press “ENT” key. Program
automatically exit from Admin menu after 60 Sec (NOTE: If any key is not press within 60
sec during Program mode then you will exit from Program mode. To enter again program
mode you must Login by using Admin Login Menu)
User must enter the ID No 10 with help of “INC”key and “DEC” Key after then press
“ENT”Key. Then you enter Password “1”using same keys
For any incorrect ID or Password entered, ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) display
message “Admin Login Fail…” .If the ID and Password is correct then ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) display message “Admin Login OK”

2. DISPLAY MODE
Display Mode is used to select various display formats to display online data. User can use
increment and decrement key to select the display mode. Once display mode is set user can
press “ENT” key to set display mode in EEPROM. To exist this menu press “SEL” Key.
Type: 00000
If display mode is set to Type 00, the unit will display the data from the PID controller, of
which the ID is mentioned under controller Number.
Type: 00001
If display mode is set to Type 01, the unit will display the data from the number of PID
controllers, mentioned under controller Number.
3. CONTROLLER NO:
Same as mentioned under Display mode.
4. PRINT CONTROL
This Parameter function is used for different printer controlling action. Here users first enter
to parameter then scroll Sub-parameter content with the help of INC and DEC Key. If Printer
is not connected then user will get massage “Check Printer” on display, otherwise user get
display Sub-Parameter function. Select sub parameter with the help of increment key and
press Enter key, Pressing enter key twice will show message as “Select Function”. To exist
parameter mode press SEL Key.

4.1 Set Header Page For Print Start
This function is used to set the page header for printing. Printer Header is printed as a
beginning of the page.
4.2 Cancel Old Printing
This function is used to stop the previous pages under printing. (Normally shall be used if
Print Previous pages command is executed and needs to be cancelled).
4.3 Print Current Reading
This function is used to print the current values of controllers.
“* Printed Current” message will be displayed after activating the parameter.
To identify the print current data transaction “.” Dot will be printed after date and time of the
transaction.

4.4 Reset Page No
This function is used to reset Page No to 01.
4.5 Reset Print
This function is used to reset stored print data.
Warning: Please ensure before executing this function as it may result in losing the print data.
This print data can be available with Print Page Command. (PC data will still be available to
user.) “Print Data Deleted” remark and transaction will be stored in unit.
4.6 Reset All Memory.
Caution: This function will reset the memory and hence all process data stored in memory
will be lost, also the print memory can’t available with print page command.
To have ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) MEMORY Reset from ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) Display unit GOTO “Print Control” and Reset all memory by
selecting “Reset All Memory” Command and press ENTER. “Data will be lost” message will
follow. This is to warn for USER about confirming deleting of all data. If user presses
ENTER all data will be deleted, else not.

This window shows user to confirmation of Data deleting function. This is to be used help of
INC and DEC Key.
5. PRINT LAST PAGES
This function is used for sending command to ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit to
print old data from ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) transaction buffer. If you select value
as zero it will print all available transaction data from ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02)
transaction buffer. Value more than 0 indicates that how many old pages you want to print.
Once parameter is selected press enter key to print old pages.
Example: if parameter is 5 indicates that print 5 old pages data from current location.
If user select this command without connecting printer, then display shows the massage “Pl.
check Printer”
6. PRINT DATA DATE WISE
This is a unique feature provided by which User can Print Data for given date and time vise
If user entered date and time which does not have transaction for that date and time, then unit
will come out of that mode. In this command unit will search data into its memory while this
execution unit will not respond to any key, command and updated data.

If Printer is not connected then user can give this command, then display shows the massage
“Pl. Check Printer”. To exist Parameter mode press SEL Key.
In this function Data will be printed for that day only, after day change print data will come
to normal print mode.
7. PRINT INTERVAL
This function is used to set and display the poll time of ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02)
unit. Poll time is time at which ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit stores and prints the
transaction data of controllers. This time is in minutes. Use increment and decrement key to
set this parameter it ranges from 1 to 255 minutes. Zero time intervals will not get set it will
automatically set to 1 minute. Once required parameter is set user can press enter key to send
this parameter to ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit. To exist Parameter mode press
SEL Key.
8. PAGE LENGTH
This function is used to set and display the page length for printing in ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit. If page length is set to zero indicates that no page length set and
print data continuous. User can set page length from 1 to 255. Press enter key to send page
length to ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit. To exist Parameter mode press SEL Key.

This function is used to Set decimal point for appropriate channel in ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02)
Unit. Use increment/decrement key for selecting channel, after selecting channel press Enter
Key. Now used increment/decrement key for setting decimal point and save the setting.
User can set Decimal point up to 1 digit or no decimal point.
10.MEMORY USED STATUS
This function gives status about Memory Capacity Used by Print data and PC data out of its
corresponding total capacity.
ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) Displays Alarm Memory full % continuously whenever
ETS-DSU- G01A01(0202PPCT02) is ideal for more then10 seconds. (That is unit Key is not
pressed)
Also Alx LED of front panel Flashes. To exist Parameter mode press SEL Key.
11.ETS-DSU NUMBER
This function is used to Set the Device address from ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02)
display Unit. This feature will eliminate the need to use adcom.exe to set ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) address from PC. This address can be set from 1 to 16.

12.SETTING DATE TIME
Set time date is used to set and display the time and date of ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit. Time and date of display unit is set from ETS-DSU-
G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit once system is started. User can change the Time and Date in
ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit from display unit. User has to use increment key to
change the selected parameter of time and date. Decrement (next) key is used to shift location
of time and date parameter feeding. Once required time date is set user can press enter key so
that changed time date is send to ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) unit. To exist Parameter
mode press SEL Key. (Time and Date setting are configurable through PC software).
13.CONTRAST CONTROL
Here user can set Display Contrast as per the required to view.This parameter is help to set
view angle of ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02). For Better contrast view set this parameter
9-15 number.
14.MEM ALARM PROG
This command is implemented to program Alarm flashing indication to user. Select the
program by increment key & press Enter key to save.
There are four programs MODE:

1) PRINTER + PC PROG- This parameter gives alarm indication for Printer as well as for
PC memory full alarm. Any one memory above 70% will give alarm indication. Select
this menu when client using both PC & Printer interface.
2) NO ALARM- This parameter will disable the memory alarm indication.
3) PRINT MEM- This parameter gives alarm indication for Printer & disables the memory
alarm indication for PC. Select this parameter when only printer-interface in use.
4) PC MEM- This parameter gives alarm indication for PC & disables the memory alarm
indication for Printer. Select this parameter when only PC-interface in use.
15.SET STABILIZATION (Optional Factory setting)
This command is implemented to set MAJOR and MINOR STABILIZATION period in
minutes range from 0 to 255 minutes by increment or decrementing key.
After entering in “Set Stabiliz”mode we will be able to set period for Major and Minor
stabilization period in minutes by pressing up and down key. The Stabilization Period are
used for following purpose
1) Commissioning of Chamber
2) Maintenance of chamber
3) Door Open condition
4) Uncertain power failure
16.ALARM ACKNOWLED. (Optional Factory setting)
This command is implemented to select Alarm acknowledgment to user. Select the program
by incrementing or decrementing key & press Enter key to set.

17.PID SELECTION
This Menu is implemented to select PID from given selection of 3 PIDS. Select PID with
increment decrement key and press enter key to set.

On selection of desired PID, set value and process value of corresponding PID will be visible
on DSU.
There are three setting:
Temperatures Alarm
This parameter is used to acknowledge and disable Temperature Alarm
Enable Minor
Stabilization
This parameter is used to acknowledge alarm conditions for certain period
of time, which is set in Set Stabiliz parameter.
Enable Major
Stabilization
This parameter is used to acknowledge alarm conditions for certain period
of time, which is set in Set Stabiliz Parameter
After acknowledgement of any Alarm parameter temperature system will display “Done
acknowledgement”.
If temperature Alarm acknowledgement were already selected and user try to take
acknowledgment for the same then massage will be flash on display as “Already Ack.”If we
try to acknowledge temperature without alarm condition then it will show message as “Not
Applicable.”.
For stabilization mode if we select Major or Minor stabilization it will indicate on display at
the bottom toggling alternately with time and date. It will indicate type of stabilization mode
and period left in the stabilization mode
Note: For stabilization mode if we acknowledge stabilization (Major or Minor) for certain
period of time in such case if unit gets reset or power reset then stabilization mode will get
disable. So user need to again acknowledge the Stabilization Period.
In stabilization mode if we set period for 000minute then stabilization period will be for
infinity period means it will never get auto disable. Message on display will be type of
stabilization and time will be 00 which will not get decrement. Precaution should be taken
that in this period alarm generated or relay output will be disabled.

Those transactions are stored on User interface (Manual reset) using Enviro Keys.
Programmable Whole Memory Delete on user demand. Following transactions show all data
deleted by user with Time –Date & code 49.

d) Temperature alarm acknowledgement:
Following transaction shows Temperature alarm was acknowledged by the user manually.
Following remark will be print on the print copy.

No 1 indicate the alarm was generated on specified channel. Bracket value indicate hex value
for channel alarm condition (Exp: (01) for binary value “00000001”)
NOTE: This print remark function is disable by default (It is factory settable).
e) Stabilization alarm acknowledgement:
Following transaction shows Major and Minor Stabilization alarm were acknowledged by the
user manually.
Following remark will be print on the print copy when Major or Minor stabilization
acknowledged. Bracket value indicates Time period set for stabilization mode.

ETS-DSU-G01A01(0202PPCT02) Connection Details
1) Connect Pin No. 1 & 2 to PID -RS 485 interfaces (As per device configuration).
2) Connect Pin No. 4 & 5 to Converter (RS 485/422 to 232 converters) for PC interface
3) Give 12Vdc Power input to Pin No. 8 & 9.
9 =>+12V
8=> GND.
4) Connect Parallel printer interface Cable to Pin No. 14, 15, 17 & 18 as per color coding
shown in connection diagram.
5) Connect Alarm to pin no 10 and 11 for Temperature alarm.
Printer Connection Details
Printer Settings:
Printer with Parallel RS-232 Interface - Epson LX series.
1) RED +5V 2) ORNG Printer TX
4) BLK GND 3) BRWNPrinter RX
Dot indicates “Print Current Data” function was
used.
