IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When operating this electric appliance, basic safety instructions should always
be followed. Refer to the following for these instructions
1. READ ALL SAFETY & USAGE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Do not use appliance on wet or hot surfaces, or near a heat source.
3. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse any part of appliance, power
cord or plug in water or other liquid. Unplug from outlet when not in use and
before cleaning.
4. To disconnect, unplug power cord from electrical outlet. Do not disconnect by
pulling on cord.
5. Do not operate appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Do not operate
appliance if it malfunctions or is in any way damaged. For details, contact
Consumer Services.
6. Use appliance only for its intended use.
7. Closely supervise children when using any electrical appliance. Do not allow
appliance to be used as a toy.
8. The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to t in a polarized outlet
only one way. If plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse plug. If it still does
not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not modify plug in any way.
9. Caution: A short power cord is provided to reduce risks from entanglement or
tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used when marked
electrical rating is no less than electrical rating of this appliance. All cords
should not drape over counter or tabletop where cords can be tripped over or
pulled on unintentionally, especially by children.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven. Extreme
caution must be used when moving products containing hot liquids.
11. Do not place the base of your kettle in a metal tray. If water spills over in to
the tray, and a build-up occurs, it could become dangerous to touch.
12. Position the kettle to the rear of work surfaces to prevent over hanging of the
power cord. Water can remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and
can present a scald hazard.

FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
Electrical 3-conductor Cord Set:
Appliance is equipped with a
3-conductor cord set that has a 3 prong
grounding-type plug. It should be
properly connected to a grounding-type
a 3-grounding outlet unit, and as such,
the grounding prong should never be
removed. If needed, purchase a 2-prong
adapter and ground it to the outlet.
Do not use an adapter unless you are
for assistance.
A short power cord or a detachable power
cord is provided to reduce the risks of resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord accidentally.

Maintain water temperature: Press for 3 seconds.
When the buzzer beeps, the heater will start
boiling and the LED light will be illuminated in red.
When the water reaches boiling, the kettle will
maintain the water temperature for 2 hours with
the insulation function.
Change the temperature to 140°F: Press once.
The LED light changes from red to green, and the kettle will
stop heating once the water temperature has reached 140°F.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove all packaging, stickers or accessories from both the inside and
outside of the kettle.
2. Adjust the length of the cord by winding it under the base. Wedge the
cord into the notch.
USE
1. Open the lid by pressing the button
at the top of the handle.
2. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water:
• You can ll it through the spout, which ensures better maintenance
of the lter.
• Never ll the kettle when it is on its base.
• You must cover at lease the bottom of the kettle with water.
• Do not ll the kettle above the maximum level.
If the kettle is too full, boiling water may spill out.
• Do not use the kettle without water.
• Check that the lid is closed properly before use.
• The kettle must always be used with its own lter.
3. Close the lid.
4. Place the base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away
from any heat sources.
Note: Your kettle must only be used with the base that accompanies it and
with its own anti-scale lter.
5. Position the kettle on its base and plug it into the electrical outlet.
The power will turn on automatically once the kettle is placed on its base.

6. Press the button. You hear a beep and the kettle starts boiling.
Change the temperature to 158°F: Press twice.
The LED light changes from green to blue and the kettle
stops heating once the water temperature has reached 158°F.
Change the temperature to 176°F: Press three times.
The LED light changes from blue to yellow and the kettle
stops heating once the water temperature has reached 176°F.
Change the temperature to 194°F: Press four times.
The LED light changes from yellow to purple and the kettle
stops heating once the water temperature has reached 194°F.
7. Once the water reaches the boiling point, or the chosen temperature, the
kettle will switch o automatically and the interior light & indicator light
turn o.
• If you want to stop it manually, remove the kettle from its base to pour
the water.
• Make sure that the On/O button is in the O position after boiling and that
the kettle has switched o before removing it from its base.
• Throw away the water from the rst two/three uses.
• Do not leave water in the kettle after use as this quickens the formation
of scale.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CLEAN THE KETTLE
• Unplug the kettle base.
• Let the kettle cool down and clean it with a damp sponge.
• Never immerse the kettle, its base, the cord or the electric plug in water. The
electrical connections or the switch should never come into contact with water.
• Do not use scouring pads.
CLEAN THE FILTER
The removable lter consists of a mesh to retain the particles of scale and
prevent them falling into your cup when pouring. This lter neither treats nor
removes the hardness of the water so it conserves all the qualities of the water.
With very hard water, the lter can clog very quickly, after 10 to 15 uses so it is
important to clean the lter regularly.
• If the lter is wet, put it under running water.
• If the lter is dry, brush it gently.
To remove the anti-scale lter, lift the kettle o its base and allow it to cool. Never
remove the lter when the appliance is full of hot water.
DESCALING
To keep the kettle working well, you should descale regularly, preferably at least
once a month or more frequently if your water is very hard.
There are three dierent ways you can descale your kettle:
Using white vinegar:
1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of vinegar.
2. Let the vinegar soak in the kettle for 1 hour. Do not turn on the kettle during
this time.
3. Pour out the liquid and rinse 5 or 6 times.
Using citric acid:
1. Boil 2 cups of water in the kettle.
2. Add 5 teaspoons of citric acid and let it soak for 15 minutes.
3. Pour out the liquid and rinse 5 or 6 times.
Using a descaler:
1. Use a descaler specically for plastic kettles and follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
2. Empty your kettle and rinse 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.

Problem: The kettle does not work or stops before coming to the boil.
Possible Causes:
•Check that your kettle is properly connected.
•The kettle has been switched on without water.
•An accumulation of scale has caused the overheat cut-out to operate:
Solutions:
•Allow the kettle to cool for at least 15 minutes and fill it with water.
•Descale first if scale has accumulated.
•Switch the kettle on. ·
Problem: The water tastes of plastic.
Possible Causes:
Generally, this happens when the kettle is new.
Solutions:
Discard the water from the rst few boilings.
If the problem persists, fill the kettle to maximum and add two teaspoons of baking
soda. Bring to a boil and descale the water. Rinse the kettle thoroughly.
Problem: The kettle has been dropped, it leaks, or there is damage to the power
cord, plug, or base of the kettle.
Solutions:
•Do not use the kettle. No attempt must be made to dismantle the kettle or its
safety devices.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
after-sales service centre or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid any
danger.
•Return your kettle to your local After-Sales Service Center; only they are
autho-rized to carry out repairs. See the guarantee conditions and list of
centers in the booklet supplied with your kettle. The type and serial number
are shown on the bottom of your kettle. This guarantee covers manufacturing
defects and domestic use only. Any breakage or damage resulting from failure
to comply with the instructions for use is not covered by the guarantee.
•Reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components of its kettles at
any time in the interest of the consumer.
This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date of purchase. It is
applicable to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third
party user. Repair or replacement of defective parts is solely at the seller’s
discretion. In the event that repair isn’t possible, the seller will replace the
product/part. If product repair/replacement won’t suce, the seller has the
option of refunding the cash value of the product or component returned.
Product defects not covered under the Warranty provisions include normal
wear and damage incurred from use or accidental negligence, misuse of
instruction specications or repair by unauthorized parties. The manufactur-
ing company is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages
incurred by such circumstances.

DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE

waste-recycling center.
