Dieser Verwendungshinweis ersetzt nicht die Gebrauchsanwei-
sung des verwendeten Elektrochirurgiegeräts! Lesen Sie die Ge-
brauchsanweisung des Elektrochirurgiegeräts und fragen Sie in
Zweifelsfällen Erbe oder Ihren Vertreiber!
1 Zweckbestimmung
Mit den Fußschaltern können die dafür vorgesehenen Geräte von
Erbe manuell aktiviert bzw. deaktiviert werden.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
20186-007: Fußschalter mit IP X8 Schutz; ist zum Anschluss an
Erbotom TUR/AMR und Erbotom Endoskopie sowie an alle Erbo-
tomgeräte der T-, ACC-, APC und ICC-Serien bestimmt.
20187-003: Fußschalter mit IP X8 Schutz; ist zum Anschluss an
ICC 50, ICC 80 und ICC Bipolar bestimmt.
20188-007, 20188-013, 20189-009, 20189-015, 20189-027:
Fußschalter mit AP-Schutz und mit IP X8-Schutz; sind zum An-
schluss an Erbotom TUR/AMR und Erbotom Endoskopie sowie an
alle Erbotomgeräte der T-, ACC-, APC- und ICC-Serien bestimmt.
20189-014, 20189-017: Verbindungskabel; dienen der Verbin-
dung von Erbotomgeräten mit Fußschaltern, wenn das Erbotom
auf einem Gerätewagen oder einem Wandhalter steht.
20321-001: Fußschalter mit AP-Schutz und mit IP X8-Schutz;
ist zum Anschluss an das IES 300 bestimmt.
20321-011: Fußschalter mit IP X8-Schutz; ist zum Anschluss an
das IES 300 bestimmt.

20325-000: Fußschalter mit AP-Schutz und mit IP X8-Schutz;
ist zum Anschluss an die EIP 2 bestimmt.
20711-008: Fußschalter mit AP-Schutz und mit IP X8-Schutz;
ist zum Anschluss an das Ophthalmotom E, Erbokombi E, Oph-
thalmobipolar E, Kathalyse, Diacapsutom, Erbokryo AE und Erbo-
kryo CA bestimmt.
20711-009: Fußschalter mit IP X8 Schutz; ist zum Anschluss an
das Ophthalmotom E, Erbokombi E, Ophthalmobipolar E, Katha-
lyse, Diacapsutom, Erbokryo AE und Erbokryo CA bestimmt.
WARNUNG!
3 Sicherheitshinweise
Dieses Produkt darf nur von ausgebildetem medizinischen Per-
sonal, das anhand des Verwendungshinweises in dessen Ge-
brauch eingewiesen wurde, verwendet werden.
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung:
•die Isolierung von Anschlusskabeln,
•den Fußschalter auf Funktion und Beschädigungen,
•welches Funktionsfeld des Elektrochirurgiegerätes mit wel-
chem Fußschalter aktiviert wird!
Andere Kontrollen, als in diesem Verwendungshinweis beschrie-
ben, müssen nicht durchgeführt werden.
Schadhafte Fußschalter, Fußschalter mit schadhaften An-
schlusskabeln nicht verwenden!
Fußschalter ohne AP-Schutz dürfen nicht in der Gegenwart von
brennbaren oder explosiblen Stoffen verwendet werden!
Fußschalter, die ferromagnetische Teile enthalten, dürfen nicht
in oder in der Nähe eines Magnetresonanz-Tomografen verwen-
det werden!
Niemals auf dem Patienten oder in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe
ablegen!

Erbe Elektromedizin warnt ausdrücklich davor, Fußschalter oder
Verbindungskabel zu verändern. Jede Veränderung führt zum
Ausschluss der Haftung durch Erbe Elektromedizin.
4 Anwendungshinweise
Reinigen und desinfizieren Sie neue Fußschalter vor der ersten
Anwendung!
Schützen Sie Fußschalter und Kabel vor mechanischer Beschädi-
gung. Nicht werfen! Keinerlei Gewalt anwenden! Kabel nicht
knicken! Kabel nicht um den Fußschalter wickeln!
5 Reinigung und Desinfektion
Die Angaben des Desinfektionsmittelherstellers unbedingt ein-
halten.
5.1 Fußschalter mit AP-Schutz und Anschlusskabel
Diese können Sie mit einem geeigneten Desinfektionsmittel rei-
nigen. Benutzen Sie ein feuchtes Tuch. Nicht in die Desinfekti-
onsmittellösung tauchen!
Wenn Sie ein brennbares und/oder explosibles Desinfektions-
mittel benutzen, muss dieses vor Anwendung des Fußschalters
restlos von dessen Oberfläche verdunstet sein.
5.2 Fußschalter ohne AP-Schutz und Anschlusskabel
Diese dürfen Sie nur mit nicht brennbaren und nicht explosiblen
Mitteln – z.B. Seifenlauge – reinigen. Benutzen Sie ein feuchtes
Tuch. Nicht in die Reinigungslösung tauchen!

These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
electrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the electro-
surgical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
1 Intended use
The footswitches can be used to manually activate or deactivate
the Erbe units intended for this purpose.
2 Normal use
20186-007: Footswitch with IP X8 protection; intended for con-
necting to Erbotom TUR/AMR and Erbotom for endoscopy as
well as all Erbotom units of the T, ACC, APC and ICC series.
20187-003: Footswitch with IP X8 protection; intended for con-
nectiontotheICC50,ICC80andICCBipolar.
20188-007, 20188-013, 20189-009, 20189-015, 20189-027:
Footswitches with AP protection and IP X8 protection; intended
for connecting to Erbotom TUR/AMR and Erbotom for endoscopy
as well as all Erbotom units of the T, ACC, APC and ICC series.
20189-014, 20189-017: Connecting cables, serve to connect
Erbotom units to footswitches, if the Erbotom is located on an
equipment cart or a wall bracket.
20321-001: Footswitch with AP protection and IP X8 protection;
intended for connection to the IES 300.
20321-011: Footswitch with IP X8 protection; intended for con-
nection to the IES 300.
20325-000: Footswitch with AP protection and IP X8 protection;

3 Safety instructions
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who
have been shown how to use it according to the instructions for
use.
Before each use, check:
•the insulation of connecting cables,
•the footswitch for correct functioning and signs of physical
damage,
•which function field of the electrosurgical unit is activated
with which footswitch!
Checks other than those described in these instructions for use
do not need to be carried out.
Do not use damaged footswitches or footswitches with damaged
connecting cables!
Footswitches without AP protection must not be used in the
presence of combustible or explosive materials!
Footswitches which contain ferromagnetic parts must not be used
in or in the vicinity of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging system!
Never lay this product on the patient or in his/her direct vicinity.
Erbe Elektromedizin expressly warns against modifying the
footswitch or connecting cable. Any modification will exempt
Erbe Elektromedizin from all liability.

4 How to use
Clean and disinfect new footswitches before using them for the
first time!
Protect the footswitch and cable against mechanical damage. Do
not throw! Do not use force! Do not kink the cable! Do not wrap
the cable around the footswitch!
5 Cleaning and disinfection
It is essential to follow the disinfectant manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
5.1 Footswitches with AP protection and connecting
cable
These can be cleaned with a suitable disinfectant. Use a damp
cloth. Do not immerse in the disinfectant solution!
If a combustible and/or explosive disinfectant is used, this must
have completely evaporated off the surface before using the
footswitch.
5.2 Footswitches without AP protection and
connecting cable
These must only be cleaned with non-combustible and non-ex-
plosive materials – e.g. soapy water. Use a damp cloth. Do not
immerse in the cleaning solution!
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product, packaging material and accessories (if
available) in accordance with the national guidelines and legis-
lation applicable in each case.

Caution! Federal law (USA) restricts this device to sale by or on
the order of a physician!
1 Intended Use
The footswitches can be used to manually activate or deactivate
the Erbe units intended for this purpose.
2 Normal Use
No. 20711-009: One pedal footswitch, IP X8 1) equipment in-
tended for connecting to/activation by pedal an ERBOKRYO CA
Cryosurgical System.
No. 20187-003: Two pedal footswitch, IP X8 1) equipment in-
tended for connecting to/activation by pedal ICC 50, ICC 80, and
ICC Bipolar Electrosurgical Generators.
No. 20188-007: One bipolar pedal footswitch, 4 pin, AP 2) and
IP X8 1) equipment intended for connecting to/activation by
pedal ICC 50, ICC 80, and ICC Bipolar Electrosurgical Generators.
No. 20188-013: One bipolar pedal footswitch, 7 pin, AP 2) and
IP X8 1) equipment intended for connecting to/activation by
pedal ICC 300 and 350 Electrosurgical Generators.

tended for connecting to/activation by pedal ERBOTOM ACC and
ICC series Electrosurgical Generators as well as an APC 300 Ar-
gon Plasma Coagulator.
WARNING!
3 Safety instructions
This product may only be used by medical personnel who have
been trained per these instructions.
Before each use, check that the footswitch assembly is intact and
that the connecting cable insulation is not damaged. Verify that
there are no signs of physical damage. Check/Verify that the
footswitch functions properly.
Checks other than those described in these instructions for use
do not need to be carried out.
Protect the footswitch from any mechanical damage. Do not
throw or use excessive force! Do not kink or wrap the cable
around the pedal(s).
Non-AP 1) Equipment Footswitches must not be used in the
presence of combustible or explosive materials.
Footswitches that have ferromagnetic parts must not be used in
or in the vicinity of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) System.

4How to use
Clean (disinfect) the footswitch prior to first time use and upon
re-use!
Insert the cable connector of the footswitch into the receptacle
of the unit. Align the connector key up with the receptacle key,
push in and rotate the outer connecting ring clockwise until
snug. The footswitch is then used with the equipment and may
remain connected to the system. To detach the footswitch from
the equipment, rotate the outer connector ring counterclockwise
and gently pull the cable connector straight out of the socket.
5 Cleaning and disinfection
Follow instructions from the manufacturer(s) of the cleaning
and/or disinfectant agent(s).
Clean and/or disinfect the footswitch (including the cable) with
a damp cloth of detergent (e.g., soapy water) and/or a non-
combustible and non-explosive suitable disinfectant. Do not im-
merse the footswitch in the solution(s).
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product, packaging material and accessories (if
available) in accordance with the national guidelines and regu-
lation applicable in each case.
