Replacing the LAN
accessoryboardina
standard PCI slot
1Remove the defective board from the PCI slot. Disconnect the
External Start cable from the board, if necessary.
2Mount the PCI slot bracket on the replacement board.
3Connect the External Start cable to the replacement board (if
required) and then insert the board in the PCI slot.
The board may be
installed in a
minitower model
or in a desktop model

This document explains how to replace the LAN accessory board:
•in the dedicated PCI accessory slot (desktop models only)
•in a standard PCI slot (desktop and minitower models).

1Remove the defective board from the dedicated PCI accessory slot.
Disconnect the External Start cable from the board (if necessary).
2Mount the dedicated PCI accessory slot bracket on the replacement
LAN accessory board (if necessary).
3Connect the External Start cable to the replacement LAN accessory
board (if required) and then insert the board in the dedicated PCI
accessory slot.
