1. Decide which end of the existing
beam is receiving the add-on and
remove the leg bolts to move the end
leg temporarily, so that the beam is still
supported.
2. Remove top cap, end cap, and
beltways of existing beam, and keep for
later.
3a.) Using the support bar jig provided,
slide it onto the top of the beam as
shown in red for clarity. Mark hole
locations (8x) with a hammer punch or
marker. Drill thru 1 wall using the 5/16”
drill bit. Remove jig when complete.
Note: If power blocks are interfering with
this step, please see next sheet for power
block removal. Otherwise, proceed to
step 4.

1) Disconnect jumper(s).
2) Remove power block from brackets.
3) Remove the brackets from the beam by removing 4 screws.

4. Using the connection block jig
provided, slide it onto the bottom of
the beam as shown in red for clarity.
Mark hole locations with a hammer
punch or marker. Mark as many holes
as available. Drill thru 1 wall using the
5/16” drill bit. Remove jig when
complete.
5. Attach a new mid cap from the
received add-on beam kit using #8-32 x
.75” flat head screw (4x).
6. Using the newly drilled holes from
step 4, attach the connection block &
plate as shown on the underside of the
beam with 1-1/4” socket head screw and
1/4” lock washer (2x).

7. Slide the support bar into the
opening. Line up the newly drilled holes
from step 3. Finger tighten the 1/2” hex
bolts in (8x).
8. With a mid-run end cap on the new
received beam, slide it onto the support
bar lining up the holes. Finger tighten
1/2” hex bolts (8x). Fasten the tops of
the end caps with the 3/8” machine
screw and hex nut provided (2x). Note:
Beam may need to be temporarily
supported during this step.
9. Insert the 2 ¾” socket head bolt into
the large round hole on one connecting
block and insert the square nut into the
rectangular hole on the other
connecting block (shown in red for
clarity). Note: With socket wrench, fully
tighten while beam is level and
connection is flush.

10. Finish tightening the 1/2” hex bolts
with a ratchet into the support bar (16x)
from step 7 and 8. Check that the beam
remained level.
11. Re-attach power block(s), power/data
cords & jumpers to desired locations.
12. Re-attach top cap, end cap, and
beltways from step 1.
13. Relocate existing leg from step 1 to
the new end position and fasten with the
leg bolts saved from earlier. Depending
on your application, an additional mid-
leg may be required –refer to your
Enwork quotation or Enwork Price List
for Ambition Planning –Configuration.
