Things to do
Read carefully these instructions before fitting your car seat.
Remember, an incorrect installation could be dangerous.
Save these instructions in a safe place, preferably with the car seat or
in the vehicle so that you can find themfor future reference.
Ensure that, once the car seat is fitted, no parts of the seat or vehicles
seat belt can get trapped by a folding seat or the vehicle door.
Make sure that the vehicles seat belt is tight and the car seat is held
firmly in place every time you use the car seat.
Check every time you place your child in the car seat that the safety
harness is properly adjusted and the buckle is correctly locked.
VERY IMPORTANT : SEMI-UNIVERSAL Category. Fitting always by Isofix con-
Regularly check the car seat for signs of wear, especially the cover,
nectors, together with the 3-point safety seat belt (see Vehicle Application List ).

the harness and the buckle.
Should the child car seat be worn, contact your retailer’s after-sales
service.
Check every time you fit the car seat that the vehicle seat belt has not
become twisted.
Before travelling, check that luggage or other heavy or sharp objects
are secured in the car. Loose objects are liable to cause injury in the
event of an accident.
When travelling with other passengers using the front and rear seats,
the lighter occupant should be in the rear of the vehicle and the
heavier occupant in the front passenger seat.
Also make sure that each passenger uses the vehicle safety belts
correctly.
Whenever the car seat is left in the vehicle without the child in it,
always ensure it is correctly fitted using the vehicle seat belt and
the Isofix connectors, to prevent it from being thrown about in the
event of an accident.
Car interiors can become very hot when left in direct sunlight. It is
therefore recommended that the car seat, when not in use, is covered
by ( for example ) a towel. This prevents components, particularly
those attached to the child car seat, becoming hot and burning the
child.
Things not to do
IMPORTANT: Never install the seat by using only the Isofix
connectors. They must ALWAYS be used in combination with the car
seat safety belts.
Never use the child seat without fastening the child’s harness cor-
rectly, and never use it without fastening it into the car as described
in these fitting instructions.
Never place any padding between the base of the car seat and the
vehicle seat, as it could impair the safety of the car seat.
Do not add or modify this product in any way.
Never use spare parts that are not recommended or supplied by the
manufacturer.

4
Any unauthorized modifications could make the child car seat
unsafe; only the manufacturer is authorized to make modifications to
this child car seat.
Do not leave a child in the seat or in the car unattended, at any time.
Do not allow children to play with this child seat.
Never install or remove this child seat from the vehivle with your
child in it.
Never use this child seat without its cover, which constitutes an
integral part of the restraint and should notbe replaced with any
other than the one recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not allow your car seat to come into contact with corrosive
substances e.g. battery acid, solvents etc.
Never use this child seat if it has been in an accident, or it has badly
worn out.
In the event of an emergency
In case of an emergency your child can be released quickly by
pressing the red button on the buckle of the car safety belt.
If your child seat has been involved in an accident, you MUST dispose
of it and purchase a new one.
Even if your child seat shows no signs of damage, there may be
weakness that you are unable to see. If this childseat is involved in
another accident it may fail to protect your child.
For this reason we suggest that you never use or purchase a second
hand car seat.

Your child seat must only be installed forward facing using a three point
seatbelt (1) (2) with retractor, in the front or rear seats of the vehicle.
Checking the vehicle seat belt buckle ( Fig. 3, 4).
The position of the seat belt buckle can affect the stability of the
child safety seat. If the buckle lies across the seat as shown in the picture,
this child seat is not suitable for use with this seat belt or this vehicle.
USE OF THE CAR SEAT DEPENDING ON THE CHILD'S WEIGHT ( Fig.5,6)
With the child seat harness - From 9 to 18 kg ( from 9 months to 4
years of age approximately).
With the car safety seat belt - From 15 to 36 Kg (from 4 to 11 years
of age approximately).
Warning: Use this child seat ONLY for securing your child in your
vehicle.
This seat CANNOT be used against the direction of travel.
Place the child seat on the appropriate vehicle seat.
Make sure that the vehicle’s backrest is blocked in the upright position
Ensure the vehicle seat is adjusted in the most rearward position.
Always observe your country regulations.
IV. Fitting Instructions
Make sure that the seat on which you intend to fit the child car seat is
suitable, particularly with regard to space and correct safety beltpath.
Ensure that the safety belt is not twisted and that the slack is recovered
by the retractor.
Headrest Adjustment (Fig.7): The headrest is adjustable independently of
the backrest. Keep it in the lowest position for children from 9 to 18 Kg.
and move it to the highest position for children over 18 kg.

6
USING THE ISOFIX CONNECTORS ( Fig. 8-10 )
SLF 123 comes with plastic guides (that you can use should your
vehicle not have any) so as to guide the Isofix connectors in their
appropriate position in correspondence with your car seats’
anchorage points .
Line up the two plasic guides with the Isofix connecting points.
Insert the two Isofix connectors in the guides.
Click both Isofix connectors to the Iso-fix anchor points .
IMPORTANT: Make sure that both connectors are properly attached
to the Isofix anchor points (you should clearly hear two “clicks”).
When the Isofix connectors are properly attached, the safety
indicator (1) on each side of the Isofix connectors group is completely
green.
Complete the installation by using the car safety belts, following the
instructions referred to the different weight categories of the child.
To release the Isofix connectors ( Fig.11 ):
Press both release devices (2) as shown in the illustration.
To operate in a better condition, you may move the backrest slightly
upwards.
FIXING THE CHILD CAR SEAT FROM 9 TO 18 KG ( Fig.12-14)
(Application range from 9 months to 4 years of age approx.)
Check that both Isofix connectors are properly attached to the Isofix
anchor points.
Insert the safety belts of the vehicle through the two slots located in
the lower part of the backrest of the child car seat.
Insert the lap and diagonal sections of the car safety belt through the
opening of the belt guide located on the armrest which is closer to
the buckle of the car safety belt.
Fasten the seat belt.
Ensure that none of the parts of the car safety belt are twisted or
trapped and that the cover of the child car seat does not restrict or
prevent the correct movement or fitting of the car safety belt.
