ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO
1. Informazioni sul prodotto
Tippy Pad è un dispositivo in grado di supportare l’at-
tività di controllo dei genitori/tutori su bambini di età
compresa tra 0 e 4 anni.
Tippy Pad deve essere posizionato sulla seduta del
seggiolino in auto. Tramite speciali sensori riesce a ri-
levare la presenza del bambino su di esso, dialogando
con l’apposita applicazione, disponibile su App Store
e Play Store.
Si raccomanda di utilizzare solo seggiolini omologati
e conformi alle normative vigenti. Leggere le istruzioni
del seggiolino prima di posizionare Tippy Pad. Grazie
all’applicazione il genitore, che si allontana dall’au-
to lasciando il bambino seduto sul seggiolino, viene
avvertito tramite un allarme sonoro. Se questo primo
livello di allarme non viene disattivato dal genitore si
abilita un secondo livello di allerta che consiste nell’in-
viare un SMS ad alcuni numeri telefonici preimpostati
dall’utente.
I contatti di emergenza devono essere registrati utiliz-
zando numeri di telefonia mobile. Nel contenuto del
messaggio SMS sono indicate le coordinate
geografiche del luogo dell’avvenuto abbandono. Gli
SMS sono inclusi nel costo del prodotto e non consu-
mano il credito telefonico dell’utente, funzionano in-
fatti grazie al traffico dati (internet). Tippy Pad è stato
progettato come dispositivo di supporto alla supervi-
sione dei genitori e, in quanto tale, non la sostituisce.
Prima di ogni utilizzo verificare il corretto funzionamen-
to di Tippy Pad. Verificare inoltre che:
-Lo smartphone abbia il Bluetooth® attivo;
- Tippy Pad sia associato correttamente allo smartpho-
ne;
- Lo smartphone abbia il traffico dati (internet) abili-
tato ed un credito sufficiente affinché questo funzioni
correttamente;
- I servizi di localizzazione e il GPS siano attivi, al fine
di poter inviare le corrette coordinate geografiche.
Si segnala che l’utente potrà:
- gestire con il proprio smartphone fino a 4 Tippy Pad
contemporaneamente;
- associare Tippy Pad a più telefoni, utilizzando lo stes-
so account oppure creandone di nuovi. Per maggiori

Si ricorda inoltre che in caso di spegnimento dello
smartphone Tippy Pad non può funzionare corretta-
mente.

1.1. Tippy-Fi: l’accessorio alternativo allo
smartphone
Tippy-Fi è un pratico accessorio da abbinare al pro-
prio Tippy Pad. Utilizzato come portachiavi dell’auto
permette di rilevare l’allontanamento del veicolo con
bimbo a bordo attraverso un costante allarme sonoro
e luminoso. Tippy-Fi utilizza tecnologia Bluetooth per
comunicare direttamente con il dispositivo posto sul
seggiolino, senza la necessità di utilizzare applicazioni
o telefoni. Per maggior informazioni visitare la pagina

1.2. Avvertenze generali
1. Gli elementi dell’imballaggio (sacchetti in plastica,
scatole di cartone, ecc.) non devono essere lasciati
alla portata dei bambini in quanto potenziali fonti di
pericolo;
2. Prima di utilizzare l’apparecchio verificare che il pro-
dotto e tutti i suoi componenti non si presentino dan-
neggiati. In caso contrario non utilizzare l’apparecchio
ma rivolgersi a personale qualificato o al rivenditore;
3. Per evitare il rischio di surriscaldamento, tenere Tip-
py Pad lontano da fonti di calore, come per esempio
caloriferi, stufe, fornelli, ecc.;
4. Non porre in corto circuito i morsetti di alimenta-
zione.

QUESTO PRODOTTO È CONFORME ALLA DI-
RETTIVA EU 2012/19/CE.
Il simbolo del cestino barrato riportato sull’apparec-
chio indica che il prodotto, alla fine della propria vita
utile, dovendo essere trattato separatamente dai ri-
fiuti domestici, deve essere conferito in un centro di
raccolta differenziata per apparecchiature elettriche
ed elettroniche oppure riconsegnato al rivenditore al
momento dell’acquisto di una nuova apparecchiatura
equivalente. Lo smaltimento separato delle pile conte-
nute all’interno del prodotto è ad opera del consorzio
che si occuperà dello smaltimento dell’intero RAEE.
L’utente è responsabile del conferimento dell’appa-
recchio a fine vita alle appropriate strutture di rac-
colta. L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio
successivo dell’apparecchio dismesso al riciclaggio,
al trattamento e allo smaltimento ecologicamente
compatibile contribuisce ad evitare possibili effet-
ti negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce
il riciclo dei materiali di cui è composto il prodotto.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell’u-
tente comporta delle sanzioni amministrative di cui al
D.Lgs. n. 22/1997 (art.50 e seguenti del D.Lgs 22/97).
Per informazioni più dettagliate inerenti i sistemi di rac-
colta disponibili, rivolgersi al servizio locale di smal-
timento rifiuti, o al negozio in cui è stato effettuato
l’acquisto.
CONFORMITA’ ALLA DIRETTIVA EU 2006/66/
CE E SUCCESSIVE MODIFICHE.
Il simbolo del cestino barrato riportato sulle pile o sulla
confezione del prodotto, indica che le stesse, alla fine
della propria vita utile, dovendo essere trattate se-
paratamente dai rifiuti domestici, non devono essere
smaltite come rifiuto urbano, ma devono essere con-
ferite in un centro di raccolta differenziata oppure ri-
consegnate al rivenditore al momento dell’acquisto di
pile ricaricabili e non ricaricabili nuove equivalenti. Lo
smaltimento separato delle pile contenute all’interno
del prodotto è ad opera del consorzio che si occuperà
dello smaltimento dell’intero RAEE. Viene lasciata la
facoltà – e non l’obbligo – di fare il ritiro secondo il cri-
terio dell’uno contro zero ai distributori con superficie
di vendita di AEE al dettaglio inferiore ai 400 mq e ai
distributori che effettuano vendite mediante tecniche
di comunicazion a distanza (vendita online).
L’eventuale simbolo chimico Hg, Cd, Pb, posto sotto
al cestino barrato indica il tipo di sostanza contenuta
nella pila, Hg = Mercurio, Cd = Cadmio, Pb = Piombo.
L’utente è responsabile del conferimento delle pile a
fine vita alle appropriate strutture di raccolta al fine di
agevolare il trattamento e il riciclaggio.
L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo
delle pile esauste al riciclaggio, al trattamento e allo
smaltimento ecologicamente compatibile contribui-
sce ad evitare possibili effetti negativi sull’ambiente e
sulla salute umana e favorisce il riciclo delle sostanze
di cui sono composte le pile.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell’u-
tente comporta danni all’ambiente e alla salute umana.

colta disponibili, rivolgersi al servizio locale di smal-
timento rifiuti, o al negozio in cui è stato effettuato
l’acquisto.
1.5. Dichiarazione di conformità
Con la presente Digicom dichiara che Tippy Pad è con-
forme ai requisiti essenziali ed alle altre disposizioni
pertinenti stabilite dalla direttiva 2014/53/UE.
Copia della dichiarazione di conformità completa è
consultabile all’indirizzo: www.tippyonboard.com.
In accordo alla decisione della Commissione Europea
N°2000/299/CE del 06/04/2000 la banda di frequenza
utilizzata da questo prodotto è armonizzata in tutti i
Paesi EU pertanto questo è un prodotto di classe 1 e
può essere liberamente utilizzato in tutti i Paesi della
Comunità Europea.
Digicom si riserva il diritto di modificare in qualsia-
si momento e senza preavviso quanto descritto nel
presente manuale di istruzioni. La riproduzione, la tra-
smissione, la trascrizione nonché la traduzione in al-
tra lingua anche parziale in qualsiasi forma di questo
manuale sono assolutamente vietate senza la previa
autorizzazione scritta da parte di Digicom.
1.6. Autocertificazione conformita’ DL122
Digicom dichiara che il dispositivo anti abbandono Tip-
py Smart Pad utilizzato in combinazione con apposito
applicativo per dispositivo di telefonia mobile “Tippy”
o in combinazione con l’accessorio Tippy-Fi è confor-
me alle disposizioni del DM n° 122 del 02/10/2019

1.7. Tecnologia bluetooth e prove SAR
L’azienda Digicom per confermare l’assoluta sicurezza
della tecnologia Bluetooth utilizzata dal dispositivo
anti abbandono Tippy Pad, ha effettuato sul prodotto
prove SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) presso il labora-
torio Sicom Testing.
Queste tipologie di test misurano la percentuale di
energia elettromagnetica assorbita dal corpo umano
quando questo si trova nei pressi di un campo magne-
tico a radiofrequenza. I valori così ottenuti permettono
di verificare che vengano rispettati i limiti previsti di
sicura esposizione ai campi elettromagnetici. Le emis-
sioni di Tippy Pad sono ampiamente inferiori al limite
di legge.

1.8. Garanzia
Il prodotto è garantito contro ogni difetto di confor-
mità in normali condizioni di utilizzo secondo quanto
previsto dalle istruzioni d’uso. La garanzia non sarà ap-
plicata, dunque, in caso di danni derivanti da un uso
improprio, usura o eventi accidentali.
Per la durata della garanzia sui difetti di conformità si
rinvia alle specifiche previsioni delle normative nazio-
nali applicabili nelpaese d’acquisto, dove previste.
2. Installazione del dispositivo
Tippy Pad sul seggiolino
Tippy Pad è installabile su qualsiasi seggiolino auto.
2.1 Installazione su seggiolino con
spartigambe
Installare il Tippy Pad sul seggiolino (come mostrato
nella Figura 1) facendo passare l’ancoraggio sparti-
gambe della cintura di sicurezza (mostrato con un cer-
chio rosso) attraverso la fessura orizzontale del Tippy
Pad (mostrato nella Figura 2 con un cerchio verde).
Tutti i passaggi di installazione sono mostrati nella Fi-
gura 3.
2.2 Installazione su seggiolino senza
spartigambe
Qualora il seggiolino non disponesse di ancoraggio
spartigambe Tippy Pad può essere ugualmente posi-
zionato sulla seduta. Per una salda installazione si sug-
gerisce in questo caso di interporre un velcro maschio
biadesivo (non fornito nella confezione) sulla seduta in
quanto il retro del dispositivo fuge già da velcro fem-
mina. (come mostrato in Figura 4).
2.3 Installazione su seggiolino con
riduttore
Il dispositivo Tippy Pad può essere installato anche in
presenza di un riduttore. L’utente dovrà semplicemen-
te posizionare il cuscinetto sopra il riduttore (come
mostrato in Figura 5).
1. Installa il Tippy Pad sul seggiolino (come mostrato
nella Figura 1) facendo passare l’ancoraggio sparti-
gambe della cintura di sicurezza (mostrato con un cer-
chio rosso) attraverso la fessura orizzontale del Tippy
Pad (mostrato nella Figura 2 con un cerchio verde).
3 Funzioni fornite dall’App mobile
3.1. Download applicazione Android/
/iOS.
L’applicazione “Tippy” è presente su App Store e Go-
ogle Play Store. Per scaricarla occorre digitare “Tippy”
sugli stores o scansionare il QR presente sul retro di
questo manuale.
3.2. Procedura di registrazione al servizio
Per registrarsi al servizio cliccare ed su “Registrati” in-
serire i propri dati oppure effettuare il login tramite un
account Facebook o Google (Figura 6).
3.3. Associazione di Tippy Pad allo
smartphone
All’interno del sito ufficiale www.tippyonboard.com è
possibile visionare il tutorial di associazione.
L’utente tramite il proprio account potrà gestire fino
ad un massimo di 4 Tippy Pad contemporaneamente.
Allo stesso tempo potrà associare al proprio Tippy Pad
più telefoni.
ATTENZIONE!
Tippy Pad può connettersi ad un solo smartphone alla
volta pertanto l’associazione a più smartphone, del
medesimo Tippy Pad, non può avvenire in maniera si-
multanea.
A) All’apertura l’applicazione mostra la schermata ini-
ziale (Figura 7). Se il Bluetooth del telefono non è attivo
l’applicazione richiede di attivarlo. Per associare il Tip-
py Pad allo smartphone cliccare sul simbolo .
B) A seguito del click sul simbolo verrà mostrata la
schermata di associazione (Figura 8). Dopo aver in-
stallato correttamente del dispositivo Tippy Pad sul
seggiolino (come mostrato nel Paragrafo “Installazione
del dispositivo Tippy Pad sul seggiolino”), Tippy Pad
in corrispondenza della scritta “Smart Pad” (Figura 9) e
avvicinarsi ad esso con lo smartphone.
C) Dopo aver premuto corrispondenza della scrit-
ta “Smart Pad” del Tippy Pad, inserire il Se-
rial Number scansionando il QR code pre-
sente sulla prima pagina di questo manuale o
all’interno del prodotto stesso (figura 10). In alter-
nativa è possibile inserire direttamente il numero
seriale digitandolo e cliccando sul tasto “Cerca”.
Una volta avvenuta l’associazione, l’applicazione mo-
strerà un messaggio di conferma: “Dispositivo asso-
ciato”.
D) Una volta associato il dispositivo allo smar-
tphone procedere inserendo il nome del bambi-
no che occupa il seggiolino e i contatti telefonici a
cui viene inoltrato l’SMS di emergenza (Figura 11).
Si ricorda che gli SMS sono inclusi nel costo di prodot-
to e non consumano il credito telefonico dell’utente.
E) Salvare i dati cliccando su “Salva”.
F) A ciascuno smartphone possono essere associati al

massimo quattro Tippy Pad.
G) Nella Figura 12 viene mostrata la schermata iniziale
dell’applicazione.
Ogni Tippy Pad può assumere quattro stati:
1. “Disconnesso”: Il genitore si allontana dal Tippy Pad
ed i sensori del dispositivo non ricevono stimoli di
peso da più di 3 minuti.
2. “Connesso”: il genitore si avvicina al Tippy Pad ed
il bambino non è seduto su di esso.
Es. Il genitore si trova in macchina vicino al seggiolino
che però non risulta essere occupato dal bambino.
N.B: Tippy Pad si attiva automaticamente ogni volta
che rileva un peso, è quindi sufficiente una leggera
pressione nella parte centrale per attivarlo.
3. “Connesso con bambino seduto”: il genitore è vi-
cino al Tippy Pad ed il bambino è seduto su di esso.
Es. Il genitore si trova in macchina vicino al seggiolino
che risulta essere occupato dal bambino.
4. “Disconnesso con bambino seduto”: il genitore si
trova lontano dal Tippy Pad e il bambino è seduto
su di esso.
Es. il genitore si è allontanato dalla macchina lasciando
il bambino in macchina seduto sul seggiolino.
Una volta che il Tippy Pad entra nello stato “Discon-
nesso con bambino seduto” viene riprodotto un suono
di allarme e parte un conto alla rovescia della durata
di 40 secondi. Durante questo lasso di tempo l’utente
ha la possibilità di silenziare l’allarme e inibire l’invio
dell’SMS (Figura 13).
La generazione del messaggio di allarme e conse-
guente invio dell’SMS di emergenza rimangono attivi
anche quando le applicazioni si trovano in stato di
background.
3.4 Durata e Monitoraggio
Livello Batteria
La batteria ha una durata stimata
di 4 anni, basandosi su un utilizzo medio di 2 ore al
giorno. La batteria non è ricaricabile né sostituibile.
L’azienda Digicom ha effettuato questa scelta per una
questione di sicurezza nei confronti dei consumatori,
affinché sostituendola o ricaricandola non vadano a
comprometterne la funzionalità essendo un prodotto
elettronico. Inoltre Digicom ha scelto di utilizzare una
batteria che resiste fino a 85 gradi, perché all’interno
dell’auto si possono raggiungere temperature molto
alte. Le batterie sostituibili in commercio normalmente
non reggono oltre i 60 gradi. La batteria di Tippy Pad
garantisce massima performance e sicurezza anche in
condizioni climatiche estreme. Il livello batteria di Tip-
py Pad è visualizzabile sulla schermata principale
dell’app, quando Tippy Pad è “connesso con bambino
seduto”.
Nel caso in cui la batteria fosse scarica l’utente verrà
avvisatodall’applicazione con un messaggio (Figura
14), che darà le corrette indicazioni da seguire. L’uten-
te dovrà infatti rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore oppure
contattare il customer service per la sostituzione del
prodotto.
3.5. Impostazioni
Cliccare sul simbolo nella schermata iniziale (Figura
8) per accedere alle impostazioni dell’applicazione.

In questa sezione è possibile:
- Modificare il suono di allarme (cliccare su “Notifiche”);
- Leggere i termini e le condizioni d’uso (cliccare su
“Termini e condizioni”);
- Visualizzare una guida interattiva all’uso del Tippy Pad
(cliccare su “Aiuto”).
- Per uscire definitivamente dall’applicazione cliccare
su “Logout”. Una volta effettuato il “Logout” l’appli-
cazione smetterà di funzionare e non sarà possibile
rilevare la presenza del bambino sul seggiolino. Per
utilizzare correttamente Tippy Pad è necessario rien-
trare nell’applicazione.
ATTENZIONE!
Per tutti i dispositivi iOS che hanno effettuato il logout
è necessario effettuare nuovamente l’associazione con
il Tippy Pad precedentemente registrato per ripristi-
narne il corretto funzionamento.
4. Manutenzione del prodotto
Il rivestimento esterno è sfoderabile e lavabile secon-
do le istruzioni indicate sull’etichetta interna.
Seguire attentamente le istruzioni per evitare danneg-
giamenti:
1. Aprire la zip ed estrarre l’interno avendo cura di
conservarlo, quando privo di rivestimento, in luogo
asciutto e pulito.
2. Inserire nuovamente l’interno dopo il lavaggio, po-
sizionando il sensore di peso rivolto verso il lato del
rivestimento con la scritta Tippy Pad.
3. Non manomettere né smontare l’interno, non rimuo-
vere il sensore di peso.

ENGLISH
1. About the product
Tippy Pad is a device which supports parents to con-
trol their children between 0 and 4 years old. Tippy
Pad must be placed on child seat and through spe-
cial sensors can detect the presence of the child on it,
interacting with the application, available on the App
Store and Play Store.
It is recommended to use only approved seats whi-
ch comply with current regulations. Read the seat in-
structions before placing Tippy Pad. Thanks to the Tip-
py Pad mobile application the parent is warned with
an acoustic alarm if the child is leaved in the car seat. If
the parent does not hear the alarm sound an emercen-
gy SMS is sent to a list of preset telephone numbers.
Emergency contacts must be registered using mo-
bile phone numbers. SMS message content indi-
cates the geographical coordinates of the place
where the abandonment occurred. SMS messa-
ges are included in the product cost and do not
consume the user’s telephone credit, in fact they
work with mobile data (internet). Tippy Pad is desi-
gned to support but not to replace the monitoring

works correctly.
Also check that:
- The smartphone has activated Bluetooth®;
- Tippy Pad is associated correctly with the smartpho-
ne;
- The smartphone has activated mobile datas (internet)
and has sufficient data credit, in order to let it work
properly.
- Location services and GPS are active in order to send
the proper geographical coordinates.
Please note that the user may:
- manage with his smartphone up to 4 Tippy Pads at
the same time;
- Associate Tippy Pad to multiple phones, using the

1.1. Tippy-Fi: the alternative accessory to
the smartphone
Tippy-Fi is a practical accessory to combine with your
Tippy Pad. Used as a car keychain, it allows you to de-
tect the vehicle’s departure with baby on board throu-
gh a constant sound and light alarm. Tippy-Fi uses
Bluetooth technology to communicate directly with
the device on the car seat, without the need to use
applications or phones. For more information visit the

1.2. General warnings
1. Do not leave any packaging materials (plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, etc.) within the reach of children as
these can be hazardous;
2. Before using the device, make sure that no products
or components are damaged. If it is damaged, do not
use the product and contact a qualified technician or
your dealer;
3. To prevent the risk of overheating, keep Tippy Pad
away from sources of heat, such as heaters, stoves,
cookers, etc.
4. Do not short-circuit the power terminals.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance in-
dicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be
disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by
taking it to a separate waste disposal site for electric
and electronic appliances or by returning it to your
dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The
separate disposal of the batteries contained within the
product is by the consortium that will take care of the
disposal of the entire RAEE. The user is responsible for
taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site
at the end of its life. If the disused appliance is col-

lected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled,
treated and disposed of ecologically; this avoids a
negative impact on both the environment and health,
and contributes towards the recycling of the product’s
materials.

CONFORMITY WITH EU DIRECTIVE 2006/66/
EC AS AMENDED.
The crossed bin symbol on the battery or its packa-
ging, means that the batteries, at the end of their life,
should be disposed of separately from the municipal
waste stream via designated collection facilities ap-
pointed by the government or the local authorities,
or otherwise returned to the dealer when purchasing
new equivalent rechargeable or non-rechargeable
batteries. The separate disposal of the batteries con-
tained within the product is by the consortium that will
take care of the disposal of the entire RAEE. The faculty
- and not the obligation – to carry out the withdrawal
according to the one-for-zero criterion is left to distri-
butors with retail sales area of less than 400 square
meters of AEE and distributors who make sales using
remote communication techniques (online selling).
Chemical symbols (Hg for mercury, Cd for cadmium,
Pb for lead) printed beneath the crossed-out wheeled
bin symbol indicate the type of substance contained
in the battery.
The user is responsible for taking the batteries to spe-
cial waste disposal sites at the end of their life to allow
for their processing and recycling. 1588 20 The cor-
rect disposal of your old toy will help prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment and hu-
man health and favour the recycling of the materials of
which the product is made. Improper disposal of the
product by the user may harm the environment and
human health. For further information regarding the
waste disposal services available, contact your local
waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought
the appliance.

dispositions established by directive 2014/53/UE.

N°2000/299/EC dated 06/04/2000, the frequency
band used by this product has been harmonized for
all EU Countries and therefore this is a Class 1 product

1.7. Bluetooth technology and testing
SAR
The company Digicom to confirm the absolute safety
of the Bluetooth technology used by the Tippy Pad
anti abandonment device, has carried out SAR (Speci-
fic Absorption Rate) tests on the product at the Sicom
Testing laboratory. These tests measure the percenta-
ge of electromagnetic energy absorbed by the human
body when it is near a radio frequency magnetic field.
The values thus obtained make it possible to verify that
the limits of safe exposure to electromagnetic fields
are respected. Tippy Pad emissions are well below the
legal limit.

1.8. Warranty
The product is guaranteed against any conformi-
ty defect in normal conditions of use as provided
by the instructions for use. The warranty shall not
therefore apply in the case of damages caused by
improper use, wear or accidental events. For the
duration of warranty on conformity defects please
refer to the specific provisions of national laws ap-
plicable in the country of purchase, where provided.
2. Installation of Tippy on child
seat
Tippy Pad can be installed on any car seat.
2.1. Installation on a seat with crotch
strap
Install the Tippy Pad on the car seat (as shown in Figu-
re 1) by passing the seatbelt’s leg spreader anchorage
(shown with a red circle) through the horizontal slot of
the Tippy Pad (shown in Figure 2 with a green circle).
All installation steps are shown in Figure 3.

2.2 Installation on a seat without crotch
strap
If the car seat does not have a Tippy Pad leg rest an-
chorage, it can also be placed on the seat. For a firm
installation it is suggested in this case to place a dou-
ble-sided adhesive male Velcro (not supplied in the
package) on the seat as the back of the device already
escapes from the female Velcro. (as shown in Figure 4).
2.3. Installation on a car seat integrated
with car seat reducer
The Tippy Pad can also be installed with a gearbox.
The user simply needs to place the bearing on top of
the gearbox (as shown in Figure 5).
1. Install the Tippy Pad on the seat (as shown in Figure
1) by passing the seatbelt leg strap anchorage (shown
with a red circle) through the horizontal slot of the Tip-
py Pad (shown in Figure 2 with a green circle).
3. Functions of
mobile application
3.1. Download Android/iOS application
1. The “Tippy” mobile application can be downloaded
scanning the QR code present on the back of this ma-
nual or by searching the “Tippy” keyword on App Sto-
re and Google Play Store.
3.2. Sign up procedure
2. To Sign up click on “Sign up” providing the required
informations or signing in using a Facebook or Google
account (
Picture 6 ).
3.3. Connecting Tippy Pad to the smar-
tphone
Inside the official website www.tippyonboard.com
you can view the association tutorial.
The user through his account can manage up to 4 Tip-
py Pads at the same time. At the same time he can
associate to his Tippy Pad several phones.
WARNING!
Tippy Pad can connect to only one smartphone at a
time so the association to more than one smartphone,
of the same Tippy Pad, can not take place simultane-
ously.
A) Once logged in, the application will show its main
screen (Picture 7). If Bluetooth is turned off, the appli-
cation will require to turn it on. Click on the symbol
to connect your Tippy Pad to the smartphone.
B) After clicking on the symbol the association scre-
en will be shown (Figure 8). After correctly installing
the Tippy Pad on the seat (as shown in the section
“Installing the Tippy Pad in the seat”), Tippy Pad at the
“Smart Pad” mark (Figure 9) and approach it with your
smartphone.
C) Provide Tippy Pad Serial Number by scanning with
the camera the QRCode present on the first page
of this manual (it can also be found inside of the pro-
duct Figure 10). You can also directly type the serial
and press the “Search” button. Remember to press
the central part of your Tippy Pad. Once pairing occur,
the application show a confirmation message: “Device
correctly paired”.
D) After Tippy Pad is correctly connected to the smar-
tphone, add the name of your child and the telepho-
ne numbers used to send SMS in case of emergency
(
Picture 11 ).
Please note that SMS messages are included in the
product cost and do not consume telephone credit.
E) Save data clicking on “Save”.
F) Each smartphone can support a maximum of 4 Tippy
Pad.
G) An example of main screen after connection of Tip-
py Pad to a smartphone is shown in
Picture 12 .
Each Tippy Pad supports four status:
1. “Disconnected”: The parent moves away from the
Tippy Pad and the device’s sensors have not received
any weight stimuli for more than 3 minutes.
2. “Connected”: the parent is near the Tippy Pad and
the child is not sitting on it. Tippy Pad activates auto-
matically each time it detects a weight on it. To activa-
te Tippy Pad just press it on the central part.
3. “Connected, Child sitting”: the parent is near Tippy
Pad and the child is sitting on it.
Example: The parent is inside the car near the child
seat where the child is sitting.
4. “Disconnected, Child sitting”: the parent is far
away from Tippy Pad and the child is sitting on it.
Example: The parent is moving away from the car lea-
ving the child sitting on the child seat.
When Tippy Pad is in the “Disconnected, Child sit-
ting” status, an alarm sound is triggered and a count-
down of 40 seconds starts. During this period of time,
the user can turn off the alarm entering in the applica-
tion (Picture 13).
For both Android and iOS platforms, the generation of

alert SMS and alarm sound are triggered even if the
application is in background state.
If the user do not silence the alarm, when the count-
down expires an emergency SMS containing the posi-
tion of the car is forwarded to the emergency telepho-
ne numbers. Note that the position is included in the
alert message only if localization services is enabled
on the phone.
3.4. Level and battery monitoring
The battery has an estimated life of 4 years, based
on an average usage of 2 hours a day. The battery is
neither rechargeable nor replaceable. The Digicom
company has made this choice for a matter of con-
sumer safety, so that replacing or recharging it does
not compromise its functionality as it is an electronic
product. Furthermore, Digicom has chosen to use a
battery that can withstand up to 85 degrees, because
very high temperatures can be reached inside the car.
Commercially available replaceable batteries do not
normally withstand temperatures above 60 degrees.
The Tippy Pad battery guarantees maximum perfor-
mance and safety even in extreme weather conditions.
The battery level of Tippy Pad can be viewed on the
main screen
of the app, when Tippy Pad is “connected with sitting
baby.”
IIn case the battery is low the user will be notified by
the application with a message (Figure 14), which will
give the correct instructions to follow. The user must in
fact contact his dealer or contact the customer service
to replace the product.
3.5. Settings
Click on the symbol in the main screen ( Figure 8 ) to
change the application settings (
Figure 15 ).
- Change the notification sound (click on “Notifica-
tions”);
- Read the terms and conditions for the use (Click on
“Terms and Conditions”);
- Follow a tutorial that explains how to use Tippy Pad
(click on “Help”).
- Click on “Logout” to definitively exit the ap-
plication . When the user click on “Logout”, the
application doesn’t work and it is not possi-
ble anymore to detect the presence of the child.
Open again the application to correctly use Tippy Pad.
WARNING!
For all iOS devices that have logged out, it is necessary
to pairing with the previously registered Tippy Pad
again to restore its correct functioning.
4. Product
maintenance
The outer cover is removable and washable according
to the instructions on the inner label.
Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damages:
1. Open the zip and pull out the inside part, taking care
to keep it, when not covered, in a dry and clean place.
2.Reinsert the interior part after washing, positioning
the weight sensor facing the side of the liner with the
Tippy Pad letter.
3. Do not tamper or dismantle the interior part, do not
remove the weight sensor.
