Steps for replacing individual signal contacts of the male connector
1.
Place male connector into lower tool, with its ter-
mination side facing upwards, and place manual
device on signal contact.
2.
Use manual device to press out and remove sig-
nal contact in a downward direction.
3.
Clean position on male connector housing (e.g.
with a pair of pincers). As plastic residues may
remain when the contact is pressed out.
4.
Fit new contact. The alignment of the contact
should be noted. Align the contact such that it
fits into the rectangular aperture in the housing.
