ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
• Check tht the mins voltge mtches with the
voltge on the dt plte inside the rngehood.
• Check tht the instlltion complies with
stndrds of locl building, gs nd electricl
uthorities.
• Before connecting to the mins supply ensure
tht the mins voltge corresponds to the
voltge on the rting plte inside the rngehood.
• Only plug this unit into properly erthed outlet.
If in doubt seek dvise from suitbly qulied
person or service gent.
Rated Voltage & Frequency: 220-240V~ 50Hz-60Hz
Motor Input Power: 100W/125W
WARNING: If the supply cord is dmged, it must
be replced by the mnufcturer or its service
gent or similrly qulied person in order to void
hzrd.
WARNING: All electricl work must be done in
ccordnce with locl nd ntionl electricl codes
s pplicble nd should be undertken
by licenced nd qulied persons only. Filure to
follow these instructions cn result in deth, re or

SAFETY WARNINGS: FOR THE INSTALLER
When instlling the rngehood, mke sure you
dhere to the minimum distnce of 650mm nd
mximum distnce of 750mm from the rngehood
bse to the cooktop surfce.
Exhaust ue installation:
The following rules must be strictly followed to
obtin optiml ir extrction.
• Keep exhust ue short nd stright.
• Do not reduce the size or restrict exhust ue.
• Keep bends in the exhust ue to minimum;
the more bends the lower the extrction
performnce.
• When using exible ue lwys instll
duct with helix pulled tut to minimise
pressure loss.
• Connect the extrctor to the exhust ue
through pipe of minimum dimeter 120mm
• Filure to observe these bsic instructions will
drsticlly reduce the performnce nd increse
the noise levels of the rngehood.
Exhust ir must not be dischrged into wll
cvity, unless the cvity is designed for tht
purpose. The exhust from the rngehood
must not be dischrged into ny heting ue, which
my crry combustion products from other sources.
NOTE: Some instlltions my require the
expndble/telescopic ducting to be cut to length.
Cut with shrp tin snips or ne-tooth hck
sw blde, tking cre not to distort or dent the
exhust cover. Where using expndble ducting,
it’s importnt to hve the ducting fully tught to
mximise eciency of the irow.
Important notice regarding the extraction mode.
WARNING: Risk of poisoning from exhust gses
sucked bck. Never operte the device in extrction
mode simultneously with n open ue pplince
when there is not dequte irow gurnteed.

Open ue combustion equipment (for exmple,
gs, oil, wood or col-red heters, tnkless wter
heters, wter heters) pulls combustion ir from
the room nd runs it through n exhust pipe or
chimney to the outside. In the extrction mode,
indoor ir is removed from the kitchen nd the
djcent rooms — without sucient ir intke this
cretes vcuum. Toxic gses from the chimney or
extrction ue cn thereby be sucked bck into the
living spces.
• Alwys ensure tht sucient supply of fresh ir
is gurnteed nd tht the ir cn circulte.
• An ir supply / extrctor box lone does not
ensure complince with the limit vlue.
Sfe opertion is only possible when the negtive
pressure in the room where the pplince is locted
does not exceed 4 P (0.04 mbr). This cn be
chieved when the ir required for combustion cn
ow through openings tht re not closble, for
exmple in doors, windows, in conjunction with n
ir supply / extrctor box or through other technicl
mesures. In ny cse, consult qulied chimney
sweep who cn ssess the entire ventiltion of

Instlltion Instructions
WARNING: Before strting the instlltion, plese
refer to the Sfety Informtion section.
• Alwys switch the power o prior to beginning
the instlltion.
• The exterior surfces cn be esily dmged
during instlltion. Wherever possible, protect
the rngehood with the crdbord box or plstic.
• A power point must be locted within 1.5m of
the power cord exit from the rngehood, nd it
should be lwys ccessible to llow isoltion
from power during clening or mintennce.
• All ducting must comply with building codes nd
locl requirements.
• If you re re-circulting the ir, rther thn
ducting, plese ensure tht the outlet grilles re
not obstructed in ny wy s this will ect the
eciency of the rngehood.
• Ensure tht the rngehood is mounted in
level position, both horizontlly nd verticlly.
This is essentil to ensure the rngehood
opertes correctly nd prevents grese build
up t one end.
IMPORTANT: Never use silicone round
your rngehood or ue pieces. Never instll the
rngehood or ue pieces into the plster ceiling
which prevents esy ccess to the rngehood for
servicing requirements.
IMPORTANT: Before instlling your rngehood,
plese record the detils of your rngehood’s rting
lbel (locted within the rngehood, behind the
luminium grese lters) into the form on pge 19.
This will be helpful should you need to contct our
service tem in the future.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Check tht the instlltion complies with the
stndrds of locl building, gs nd electricl
uthorities. Before connecting your rngehood to
the mins supply, ensure tht the mins voltge
corresponds to the voltge on the rting plte inside
the rngehood.
RECIRCULATING INSTALLATION
Before beginning the instlltion of your rngehood,
consider your ducting method.
We recommend ducting your rngehood wherever
possible, for the mximum performnce, however
this rngehood cn be operted in recirculting
mode. You will need to purchse the relevnt
Crbon Filter ccessory which is vilble for
purchse from our After Sles Service Tem.
If you do not hve n outlet to the outside, n
exhust pipe is not required. The rest of the
instlltion method is the sme s Ducted
Instlltion.
If you choose recirculting instlltion, instll the
Check Vlve on the vent hole.

DUCTED INSTALLATION
For mximum performnce we recommend
instlling with rigid or semi rigid ducting. Use cble
ties or suitble duct tpe to secure the exible pipe
or ducting to the rngehood duct outlet.
WARNING: All ducting must be re retrdnt.
Depending on your sitution, there re multiple
options for ducting your rngehood, s follows:
• Stright up through your tiled or metl roof,
using roof cowl (not supplied with the

• Into your ceiling cvity (where complint with
locl nd ntionl building regultions/codes.
Seek pprovl from the relevnt uthority or
building inspector where necessry.
• Into your ceiling cvity nd then vented to the
tmosphere through your eves, using no more
thn 2 × 90 degree bends within the ducting run.
• Through your wll.
IMPORTANT: Ducting cn hve mjor eect on
your rngehoods performnce. The following tips
outline how to correctly duct your rngehood.
• Alwys use the correct size ducting.
• This rngehood is designed for use with 120mm
ducting to chieve optimum irow performnce
nd minimised noise.
• For mximum performnce use semi rigid
or rigid ducting.
• Alwys use non-mmble ducting
• Alwys duct to the outside tmosphere, unless
your locl building codes nd regultions permit
otherwise.
• Where using exible ducting, lwys instll the
ducting pulled tut to minimize pressure loss,
nd cut ny excess ducting o.
• Where possible, void using 90 degree bends
nd in their plce use multiple 45 degree bends.
• Keep your totl length of ducting to the shortest
length possible.
• Ensure there re no kinks in your ducting.
• Use cylindricl ducting whenever possible.
POSITIONING THE RANGEHOOD
NOTE: When the rngehood nd pplince
supplied with energy other thn electricity re
simultneously in opertion, the negtive pressure
in the room must be not exceed 4 P (4 × 10-5 Br).
IMPORTANT: The height of the rngehood
underside must be minimum of 650mm* to
mximum 750mm from the top of your cooktop
surfce (for gs cooktops this is the top of the
