bijreparatieorigineleonderdelenwordengebruikt.Onderdelendieaannormaleslijtageonderhevig
zijnvallenbuitendegarantie.
Voorframebreukengeldteengarantievan5jaar.Verdergeldtereengarantieopproductiegebreken
enmateriaalfoutenvolgenslandelijkeregelgevingenbepalingen,ofwelalsaangegevenindeverkoop-
enlevervoorwaardenvandedealerwaarbijhetproductisaangeschaft.Dezekunnendebepaling
bevattendatdegarantieonderhevigisaandeverantwoordelijkheidvandeklantentenaanzienvan
onderhoudvanenzorgvoorhetproductconformdeindehandleidingvoorgeschrevenintervallen.
DegarantiekanuitsluitendwordengehonoreerdindienhetEtacR82-productinhetzelfdelandwordt

1. AlvorensdeStingraySwing-outteplaatsendientdeafstandvanhetEasyt-bevestigingssysteem
(F)tothetframevandeStingraySwing-out(G)maximaaltewordeningesteld.Trekhiervoorde
centralerodeknop(B)uitenlaatdezeweervastklikkeninzijnuiterstestand.
2. Plaatsdebeschermkussensopdeachterbankvoorbeschermingvandebekledingvande
achterbank.
3. PlaatsdeStingraySwing-outopdeachterbankenschuif(meteenduidelijkeklik)debeide
kliksystemen(C)opdeIsoxverankeringspunten.DeIsoxverankeringspuntenbevindenzich
tussendezittingenderugleuningvandeachterbank.Somszittendezegoedverstopt.
4. Trekdecentralerodeknop(B)wederomuitenduwgelijktijdigdeStingraySwing-outrichting
derugleuningvandeauto.Laatdeknopvastklikkenwanneerdekortstmogelijkelengtevan
positioneringsbuisisbereikt.Dehaalbarelengteverschilt,afhankelijkvandezitdieptevande
achterbank.HiermeepositioneertudeStingraySwing-out.
5. Draaideinbusboutjesvandestelpootjes(D)vandeStingraySwing-outlos.Destelpootjes
moetenstevigopdebodemvandeautogeplaatstworden.Bijsommigeauto’szijnopbergvakken
indebodemgemaakt.Zorgdanvooreenstevigeplaattussendestelpootjesendeafdekplaat
vanditopbergvak.Draaideinbusboutjesnahetstellenweergoedvast.
6. ControleerofdeStingraySwing-outnagenoeghorizontaalgepositioneerdis.Wanneerditniethet
gevalis,volgstap4,5en6opnieuw.
7. Controleer of de Stingray Swing-out na behoren
functioneert en in beide eindposities in de
vergrendelingvalt(klikt).
DemontagevandeStingrayswing-outuitdeauto:
1. Demonteer de Stingray Swing-out door de twee
horizontalepalletjes(E)vanhetEasytbevestigings-
systeem(C)naarvorentetrekken.Ditzaldezorgen
dathetEasyt-bevestigingssysteemloskomtvande
Isox-verankerpunten.
2. VerwijderdeStingraySwing-outvoorzichtiguitdeauto
enplaatsdezeopeenveiligeplaats.
Montage/wijzigingenvanhetautostoeltjemoetenalleenvolgensdezeinstructieworden
uitgevoerd.

MONTAGE STINGRAY SWING-OUT
Met Evo spangordel:
1. Verwijderdezittingvandeachterbankofklapdezenaarvoren.Demonteeraanderechterzijde
(oflinkerzijde,afhankelijkvandeuitvoering)detweebevestigingsplatenvandedriepuntsgordel
(goedegekeurdvolgensECER16)dieopdebodemvandeautobevestigdzijn.
Bijmontageoppassagiersstoelvoor:demonteerdetweebevestigingspuntenvanhetheupgordel-
gedeeltevande3-puntsgordeldieaandebodemvandeautoofaandevoorstoelzitten.Wanneer
nietduidelijkisofdezepuntengeschiktzijnvoormontagevandeStingraySwing-out,neemdan
contactopmetdeautodealer.
2. Monteerdebevestigingsplaten(AenB)vandespangordelonderdebevestigingsplatenvande
3-puntsgordel.Zorgdathetspanratel(C)aanderechterzijdekomt(linksbijlinker-inbouw)zodat
bijhetuitdraaiendezitunitniettegenderatelkomt.
3. Debevestigingspuntenmoetenwordenvastgezetmetdeboutenindebodemvandeauto,bij
voorkeurmeteenmomentsleutel.Draaideboutenmethetjuisteaanhaalmomentaan(vaak120
Nm)omlostrillentevoorkomen.Neemcontactopmetuwgaragevoorhetjuisteaanhaalmoment.
Deeffectievedraadlengtenvandegordelbevestigingsboutenmoetennamontagevande
span-gordelbevestigingsplatennogminimaal1,5keerdelengtehebbendiedoordemoergaat.
4. PlaatsdeStingraySwing-outopdeachterbankmetdepositioneringskussensonderhetEasyt-
bevestigingssysteem.Hetwigvormigekussenkomtonderhetzitgedeelte.
5. DraaideinbusboutjesvandestelpootjesvandeStingraySwing-outlos.Destelpootjesmoeten
stevigopdebodemvandeautogeplaatstworden.Bijsommigeauto’szijnopbergvakkeninde
bodemgemaakt.Zorgdanvooreenstevigeplaattussendestelpootjesendeafdekplaatvandit
opbergvak.Draaideinbusboutjesnahetstellenweergoedvast.
6. Steekdespangordel,overhetbuizenframeendoordespangordelhaken(F)door,inde
stelgesp(D)(vanbinnennaarbuiten)entrekdezeaantothetspanratel(C)ruimtegenoegheeft
omaangespannenteworden.
7. Controleer of de Stingray Swing-out nagenoeg horizontaal
gepositioneerdis.Wanneerditniethetgevalis,volg
stap7,8en9opnieuw.
8. Controleer of de Stingray Swing-out na behoren
functioneerteninbeideeindpositiesindevergrendeling
valt(klikt).
DemontagevandeStingrayswing-outuitdeauto:
1. DemonteerdeStingraySwing-outdoordestelgesp(D)
teontgrendelenzodatdespanbandlosserkomt.Hierna
kanhetspanratel(C)geopendwordenenkandespanband
losgehaaldworden.
2. VerwijderdeStingraySwing-outvoorzichtiguitdeauto
enplaatsdezeopeenveiligeplaats.
GEBRUIK VAN DE STINGRAY SWING-OUT
OmdeStingraySwing-outtegebruiken,trekaandehendel(onderhetzitgedeelte,zieFintekening
pagina10)endraaidezitunit90°naarbuiten.Trekdezitunitnaarbuitentotdatdezeinde
vergrendelingvaltmeteenduidelijkeklik.
PlaatsuwkindgoedachterindeStingraySwing-outzitvoorziening.
Eventueelkanuwkindmeteen5-puntsgordelextrawordtgexeerd
(accessoire).
Ontgrendel de zitunit door opnieuw aan de hendel te trekken en draai
dezitunitteruginderijrichtingstand.Duwvervolgensdezitunitnaar
binnentotdatdezeindevergrendelingvaltmeteenduidelijkeklik.
Derodegordelgeleiding(3onderdelen)vande3-puntsautogordelis
standaardgemonteerdaandezitunit.Zorgaltijddatde
(auto)heupgordelstrakoverdeonderstegeleidinglooptenoverde
heupenwanneeruwkinderinzit.Derodegordelgeleidingvoorde

• Uw kind moet goed achter in de zitunit zijn geplaatst om de 3-puntsgordel op de juiste manier
voorhetkindlangsteplaatsen.
• De5-puntsgordelmoetopdejuistemaniergemonteerdzijn(zieverderopinde
gebruiksaanwijzing).
• Diagonaalgordel:

STINGRAY SWING-OUT
The Stingray Swing-out is a car seat for children weighing from 9 to 36 kg. It comes in 4 sizes and the
Easyfit frame turns and partially slides in and out of the car. This makes it easier for carers to put
children with a disability in and out of the car. The seat depth and side impact headrest are adjustable
to allow for the growth of the child. Furthermore, several accessories are available that can give the
child better support.
The Stingray Swing-out is available with two different mounting systems:
• Easyfit mounting system for 4/5-door cars with the Isofix anchoring system in the rear seat (usually
outer two seats).

Both versions are available in a right or left-hand version. The Stingray Swing-out cannot be converted
from right to left.
The Stingray Swing-out has been approved according to the ECE 44.04 standard and the headrest
has been tested "Side Impact" according to the ISO/DIS14646 standard
For information: most of the Stingray buggy accessories are not suitable for the
Stingray Swing-out. This is to ensure compliance with ECE 44.04.

The child in the Stingray Swing-out must always continue to use the 3-point safety belt (approved in
accordance with ECE R16) of the car. By using the Isofix anchorage, the Stingray Swing-out stays in
place as closely as possible during an accident, including side impacts. It also ensures optimum power
distribution through the stable mounting of the car seat with the car. The adjustable rod (B) of the
Easyfit frame ensures even better stability of the frame, even during an accident. Use must always be

ASSEMBLY
MOUNTING
It is recommended that an approved fitter installs the car seat into the car. This could be your
supplier or a car dealer. Then parents/carers will also be instructed how the Stingray Swing-out is
fitted in the car and how to remove it. To prevent incorrect fitting, these instructions must be
followed step by step. The instruction labels on the product must always be followed.
Incorrect assembly can create a dangerous situation and endanger lives. If there are
doubts about the installation or use in the car, you should contact your supplier or
manufacturer.
Due to the shape of the frame and method of mounting, an impression may remain in the seat cover
over time. To prevent this, you can use the R82 positioning or protective cushions (item no.
NLSW070 / 071, available via your supplier) on your rear seat. Make sure that the car seat can slide
out freely and does not rub on the cheek of the upholstery. Trespa protection plates are available for
this (43x14 cm, article number NLPE011).
IMPORTANT
• It is important to choose the right size of Stingray Swing-out seat for your child. If you have any
doubts, you should contact your supplier or the manufacturer.
• Make sure that the car's three-point seat belt (approved according to ECE R16 for EU and UK
road use) is always around the Stingray Swing-out (even without a child in it) so that the central
bolt of the Stingray Swing-out seat cannot break off in the event of an accident and become loose
in the car. The Easyfit system or the Evo tensioning belt is not sufficient to hold the Stingray
Swing-out in place, it is more than 25 kg.
•It is not permissible under ECE Regulations to make modifications to this car seat.
• Never leave your child unattended in the car.
• Position the three-point belt correctly over the shoulder and over the hips and ensure that it does
not run over the child's stomach but over the pelvis.
• Make sure that the belt runs flat over the child's body.
• The Stingray Swing-out seat must be turned back and locked during transport and must therefore
be fitted with the car's 3-point safety belt.
• Metal parts of the car seat can be heated by the sun. Ensure that the skin does not come into
direct contact with these parts because of possible blistering.
• Make sure that delicate parts of the Stingray Swing-out are not damaged during use. If the car
seat does not function properly, have it checked or replaced.

• After an accident, this car seat can be damaged, although this is not always visible. Have this
checked and, if necessary, replace the car seat (frame, seat unit and Easyfit mounting system).
•Under ECE Regulations the Stingray Swing-out may only be fitted with its original accessories and

• A limited number of accessories are available including a 5-point belt, side supports for the
trunk, pelvic supports and a footrest. Most accessories for the Stingray buggy are not applicable
with the Stingray Swing-out. Please contact your supplier for further information.
• During transport, the luggage must always be properly stored and secured. In the event of an
accident, this can fly through the car and cause serious personal injury.
• It should be pointed out to the user/parent that the fixed and plastic parts of the car seat are
positioned and mounted in such a way that they cannot get caught in a movable seat or in a door
of the vehicle during daily use of the vehicle.
• Make sure that only the attachment points and belt guide are used as indicated in this manual

relevant European safety requirements.
The Stingray Swing-out falls under the category “Special Needs Restraints” for Car Seat Groups I, 2
and 3, (9 to 36 kg). The Stingray Swing-out is approved for use in the rear seat of the car using either
the Easy-fit system or Evo tension belt and possibly in the front passenger seat with the use of the
EVO tension belt. These seats must be equipped with an ECE R16 approved three-point seat belt.
The safest place for mounting the Stingray Swing-out is on the left-hand side of the rear seat
(pavement side).
If mounting on the front passenger seat, the passenger airbag, if present, must be switched off. After
the tensioning belt has been mounted and tensioned, the front seat does not have to be moved
again, as otherwise the Evo tensioning belt will become loose again.
No modifications can be made to the Stingray Swing-out as this will invalidate the ECE 44.04
approval.

GUARANTEE
The warranty on the Stingray Swing-out is one year after the purchase date, and this only remains valid
if original parts are used for repairs. Parts that are subject to normal wear and tear are not covered by
the warranty.
A 5-year warranty applies to frame breaks. Furthermore, there is a guarantee for production defects
and material errors in accordance with national regulations and provisions, or as indicated in the sales
and delivery conditions of the supplier where the product was purchased. These may include the
provision that the warranty is subject to customers' responsibility with regard to maintenance and care
of the product at the intervals specified in the manual.
The warranty can only be honored if the R82 product is used in the same country for which it was
made and if the product can be identified by serial number and if the conditions of customer
responsibility are met.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, including damage caused by negligence or incorrect
use. The warranty does not extend to consumable parts that are subject to normal wear and that must
be replaced regularly. This warranty is void when non-original R82 parts and accessories are used or
when repaired or replaced by non authorised R82 representatives.
R82 reserves the right to inspect the warranty product and the relevant documentation before
agreeing to the warranty claim. The guarantee is issued by the R82 importer or by a rehabilitation
dealer.
MAINTENANCE
The metal parts of the Stingray Swing-out should be cleaned with a damp cloth. The upholstery of the
Stingray Swing-out seat is washable according to the washing instructions as stated on the sewn-in
label.
Do not use cleaning agents that contain chloride, alcohol or aggressive ingredients.
Settings/adjustments not described in this manual may only be made by authorised
R82 staff.

FITTING THE STINGRAY SWING-OUT IN A CAR
With Easyfit mounting system:

Before placing the Stingray Swing-out, the distance from the Easyfit mounting system (F) to the
frame of the Stingray Swing-out (G) must be set to the maximum. To do this, pull out the central
red button (B) and allow it to lock into its extreme position.
Place the protective cushions on the rear seat to protect the upholstery of the rear seat.
Place the Stingray Swing-out on the rear seat and slide (with a clear click) the two click systems
(C) onto the Isofix anchor points. The Isofix anchoring points are located between the seat and
the backrest of the rear seat. Sometimes these are well hidden.
Pull out the central red button (B) again and at the same time push the Stingray Swing-out
towards the back of the car. Let the button click when the shortest possible length of the
positioning tube has been reached. The achievable length differs depending on the seat depth of
the rear seat. This positions the Stingray Swing-out.
Unscrew the socket head cap screws (D) of the Stingray Swing-out. The adjustable feet must be
placed firmly on the floor of the car. For some cars, storage compartments are made in the
bottom. Then ensure a sturdy plate between the adjustable feet and the cover plate of this
storage compartment. Tighten the Allen screws after adjusting.
Check whether the Stingray Swing-out is positioned virtually horizontal. If this is not the case,
follow steps 4, 5 and 6 again.
Check that the Stingray Swing-out functions properly and that it locks (clicks) in both end
positions.
Removing the Stingray swing-out from the car:
1. Remove the Stingray Swing-out through the two
horizontal latches (E) of the Easyfit mounting system
(C). This will be the way that the Easyfit mounting
system will loosen from the Isofix anchor points.
2. Carefully remove the Stingray Swing-out from the car
and place it in a safe place
Fitting of the car seat must be carried out in according to this instruction.

FITTING THE STINGRAY SWING-OUT IN A CAR
With Evo tension belt:
1. Remove the car seat from the rear seat or fold it forward. On the right-hand side (or left-hand
side, depending on the version), dismantle the two mounting plates of the three-point belt
(approved according to ECE R16) that are attached to the floor of the car.
2. For mounting on front passenger seat: disassemble the two attachment points of the lap belt
section of the 3-point seat belt that are located on the floor of the car or on the front seat. If it is
not clear whether these points are suitable for mounting the Stingray Swing-out, contact the car
dealer.
3. Fit the securing plates (A and B) of the tension belt under the 3-point belt mounting plates. Make
sure that the tensioning ratchet (C) is on the right-hand side (left with left-hand installation) so
that the seat unit does not touch the ratchet when it is unscrewed.
4. The fixing points must be fixed with the bolts in the bottom of the car, preferably with a torque
wrench. Tighten the bolts with the correct torque (often 120 Nm) to prevent loosening. Contact
your garage for the correct torque. The effective wire lengths of the belt attachment bolts must
be fitted after the tensioning belt mounting plates still have at least 1.5 times the length that
goes through the nut.
5. Place the Stingray Swing-out on the rear seat with the positioning pads under the Easyfit
mounting system. The wedge-shaped cushion comes under the seating area.
6. Loosen the Allen screws of the adjustable feet of the Stingray Swing-out. The adjustable feet
must be placed firmly on the floor of the car. For some cars, storage compartments are made in
the bottom. Then ensure a sturdy plate between the adjustable feet and the cover plate of this
storage compartment. Tighten the Allen screws after adjusting.
7. Insert the tension belt, over the tube frame and through the tension belt hooks (F), into the
adjustment buckle (D) (from the inside to the outside) and tighten until the tensioning ratchet (C)
has enough space to be tightened.
8. Check whether the Stingray Swing-out is almost horizontal
positioned. If this is not the case, follow steps 7, 8 and 9 again.
9. 8. Check whether the Stingray Swing-out belongs properly
functions and in both end positions in the lock falls (clicks).
Removing the Stingray swing-out from the car:
1. Remove the Stingray Swing-out through the adjusting
buckle (D) to unlock so that the strap becomes looser.
After this the tensioning ratchet (C) can be opened and
the tensioning strap can be opened be detached.
2. Carefully remove the Stingray Swing-out from the car
and place it in a safe place.

USE OF THE STINGRAY SWING-OUT
To use the Stingray Swing-out, pull the lever (under the seat) and turn the seat 90° outwards. Pull
the seat unit out until it locks into place with a clear click.
Place your child in the back of the Stingray Swing-out seat.
Optionally, your child can be secured with a 5-point chest harness
(accessory).
Unlock the seat by pulling the lever again and turn the seat unit back
to the direction of travel. Then push the seat inside until it falls into
the lock with a clear click.
The red belt guide (3 parts) of the 3-point car belt is mounted on the
seat unit as standard. Always make sure that the (car) hip belt runs
tightly over the lower guide and over the hips when your child is in it.
The red belt guide for the (auto) diagonal belt is standard in the lowest
position (with A marked on the back of the car seat). When your child
has grown it will be in the higher position (with B marked on rear car
be fitted by releasing two bolts (C) rotate and move. Please note:
the side-Impact headrest must also be set higher.
The following instructions must be followed carefully:
• Your child must be positioned correctly at the back of the seat to correctly position the 3-
point belt in front of the child.
• The 5-point seat belt must be fitted correctly (see later in the user manual).
Diagonal belt:
• Place the diagonal belt over the child and through the belt guide
(B) so that it passes over the shoulder the child is walking.
Optionally, an R82 protective cover (item no. 89662-1) placed
over the diagonal belt be at the height of the child's neck for
more comfort.
Hip belt:
The hip belt should sit well over the hips of the child and be
placed through the belt guide (C)
Then place the tongue plate in the closure holder (D) to lock
the 3-point belt.

The height can be adjusted by loosening the Allen screw and adjusting it to the correct height. If the
foot plate is set too high, the turning part will touch the foot plate. The footplate can therefore not be
used in this position

SIDE IMPACT HEADREST ~(standard)
The Side Impact headrest (SI) can be adjusted in total by approximately 10 cm in height.
Loosen two bolts (G) (with Allen key 6) and slide the SI headrest. Optionally, the mounting plate can
still be moved in height by loosening the 4 bolts (H) and moving the mounting plate one step higher.
This causes the SI headrest to rise above the seat.
ANATOMICAL NECK CUSHION (8720831)
As an additional support, the Side-Impact headrest can be fitted with an anatomical neck cushion with
folding clasps that provide additional support for the child's head and neck
SIDE SUPPORTS (NLPE040/041)
The side supports (I) are placed in the slots in the backrest. Then fix the side supports using the
clamp levers on the backrest.
OUTER KNEE SUPPORTS (NLPE043/044)
The outer knee supports are fitted on the outside of the seat plate by means of two bolts (J). These
knee supports are provided with a cover.
REAR SEAT PROTECTION (NLPE011)
I.C.M. PROTECTION PILLOWS (NLSW071/NLSW070)
The rear seat protector and protective pads are used to protect the rear seat. Place the protective
cushions on the rear seat (backrest and seat) and the rear seat protector on the outside of the
protective cushion. The end of the plate is level with the side of the rear seat. For example, the back
seat is protected when the car seat is extended.

5-point chest harness (accessory NLPE047 Small en NLPE048 Large)
The 5-point chest harness is especially suitable for the Stingray Swing-out and is the only additional
fitting accessory that is permitted with this car seat. This 5-point chest harness is not a safety belt but
is intended to further secure your child in the seat unit. The 5-point belt is fitted on the bottom and
rear of the seat unit with folding buckles.
1.Open the 5-point harness by clicking on A and B from the harness
attachment. (Fig. 1).
2. 2. Pull the shoulder straps out and place the shoulder straps as far
out as possible. This makes it easier for your child to move through
the shoulder straps with the arms (Fig. 2).
Now place your child as deeply as possible in the Stingray Swing-out
seat.

4. Then pull the straps A and B (Fig. 6)
Tighten to secure the 5-point belt.
Make sure there is a maximum of 1cm of
clearance between your child and the shoulder
straps (Fig 7).
5.Then place the 3-point car seat belt (B) over your child and
close it. Make sure that the two seat belts are placed correctly
over the child (Fig 8). Ensure that the seat belt is not
positioned too high when mounted on the front seat. See fig 9.
Other fixing systems are not to be used in the Stingray swing-out as it will
invalidate its ECE-44.04 approval.
