CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always make sure the kettle is unplugged and powered o before storing away
or cleaning. Make sure the unit has cooled down completely before cleaning.
The base, kettle and power cable must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
Electrical shock hazard!
1. Always allow the entire unit to cool completely before cleaning.

4. Rinse the sieve under running water or clean it using a damp cloth.
5. Reinsert the sieve into its holder in front of the spout. Ensure that it locks
in securely. If the sieve is already very calcied, place it into a mixture of
water and vinegar (6:1 ratio) for a few hours. Aerwards, rinse the sieve
with plenty of clear water.
DESCALING
You should descale the kettle on a regular basis, as a much calcied kettle
requires more electricity. How oen the appliance needs descaling will
depend on the hardness of the water used and frequency of use.
• With normal use, you should descale the kettle every 3 months with so
water and 1x per month with hard water.
• You should descale the appliance regularly to avoid thick calcication
forming on the heating element in the kettle. You can obtain information
about the water hardness in your area from the local water authority. For
descaling, you can use commercially available descaler (pay attention to
manufacturer instructions) or mix household vinegar with water in a 1:1
ratio.
1. Fill the kettle with descaling liquid and boil it.
2. Aerwards, leave the liquid to take eect, for approx. half an hour.
3. Where thick calcication is present: Boil the descaling liquid a second
time. Then, pour it away.
4. Rell the kettle with fresh water, boil the water and also pour it away.
