Product Description
The ESCO OTR Large O-Ring Installer [Model #40807] is designed and
built to manually install and remove O-Rings on OTR Tires 25”- 36”. The unit
is also used to separate the inside and outside beads of OTR tires as well as
assists in the removal and installation of the lock ring.

BEFORE USE:
• Before use of this tool please verify that the application of this tool is
compatible. For more information about this tool or any other tools
• Assemble product according to parts breakdown and assembly
provided.
• Read the entire operation manual including warnings before any use
of this tool.
• Always inspect the tool before use to ensure it is working properly.
If there is any damage, DO NOT put into service. Contact the
manufacturer or an authorized distributor of ESCO product and parts
for replacement parts or consulation.
OPERATION:
• To operate the tool, the operator MUST be a trained tire technician and
must know how to demount and mount tires on tire rims using correct
procedures.
• A qualied technician is available by ESCO to answer any questions
regarding applications and proper use of the tool.
• Improper use of the tool for which it is designed for may void warranty.
MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION:
• Visual inspection shall be made before each use of the tool, checking for
cracks, cracked welds and missing and/or damaged parts. Any tool that
appears to be damaged in any way should be removed from service
immediately.
• Because of the potential hazards associated with the misuse of
equipment of this type, no modications should be made of the product
without consent from manufacturer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Before use of this tool always check all components. All components
must be in perfect condition, there must be no oil leaks, dents, or marks
on the cylinder.
• The pump-control system assembly must be declared conforming,
otherwise the tool cannot be used.
• For the connections, use hoses in new and undamaged conditions,
with a persepective sleeve and suitable ttings.
• Connect the equipment to an oil-hydraulic system with adequate control
systems and with a maximum pressure not higher than 700 bar.

Bead Remover Connection
• Connect the bead remover to the single effect command circuit, with
suitable control systems using the ttings provided.
• The system must operate at a pressure no higher than 700 bar with
a ow rate no higher than 0.7 1/min.
How To Remove The Bead
• Check that the arm is open and resting on the rim.
• Rest the bead remover on the tire and push it under the rim.
• Operate the pump: The bead remover will start to close the arm,
which will then lock the rim and hold the bead remover in place,
which will push into the tire and detach it from the rim.
• When the rim has moved a few centimeters, insert a shim and then
remove pressure from the bead remover.
• Reposition the bead remover at another point near the rst and repeat
the operation.

Precautions
• The tire must be completely deated.
• Work only on tires that are locked in position and cannot rotate or turn,
to avoid uncontrolled movement.
• Keep the bead remover always perpendicular the the rim to avoid a
bad operation.
• Hold the bead remover up with one hand and DO NOT leave it hooked
on. Any sudden movement of the rim ring can cause the device to fall off
the rim and drop to the ground.
• Wear strong gloves and boots with steel toe caps and keep other
personnel at a safe distance of at least 6’ | 1.8 m.
HANDLING AND STORAGE:
• The tool and its components must be handled and stored in an area
protected from moisture and kept in tempartures between 50° F and
104° F.
